The thing about HF is...the bass...isn't just a bass...he's actually a tenor and everything in between. Chance who didn't get a solo in this one in the back with the beard, also has an amazing bass to tenor range. Austin and Rob in front on this one are their tenors, and then there is all the musical instruments in one person, beatboxer Adam Rupp. If you really want to hear all of their voices showcased, their collaboration at the request of legend Don McLean of a 50th anniversary recording of American Pie, each of the 4 who usually take lead each sang a verse, with Don on the chorus, and Adam beatboxing thru the almost 9 minutes of song. When Don got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he invited the Home Free guys to join him and they performed because, they don't need no stinking instruments to perform!
You're not wrong. Tim's voice is a gorgeous sound. All the members of Home Free are amazingly talented and should never be underestimated. Having said that... I'll always end up hyping up Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, who sounds like he's got most of an orchestra stuck in his throat, and a marching band to boot.
These guys are so talented. I suggest The Driver, Helplessly Hoping or I Can't Outrun You for your next trip down this fabulous rabbit hole. But no matter what you choose, you will not be disappointed.
This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style.
This is such a great arrangement by HF. Other great arrangements not to be missed include "Brothers in Arms" and "Do You Hear What I Hear". ;) Tim Foust's bass delivery is indeed crazy impressive. Even moreso when you know he can also sing tenor more convincingly than most!!
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free reactions. They do so many different types of music and they all have an amazing range. They will make you dance, cry or fall out of your chair laughing. Between their music videos they have "From the Vault "( behind the scenes), Home Away from Home videos, ( all great to get to know their personalities and sense of humor))audience videos, you'll never run out of things to react to!

I suggest “Folsom Prison Blues”. Very bassy. All the same guys, though a few years later. Equally entertaining. Even though it was recorded and filmed from their individual homes during lockdown.
This song is actually quite old. 1st written down on paper in 1913. Tim is the best bass in the business....no doubts on that one. Try one of their originals....a recent one is So Long Dixie, the lyrics are amazing and it was co-written by Tim Foust your bass on this one. A great recommendation is their cover of Trace Adkins "I can't outrun you" the harmonies are incredible and the videography is outstanding. It was directed by the lead singer, Home Free's baritone/bass Adam Chance....if you want some outstanding country harmonies, that's your song
The Stanley Brothers did a cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow" back in the '50s. It has a real "old timey" sound. There are covers by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and who knows how many others.

Tim Foust sings it with Home Free, while Geoff Castellucci sings it solo, even though he also has a group, VoicePlay.
I will add to a lot of the sentiment done here. Some of Home Free's other works are just as good. If you end up liking this, I would also recommend Voiceplay. The song did not come from a movie. it is an old 1913 song. Home Free is oozing with authenticity and talent. Voiceplay is when you want to hang with the musical theater kids. Ptx was the first acapella to burst on the scene and I was as wowed as the rest. Now, I ignore them completely and even block their videos from being on my feeds. They are talented but corporate feeling. Like a box tick of what to push forward and no organic feel at all.

I’ll have to check out Voiceplay while enjoying more Home Free, I’ve seen a few people mention it. Thank you!
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free. 😊😊
Happy to be here!
