I always knew Sikhs were warriors, in a vague sort of way... We have many in Canada. After seeing this, I definitely have no doubt. God help the man who makes fun of your beard!

My god, this is very high level kind of martial arts, although it does not enjoy the fanfare and "branding" of the other chinese or japanese arts or even the filipino arts, trust me the punjabs have a lot to offer.

I absolutely have nothing but pride to know that my Sikh heritage has such a refined and cultivated martial art. To know that it is also a internal system of combat also makes me happy. With this realization I am sure that the art has a pugilistic nature or a way to endure punishment while issuing it. The illusive rollbacks while moving towards the opponent and shoulder rolls with side-stepping footwork shows a style that is aggressive to engage while defensive. Stillness and then motion, wow.

Like a real Nihang. He has none of the weak BS of modern Sikhs crying about discrimination and getting offended over every little thing. Wanna grab a beard, grab a beard, but expect to loose an arm. If you have one, protect it. If you can't...you lose. He treats a kara for what it is, a weapon, not this new age stuff about the circle being God's lack of a beginning and end, it is like being a 'slave' to God, or a constant reminder never to commit a sin with your hand. It's all about brutality.
