Cant tell you how happy it makes me to have a channel like this. I have been playing slots for 30+ years. It took me about 20 of those years to quit listening to misinformation such as this volume issue. You are diong novice players a great service by posting your videos. Keep it coming.
Love your videos man, thank you for doing this video. So many slot channels say you get an 8% chance of a higher hit with the volume up. So nice to get the real information from someone like yourself that has worked in the industry, Can't wait for the Vegas videos - have fun
I appreciate that!
Marty NJ seriously? You really couldn't tell that these slot channels were being sarcastic when saying that? Wow you are very gullible... I have a couple of bridges for sale I will give you a really good deal
@@stevengallant6363 I suspect it depends who you watch or listen to. I've seen it mentioned when it certainly seemed like sarcasm and others who either believed it or didn't know how to deliver a sarcastic comment.
Thanks a million CS for posting this, and setting the record straight. I just hate hearing from slot youtubers.... that claim you have at least 8% or more chance of a better outcome. All they are doing is giving their viewers and subscribers FALSE HOPE, and that is sad and awful of them to do that! I LOVE your channel CS, and hope you get tons and tons of more subscribers! :-)
Thank you :-) Lots more to come!
THANK YOU Cowboy Slots for disproving this myth! I'm thrilled to have found your slot channel and I look forward to many more of your educational slot videos!
Thanks friend for clearing this up. You're the BEST!
I have *never* seen a .03 machine!!!!! So cool!!!! Thanks for addressing the “volume all the way up” myth!!!! Thanks for keeping it real, and giving excellent advice!!!
Too many other RUclipsrs claim this at just about every video! SMH! 🙄 I never believed it, and always set my volume on the lowest and still winning 😁 Thanks for posting this. Only you and another channel have mentioned this.
Thank you! I always wandered about the volume rumor. Keep the videos coming!
More to come!
While I knew the answer before watching, I appreciate the visual showing why it is False. I have heard others when I have been in Vegas talking about turning up the volume, and as others have mentioned: seen videos on YT where the players say turn it up, I am glad to find out for certain this is false. Some of the machines are LOUD, and it's not enjoyable for me to play when I cannot hear myself think. I thoroughly enjoy your channel, have learned a lot, and look forward to playing the slots when I return to LV in May. Thank YOU!
This is one I always suspected wasn't true, so thank you for confirming!
I believe you about the volume and not about "you know who" who claims (over and over again....) turning volume up improves the odds of winning. Thank you for your correct answer
Love your channel. I only play 1 time a week. Only bring what im willing to lose. I just enjoy your videos. I love, that you dont yammer on and on, just play the game and be informative.
Love the Vlog! Great information!!
Volume doesnt matter like you said. But what does matter is that awesome flag reflecting off your machine. Keep up the great info. Thank you for your know how and wanting to share.
Thanks, I love the volume to be up, too bad it doesn't make a difference on the payout.
Thank you for the great information, it’s great to be in the know, thank you
For class 2, how do the machines calculate payback percentage? I know you talked about a central server. Does that decide, or is it based on each machine? Do your other tips such as machine choice or bet selection still apply? Thank you
I turn it up for enjoyment and to discourage people from sitting next to me that hate loud machines.
Cowboy- the stuff on YT about the sound is because the people recording turn up the sound to hopefully dround out the music because of copyright issues. Thanks for showing us the percentages are the same no matter the sound level. Just in case someone thinks that it makes a difference. By the way I used your technique about playing some of your own money until you start winning, and then use freeplay. It has worked pretty good so far. Thanks!
awesome to hear!
The whole volume thing started with the online RUclips players (NG etc) they want to have the volume up when filming and people started to believe them, I love those guys...but it just so they won't be embarrassed and you can hear them playing.
Thanks for another great video, your the best thing to hit YT in a long time! Hope to see you in Vegas I'm going also, the Cosmo.
You’re wrong! You have no credibility, as you had to take your channel down. NG was your friend, until you used him.
The rumor with regards to the volume affecting % payout was started and perpetuated by The Big Jackpot (Raja), e.g. payout increased by 8.4% if volume is maxed out. NG did not start this rumor. You’re just butt hurt!
@@martylucas8557 Marty, 1st off I don't have a channel nor have I ever.
2nd I don't know NG. I've only said "Hello" to him one time at the Cosmo a year ago. But you made my point. You said Raga started the rumor. I said You tubers "like NG", I only said NG because he is the most popular, as a point of reference. So stop/take a breath and chill. I'm not saying something bad about NG. I think "NG" is great I watch him every morning. Him, Bomba and Mr. Mike the 3 musketeers!
@@MG-sj1em, very coincidental that you have the same channel name as NG’s arch nemesis MG…
The point is this…you shouldn’t fling accusations at someone, just because they’re in the same industry. LOL! That’s just stupid. Only an imbecile would do that, then think it’s okay. In addition you also don’t know what you’re talking about. The volume up hoax had nothing to do with anyone being embarrassed. Embarrassed about what? There is/was no real reason or purpose for it, other than to create a thing.
If anyone needs to chill it’s you…dude.
Love your videos! Subscribed after watching one video!!!!!
Yay! Thank you!
Your videos are excellent, thanks!
Yes, I heard comments about the youtuber channel "The Big Jackpot", and how the guy continues to tell his viewers that you get the 8.2% higher outcome, by having the volume all the way up. And he is not joking... he is being serious. Then he said... after he gets a jackpot on a machine, and the slot tech comes to reset the slot machine... he then shows the volume control on the machine and says something like.... "you see, after they reset the machine, the volume is set back to no sound, and that the casino is doing this on purposely, so the slot machine does not have the 8.2% better outcome." I hate how he continues to preach to his viewers and subscribers this FALSE information about having a better outcome if the volume is turned all the way up! I hate his arrogance too. I wish others here would join in with me, and go to his channel and tell him to stop spreading the false rumors about ... having the volume set at it's highest, for an 8.2% better outcome.
I'm pretty sure he is just taking the piss man. I don't think he really beleives the volume matters, it's just an on going joke.
I've been hearing this a lot lately and found it hard to believe. I'm always extremely skeptical of any claims that player actions, behaviors etc can change a slot machines odds. That being said, I have never had good fortunes playing machines that have low or no volume. My guess on why this is A) I don't typically like to play machines with low or no volume, therefore the chances of me winning are decreased and/or B) machines programed with higher payout percentages are often programed with higher volume (so people hear people winning).
I know a former slot tech that worked at a fairly new casino and he did not have access to view or program payout percentages. All of that "business strategy stuff" was done by other teams remotely. His job was to fix mechanical issues, move and cable machines and that was about it. I would also add, based on what I've read, seen, been told etc, that every aspect of a slot machine, from conception to deployment, is broken out into many different teams so there is really no single person that has access or a complete understanding of all of the programing. So it is possible that more modern machines controlled by centralized servers and other 3rd party software algorithms could differ and that there could be other additional programing known only by very few that still fall in line with regulations but can change potential outcomes. The fact is no one person will ever know exactly how any one machine will behave. If someone did it would quickly be changed and someone would likely be in big trouble. That said I will still turn the volume up as I always have because I like playing loud machines and if that so happens to give me a higher chance of winning, great! Sorry for the book!
I would love you to do a video on how class III bingo cards are mapped to the payouts on the machine
You did a video on the Bingo, or class II machines vs the rng machines. I also know there are machines that are based on historic horse races. Could be an interesting video on how those work or other non-RNG slots.
I figured that the volume wouldnt have any effect on the play results. I don't like quiet machines though..its kinda nice hearing the bells and whistles. There is a machine i like to play that has no volume...the techs came and looked at it...jacked it up and still dead quiet. This makes me believe the volume is a machine setting..not a game setting. Thanks for settling the debate on it:-)
thats how the casinos get us :( haha
If you stand on your left foot, you'll hit it in 9 spins. I saw it on the internet ha ha ha
Love these videos. Well..cuz logic rocks!
😁😂🤣🥰
Great stuff! Any content on video poker?
Thank you because when I watch videos of people setting at a machine they said you had an 8% chance of winning when the volume is turned all the way up. Now I know it is not true!
Do more videos on tribal games please!!
That’s Awesome to Know 👊🏼👏🏼👊🏼
good to know !! i always wondered
Great stuff
I thought that was just some on going joke when the Big Jackpot does the max volume thing. Didn't realise people thought he was serious
Love your channel and knowledge. Is there anyway to find out the payout percentage like you were able to for the player?
Thank you! As for finding out the payout percentage, most casinos will not provide that information to players however you are always welcome to contact the gaming commission for your area and request the information.
I love this and you actually proving that volume has no influence on our chances to win. The Big Jackpot guy continues to say and do it. 🙄
It was started as a joke for sure, and those guys are great and I love watching their channels! Problem is a lot of people ran with it as fact lol
I would love a chance to see the actual code written for these machines. For instance, is it written in C or Java? How does the machine decide where to stop the reels when there are many ways to deliver the same payout?
Don’t know what it’s coded in. But I do know it runs in Linux operating system.
HEY BROTHER GREAT CONTENT! IF YOU KNOW ABOUT IT YOU SHOULD DO A VIDEO ON THE SHUFFLE MACHINE FOR THE TABLES 👍👍
I will def have to do a video on that! The Shuffle Masters are interesting pieces of machinery for sure
Great vids. Thanks. Seen the guy on the tube claiming that. Not sure why he does it but believe or not people listen to him. I cant stand all that racket so the first thing I do is turn the volume down. So, my last trip thru NM my favorite stop along 40. It's late and maybe 10 customers. I had a guy come up and try to share that myth with me. I happen to own a half dozen late model or current slots. I told him it was a ridiculous rumor and he got pissed.
Here's the truth= it is not possible if you are playing in a legit casino. The very simple answer is you would be changing the outcome of the game simply by a series of button pressing. Some of us remember the slot tech years ago that added the royal "feature" to some of the games at the house he worked for. Same problem. The is NO way a casino would risk their already huge profits to allow a rigged game nowadays. Now back in the 60's and seventy's, Different story. I bought a mechanical slot from that era and it still had the "bug" on one of the reels. It was never gonna hit the jackpot.
Sorry I rambled on but don't blame the house when they clearly explained that they are keeping at least 10% of the money you spend :}
How much of a stretch is it to go from a game tech (big corp think B&D) to a slot tech?
You should do a video about hitting the screen to stop the reels lol. I play the old WMS slots and they are in bad shape because people beat them with both hands trying to make the wilds stop. Then they argue with me that I’m dumb for not punching the screen 🤣
Thanks for clearing that up
Any time!
I have only Ever turned the volume up for my personal enjoyment and always will because I love to hear it. But happy you are melting some of the BS. The small casino my son worked in, they had people who truly believed someone would flip a switch determining which machine would get it! They also believed the casino would "hold" a pot until a certain holiday, promotion, etc.. Nonsense. They would be shut down. 👍☠💀☠
I'm a semi believer in this. Luck coincidence who knows. I'm one of those people who volume max and I let the wins play out before hitting button. There were times it really seemed to help. Ok you just popped my bubble .
What ever the percentage the slot will pay has been programed in the machine. Nothing affects that at all. No matter if you use a players card (recommended), bet large or small, volume up or down or what button or handle you use to put the play in motion. Time of day doesn't matter also. IT'S ALL A GAMBLE! Good luck!
@@jaydee6361 -That's a fact! Even a rabbits foot doesn't affect the random generator. Luck of the timing when you smack that button or pull that handle.
@@jaydee6361 -Hey, what ever gives you a good feeling if you don't mind carrying them around, do what makes you feel lucky. Luck is the name of the game.
@@jaydee6361 -That's the smart way to it! Good luck in all your endeavors.
Thank you for your honesty. The Big Jackpot is all about Big subscribers for money. Just another LIAR!
Do you have a video talking about machine payouts and their visibility on the casino floor. Is it legally allowable for a casino to set certain machines to a higher payout based on their location.
Is it better to play a single line slot versus a multi-line slot ? Which odds are better ?
Cowboy
Have you done a video on “freeplay” vs cash??
Love your videos my friend keep up the great work.
I have yes. This was mentioned in my Tips video
Thanks for the reply I’ll check it out
Enjoy your channel. I have learned so much.
I think , and this is just a guess that by playing the slot machine at max volume that the vibration from the audio may somehow (and I stress 'somehow') affect the outcome of the game, sort of a glitch? Kinda like in the old days when portable CD players first came out move to quickly and you make the CD skip.
That's my take on this rumored max volume.
Keep up the awesome videos!
Raj from the bigjackpot started this meme lol.
It was started as a joke for sure, and those guys are great and I love watching their channels! Problem is a lot of people ran with it as fact lol
Can do a video on how casinos say the machine malfunctions on huge jackpots and not pay out?
REAL QUICK.. so denominations are different programs but are different credits programmed differently as well?
Ok then thank you sir appreciate the insight cha Ching
Can't wait for Vegas thanks
Thank you for your Videos. I have a question, is it normally the higher the Domination the higher % Payout?
From what I’ve seen and understand, absolutely. If you’re betting $2.50 on a penny slot vs a $2.50 on a 5 cent slot you’ll get a higher payout. Of course still possible to hit big on a lower denom. I’ve seen a lot that hit more on lower denom but lower amounts but are more stingy on a higher denom, but I’m not a pro. Just what I’ve seen based on his videos and others 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I always had a feeling that volume on a slot machine didn't matter. I'm guessing that rumour came out so that when someone does win a jackpot more players will hear all the "bells & whistles" and perhaps, psychologically, makes the patrons keep playing anticipating a big win also ☺☺☺
Thanks for confirming. Could you also please confirm that tapping does not work as well when people get a feature... Really annoying
lol yea that does nothing, but if it makes people feel good then that ok too.
Another myth buster❤
It drives me crazy when people come to play next to me and crank up the volume! Its already loud in casinos.
Thank You Cowboy!!! :)
"Myyyy hero."
Love it loud more fun!
I heard that if you press the spin button with your left hand and hold your right hand behind your back while spinning yourself around, you have a better chance of hitting the jackpot.
Can you confirm this in video format? Thanks!
lol never heard that one before! But some people do swear by some pretty odd superstitions!
The volume rumors are probably started by manufacturers so that their machines get more attention :) Only the newer machines allow you to set the volume. If I'm winning I'll turn it up losing I set it lowest lol
Have you noticed that casinos put higher percentage payout machines near certain areas. For instance I would always hit hand pays by the restaurant in my local casino and I always thought they did that to get people excited to go back out and gamble.
He did a video about this previously....take a peek.
Can you get the word out "During Dragon Link hold & spin, hitting the spin button repeatedly and loudly doesn't make the fireballs fill the screen any more than hitting it once after each spin."
This.... This right here.... Def do a button slapper video pleaseeeee. lol
Actually, you could do us all a solid, and say button slapping results in lower prizes? 😅
Take that The Big Jackpot/Raja Slots! Can't stand when people claim dumb stuff like "adds an extra 8% payback".
I hate his character and his arrogance. I wonder how much he pays his young girlfriend to be with him??? I think its pretty obvious she is only with him for the money.
RUclipsrs turn up the sound to drowned out the background music so that they will not have a copyright issue that’s where the rumor came from.
There is a certain streamer on this platform who mentions "volume up for 28% better chance" or some nonsense on nearly every stream. It's sad someone can be successful at something and be so ignorant on the same topic. Thanks for the videos, keep the information coming!
I honestly believe it was started as a joke and then what happened was people ran with it.
screw that, NAME that channel and expose them. Email me directly if you dont want to say it here IF it wasnt a joke
@@NJslotguy The Big Jackpot is your guy.
Depending on the arcade / casino, sometimes machines with high volume are set to a higher percentage. Volume doesn’t directly effect it tho of course.
I’ve also seen some arcades that set the percentage higher on machines near the door and the reception, this is in the uk
Great video btw, are the percentage changeable by the operator on these machines? Very rare to see these type of machines in the uk so I’m sure there different from ours
Hi there! New sub here!
Lol, i finally know the truth now! ♥️ Awsome
My favorite is they usually say it gives you an 8% increase payout or 8% increase chance to win a jackpot. These clowns dont realize 8% is a crazy high number and would nearly always put machines over 100% payout. Most people don’t realize there is no real meaning of jackpot in gaming. They confuse handpay with jackpot.
Do you have any information about Deuces machines
To challenge a slot machine is all about how much cash you have
Are video keno games worth playing?
Thanks for sharing this
My pleasure
Tell that to raja funny cause the commercial before this was him advertising some app slot game
Clearly, as demonstrated here, the volume does not effect payout... BUT what about Casino policy? Isn't possible that the Casino would choose to set volumes on some machines differently than others? If so, I would think they would actually lower the volume on machines that they set with a high payout and louder volume on machines with worse payout, to try to entice you to play the lower payout machines. Maybe Casinos don't set their policies this way, but it would be consistent with putting the higher minimum slots machines in unwelcoming "VIP" areas.
New here, so I apologize if this was addressed. I keep hearing that the spins are completely random. Yet, there is a payout percentage set. If it was completely random, wouldn't the payout percentage fluctuate? How is the percentage calculated? Is it since day 1, last 100 spins, last 10 spins?
I just keep thinking that there is an order the reels spin in, instead of being completely random. In other words, if the sequence is determined, it can be predicted what spin results are coming up. Or, if the calculated percentage is down to say 30%, it will hit soon to get it back to that 98% setting. I'm betting there is no way to see that from a player's perspective, but nice to know if that is the case.
It's the law of large numbers. Think of the slot machine like a wheel, that costs a $1 to spin, but the average value of the wedges is like .90 cents (let's say it has 10 sections and it has 4 that pays back $2 (winner), 1 section that pays back a $1 (money back), and last 5 sections pay zero). The average value for that wheel would equal .90 cents. Over a short run of spins, maybe a few hundred or a few thousand spins, you could actually be winning on this game, but over a million spins, the machine will payout approximately .90 cents. That's how every slot machine works, except on a way larger and more complicated scale.
So is it ok to slap the person next to me who’s making me deaf from their machine? LOL
Thanks for confirming 👍 What about letting a machine "celebrate" a win vs. "Stopping and continuing" to play?
Either or, no difference in game play its all player preference. Me personally when I play, I always stop the win counting up or the "celebration".
@@CowboySlots I personally always let it celebrate as long as it wants. I cherish it since it rarely happens plus it stops me from losing for that period of time.
I always think of it as advertising. People get excited when other people win.
@@CowboySlots denominations are different programs but are different credits also programmed differently?
@@larryballsack259 He's said in other videos that milliseconds make a difference because the machine is constantly using its number generator. Based on that alone it's a valid question.
I don’t know 🤷♂️
How about when you have to flip over the 3 matches for your jackpot? I swear it almost seems rigged how often you will pick minor I be thinking what are the chances especially if I hit the same bonus multiple times and i get a few flips of a major and grand but low and behold without fail you magically seem to hit minor. If there are 1 of each a minor, major and grand why do it seem like 99% of the time I'm getting a minor hit
Didn't need to watch the video to know the answer but did anyway. NO, it doesn't. BUT if the volume is up it makes your experience better. :)
My Ears Thank You !
( Raja owes me a Hearing Aid )
Any tips on playing at tribal casinos? Winstar in particular. Would you play at tribal casinos??
Check on the video library there is a whole segment on bingo slots and tribal
I heard that. Tried it. I think I lost more.
It would have been good to see if the winning percentage changes when you change denominations !
It doesn’t
*Really? I thought you said 8.5% higher for loudest volume? I appreciate your videos*
I heard adjusting the game speed helps you win! Bahahaha
Get us a video about denominations. Should we or not
I like the volume up so I can try to figure out a timing pattern with the RNG. It could just be in my head, but I knew if a machine was going to give me a bonus or not based on what happened when I pressed the bet button during a specific tone on a game. The game is that bubble Mermaid treasure chest one. (Note: it seemed to get a little louder too, when it's going to give a bubble bonus.) I'm an algorithm kind of guy and mostly play poker (I only play slots to kill break times). Anyways I made a 3 test rule; if I didn't get some kind of win while hitting the button during that sound, then I knew it wasn't going to happen this time-next machine. I used to clean house on these at the Nugget. Maybe I'm crazy, but it worked at two different locations. We're talking $200 - $300 wins at a time. (I would start at $2 bets)
Ok, now I sound crazy even to me. Long story short, I had to move to San Diego for the Navy, so I can't test this. Maybe someone else has a similar story 🤔.
I am an algorithm type of girl. Just a natural sense I have...I use something similar except I know the combinations on some game and if certain symbols fall in certain ways I can tell if the game is going to hit. There is one game I can tell when it is going to bonus by the sound though. I thought I was trippin
There are many casinos near San Diego. Cool test concept especially if it works .
If given the opportunity to own one, would you purchase a wheel of fortune machine? They cost upwards of $10k
You cant own one u lease em
Can u ask a slot attendant to show u the percentage of the machine or any machine???
Turn the volume up and the brightness up always why? Because when you pull that slot, you are buying something. If I'm gonna buy something, I want to buy everything that my money is worth.
Pretty sure this rumor is about when the PLAYER adjusts the volume on the machine when playing, not the internal volume settings that can’t be accessed by the player. Still a ridiculous thing to say.
I really don’t like the machine to be loud? When you hit a jackpot on it, you won’t have to worry about people running up to the machine asking you how much you win! It irritates me! I had my machine turned down and I hit for 1k on it and no one ran up to me to see how much I hit for
lol good one
