The two things that have amazed most fans and reactors are 1) they are singing it in the same key as the original female artist, Cam, and 2) they switched places, especially Tim on tenor and Chance holding down the bass. I believe that their wide individual diversity is one of the things that has contributed to their success -- separately amazing, together incredible, in any combination!
A song with surprises. Tim who goes tenor, Austin and Rob who also hit different notes than usual, the inhuman vocal percussion from Adam and as a great end to the surprises the incredible bass of Chance. Simply fabulous
Chance is a gem!! He covers the bass parts perfectly 😊 My fave song with Chance singing lead is 'Cover Me Up' please watch to the very end!! Great reaction ❤
I never paid much attention to the original when it first came out but this is actually one of my favorite Home Free songs. The " From the Vault " behind the scenes of the making of this music video is fun to watch if you might like to react to it. It is interesting and gives an example of their personalities and sense of humor. Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
This is the song, we used to tell people to wait to react too. Because it was the first time a lot of us heard Tim go high. Now he has a lot of his doo wop stuff is higher.
@@miamidolphinsfan Chance (away from the band, performing with others, its still Adam Chance. He was the bass singer for his previous group Street Corner Symphony.
Good reaction! As noted already this was done in the original key, and the reason most Home Fries suggest waiting on this one for new-er HF reactors is we want you to get to know each of them in their "usual" roles, then when you hear Tim in the high tenor range and Chance taking care of the low bass the surprise and awe turns into appreciation for what these #HomeFree boys can do! Suggestion, create a Home Free (or a cappella) playlist so we can find your reactions easier, which will help us make other recommendations.
This is absolutely amazing! When I first heard this, I was shocked pleasantly about Tim and Chance reversing roles. Love these guys! Love your reaction!
This song is one of my favorites. We usually ask reactors to wait to react to this song till they are familiar with the individual members. Then they are surprised at hearing the switch ups in the voices. Tim who is known for his bass can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original range.
They did a cover of Crazy ( Patsy Cline ) you might like and a Chance lead song Can’t Outrun You you might like too😊 I was wondering if you would be able to please make a playlist for Home Free so we can look and make requests a little bit easier.
I didn’t know Cam’s version but I love HF’s version. It’s the ole switcheroo with Tim going high (which he can easily do with his 5 octave range) and letting Chance do the bass (which he can do also since he was a bass with his first group). Chance just can’t go as low as Tim but pretty close to it. So we like reactors to wait to know Tim’s range because some reactors just react to it and think Tim is a tenor and we have to say no, Tim is the bass! Lot’s of fun. It’s a great song and the boys killed it. 🤩😃
Nice reaction. You should check out Adam Chance's channel and react to his cover of Wayfaring Stranger (John Cash) song. He calibrated with Hound and the Fox.. Great song
Ahhhh. You like that building? Want to see more of it? Well, there's another camera behind, and sometimes above Jimmy, their cameraman, just like every other video they've done and they try to release one on the first Monday of each month; there are 23 episodes since July 2020 and they're all enjoyable. The 2nd lady in the video is Sami, then Chance's girlfriend. I'm so fangirl proud if having met her at a show and congratulating her on their wedding. She's a real sweetheart.
Cam - Mayday. Here's the original by Cam. Home Frees version is of course all acapella so it may sound a bit different. Great reaction. Have a great day.
Thanks for this one! I've heard the original once...and I have to say...this is so much better than the original! I have to tell you that Austin would absolutely love that wall behind you...the Bulldogs are his team too!
What's going to make you go back and listen to this all over again is that Chance is doing all of the bass even the foot stomps, and there are no clapping or finger snapping. It's all Adam Rupp.
Along with their always terrific singing, harmonies & beatboxing this video is full of surprises. For even more surprises watch their videos "Mayday Live", "9-5 beatboxing breakdown" and a much older one "Joy to the World Hosannah". BTW, they each have channel(s) of their own!
I don't believe it was "them" opening up and being vulnerable .......... I believe they done it for us -- A reveal if you will!!! I have no doubt they are very confident in their abilities ... When we got it originally --- we only had audio which caused a lot of confusion and question. Honestly, things they'd been doing all along --- but "sustained" in those roles (ie Tim high and Chance low). When we got the video evidence, the reveal --- it showed what was going on. Many times, if not paying attention with their LIVE ... you'll miss what is actually going on! LIVE reveals a lot (ex Man of Constant Sorrow). Be Safe
Funny how reactors tend to stop songs in the most inopportune times! Some actually turn back a few seconds so as not to break up the song. Chance had a very limited solo and you stopped it right in the middle so it lost impact. I know it is a reaction, but could you please roll it back a bit for continuity sake?
@@gawgia3 I was not meaning to be mean and I almost did not comment. I apologize if you took this as criticism, just maybe some grandmotherly advice. We are neighbors by the way, I live in NW Florida.

Home Free covers are usually upgrades. Their version of Take Me Home Country Roads is a masterpiece. Thanks for reacting to them.
Thank you for supporting me!
My favorite!

We still do ask to wait
and Chance so low
I get that, a lot of comments have mentioned waiting a bit on this one, I still very much enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

One of the best arrangements where they play off each other is their mashup of Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks. It's also a great video.

Home Free did a cover of 'The Gambler' it was one of the videos, and I think that it's pretty good.

well wayfaring is a pretty old song....I like Bob Dylan's late 60's version too, also Emmylou Harris did a great version in the late 70's
Thank you! And will do!

Great reaction. Home Free never disappoints. It was great to see Tim sing in his tenor voice and Chance holding down the bass. This was awesome.❤❤
Thank you!♥️
Ya know, it would have taken less than 5 minutes to go and listen to the original version by Cam.
Great cover! Love Home Free.
Thank you!
