Late to the party, but I can confirm seeing Skully played live in Auckland, NZ in 2001. Blew my mind by how bright it was and I definitely haven't forgotten.
The sticker on the Nimitz concert was that of VFA-97 Warhawks. It was the squadron patch sticker. 29:43

it's super fun to watch this entire episode because Joey is just like me, skully is the bass. for me, skully represent blink-182, it's the bass that got me hooked up when the first time I learn about them in 2007.
years ago when my first attempt at rebuilding skully, I didn't have this much details, so instead I ended up replicating the pink octopus jazz that Mark gave away to ADTR's bassist back when they toured together. anyway, thanks for this guys!

The first time I saw skully was in a video that was on their official site and I’m pretty sure it was during the recording sessions for TOYPAJ since they were releasing a lot of behind the scenes videos from the studio at the time. So I want to say the video was made on the actual day that mark first got it and that he recorded TOYPAJ with it well before the rock show video or any performances. I can’t track down the video now but I know I’m not making the video up. I have vivid memories of it because it’s been my dream bass ever since.

@billyfairhurst5712 In the interview of A Day in Life of 2003, Mark said that he recorded all the songs of TOYPAJ with Lettuce, the turquoise bass, also in the album launch of that same year it is seen that he recorded songs from the self-titled album with it.

I have so much regret letting go of my shell pink one. I got so lucky a few years ago and found a mint shell pink one for 1k cad. Doubled it when i sold it but i should have kept it. had an OG surf from the very first batch too (looked more seafoam). If i ever get another one of these i'll hold on to it for good.
