Your pops is a good man. Was one of the first NBA players I met as a kid and gave me an autograph. Couldnt understand a damn thing he said, but is a good brotha.
He was raised as an upper class kid around prep schools and professionals his whole life. Kids like that usually sound like little adults by middle school.
Still is. Met him a few years ago here at Georgetown. He had no problem when I've asked to pose with him in a picture. We talked for about 5 minutes about his daughter, who at the time attended Georgetown. The entire family is very humble, approachable, and down to earth. I can't wait to see Ryan arrive here on campus.
It’s great to see a young person so mature and even though he grew up in the home of a millionaire he doesn’t act like a spoiled kid with the expectation that doors will be opened for him. Great job Mutombo family in raising such a fine “gentleman”.
This kid is already a winner just by his attitude. Parenting excellence on display. Modestly and being humble. Champion already without winning a single game
Don't fear about anything you was in good path beside your dad to shine it's just a matter of hard work but you know this to you we just wish health and long life and rip sir mutonbo we was a great man inside and outside the court
GT gives Dikembe and some of his former schoolmates ample "freedom" during recruiting these youngsters. I was opportune to meet him twice and both occasions were filled with great memories
Dikembe was and always will be one of my favourite centers and basketball players of all time. His defensive skills were pretty much unmatched when he was in his prime. And what he has done for the whole humanity, such a good man! I like to imagine his son doing the same things. Maybe bringing back some old school rim protection along with some outside scoring. Taking the things Dikembe started a bit further! And Ryan definitely should adopt the iconic finger wag at some point as I see it as a family heirloom!
How on earth did teammates Dikembe Mutombo and Alonzo Mourning not win an NCAA championship? The same could be said about Shaquille O'Neal and Stanley Roberts at LSU.
I am a big fan of Mutumbo. He taught his kid well. Very humble kid and I hope he will make it to the top. Unlike other NBA players kids, very cocky and think they are too good even though they have not earned shit.
Ewing, Mutumbo and Mourning are three Georgetown legends that are still friends to this day. Patrick will take good care of Ryan at Georgetown.

This kid has character, you can tell from how he carries himself. Wishing him the best at Georgetown.
Always had the sense that Dikembe was a really decent man. Something tells me this proves it.

I love his maturity demeanor and charisma, and of course his voice. For sure he will make top ESPN analyst.
That happens when you grow up rich in the high class areas.
@@returnofthebrotha probably you are correct.
Has somewhat of his pops accent. I know he’s proud of him. Can’t wait to see bro lace up for my Hoyas. 🔥
This is really cool. Loved Dikembe, looks like his son is going to be great too. More importantly the father-son relationship is amazing.
Couldn’t be going to a better situation. Helluva young man. Eternal Blessings Always young fella 🏆
The legend lives on!
Solid young man who has good level of self awareness. He doesn’t sound like a man who would go to GU just because of his dad. Go Hoyas.
Well he's almost as tall as his dad in high school, he could definitely still grow another inch or two.
Wow the heaviest voice ive ever heard. Unbelievable. His son voice heavy but wow dads voice is incredibly heavy. Wow
sounds like one of the star wars' characters... but Dikembe is very nice human being and love watching him swatting shots like a boss

Ryan is well spoken! His dad should be proud.
What a quality family story.
Your dad basketball camp got me where I'm today boy. Keep listening to him and you will get there. Thanks Mr Mutumbo!!

I was thinking the same thing!
Already a fan. Good dude, loved his dad.
The best part is when Motumbo Sr started talking 😂😂😂😂
Can you elaborate?
His voice is like thunder.
All the best
D. Mutombo was a great person
We love you and wish you the best❤
Excellent interviewing skills…impressed with how articulate, clear and composed he was throughout. I hope he’ll have a successful career!!
Very grounded young
Looking forward to winning another Big East Championship with him and Pat Go Hoyas.
Such a great mindset, the young Mutombo seems to be responsible and take seriously his mission to honor the big name.
I love Dikembe, long time Houston fan and he was a hard worker and big reason why we had that 20 game winning streak.
We have been following him in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦. Let's go Hoyas.
Mutombo's heritage is here and i can't wait to see him being an NBA player in the coming years.
Mwana Mboka!
That’s a good look. Keep up that tradition 🙏🏾
High basketball and life IQ like his father
Between the height, the voice, and the demeanor, he's definitely a product of Dikembe Mutombo.
godspeed to him.
I love them Mutombo & his son Mutombo Ryan.
Go Ryan! We’re proud of you
Happy he is coming to Georgetown.
GT gives Dikembe and some of his former schoolmates ample "freedom" during recruiting these youngsters. I was opportune to meet him twice and both occasions were filled with great memories
Never thought I'd ever would of gotten blocked by a mutumbo, but I did.
You should make a shirt that says "I was blocked by a Mutumbo and all I got was this lousy shirt."
Special young man-GTWN 4 life

They won the big east. Ewing got them boys on the rise..
Oof
I love this
His father is my Goat 🐐 with the illest pick up line ever.
He's got a radio voice. God's best to him with his basketball and scholastics
Great🏀 see you on the court!
I think this young man will be a good human and a great addition to the men's team. And I'm sure he'll do good in basketball ball also
How on earth did teammates Dikembe Mutombo and Alonzo Mourning not win an NCAA championship? The same could be said about Shaquille O'Neal and Stanley Roberts at LSU.
You left off Chris Jackson who played with Shaq. He dropped 40 a few times at LSU.
LSU also had Chris Jackson ( Mahmoud Abdul Rauf ) at that time. Surprising LSU did not win a chip during that time.
Chris Jackson Curry b4 Curry 💯 loved that dude
@@garycollier6950 probably coaching, LSU should have easily won a NCAA title. Coach probably didn't let them play to there strengths
Awesome
Sounds like his dad without the accent lol
'Not in my house' Jr.
May the Lord recompense you , son of Dikembe with all that your achieve for others , go fly higher and higher . My condolences to your family
Cockie Monster Voice is slowly coming out 🤣🤣

Glad he’s going to Georgetown
Kid has poise and a smooth delivery that most 18 year olds just don’t have. Could Broadcasting be in his future, post basketball??
I am a big fan of Mutumbo. He taught his kid well.

Yes indeed. Compared to a dead garden slug.
I know it's just me, but he looks like he has AD's body frame!
