Thousands of post civil war rifles were in use up until the 1900"s for hunting, not every bullet is from the civil war unless a battle or skirmish site. I have even found them north of the border. The .58" was used because take home or cheap surplus rifles.
That is so true. We really can't say when the bullet was fired or dropped, however they were used mostly during the civil war and represent that time. Also, on my previous video, my friend Billy found an Eagle breast plate in the same area. The field beside that area that is now a huge Chemical plant was hunted many years ago and civil war related items were found there. Here in Va. We have a lot of Civil war History. Thanks for watching and commenting.
