Some of thee best musicians come out of the black church. Of course with the internet now people are sharing and you get to peak in and study us. It’s definitely something special.❤️❤️

    I loved this video. The vibe is fantastic! What I noticed immediately, and then set the playback speed to 0.25 to catch this, is the so called "flying fingers". I would get so negative and down on myself for my own flying fingers and watched Scott's lessons on this to tame this issue. And I've practiced to reduce this. But when you watch a video like this and see the amazing technique, vibe, presence, and awesome sound, etc., etc., it's just makes me realize that it's not all absolutely vital to have "absolutely flawless" technique to be able to play amazing music in an amazing way! This video was just a huge encouragement to me! So called barriers are not necessarily barriers at all!! Thank you Andrew! God bless you!

    • @maurocaputi2700
      @maurocaputi2700 6 лет назад +2

      My comments above are restricted to only the pinky and ring finger. None of my comments are meant to be negative at all. There's hope for my own freeting hand technique after all!

    • @kwyman986
      @kwyman986 6 лет назад +1

      Mauro Caputi this man is a tremendous player, but please look elsewhere for a model for good technique. His fingers are definitely flying, which just slows you down and wastes energy. It can also impact your control. However WAY more importantly, his right hand is seriously bad. You are asking for a career-ending injury with such a severely bent wrist. I wish all the best for AG, and don't stop admiring his music...but he is not a good role model for good technique.

    I didn't know modern gospel used Jazz harmonies. What a delicious flavor. That guy's playing is like finding ice cream at the bottom of a cake. I could listen to this for hours.

      Not denying their chops, but a lot of these players have terrible technique. Bent wrist, no alternate plucking, no muting etc

      @@theprogconnoisseur7955 playing it has nothing to do with the shit technique. This guy is a monster no doubt about it but watch him get carpel tunnel or something like that in the coming years. It'll happen.

    All of the people commenting about his right hand technique are simply haters. Who cares- this guy is a pro and can outplay anyone in this comments section- even the ones with perfect right hand technique.

    • @MrBaskevin

      I somehow agree that it could be haters. But I did notice myself, and I do know bass players that got severly injured from having their wrist in this outter position. You might be the best player in church, but for how long?
