  • Be sure to give the outfielder a clear lane to the bag and you're set up to where you can easily catch and go down with the tag. Where the ball is will determine how you position yourself near the bag.
    SS covers with balls hit to the right side. 2nd base will cover with balls hit to the left side. If it's hit to center, it's usually the SS who covers but it's okay if it's the 2nd baseman. It really just depends on which side of the center fielder the ball is going to land. Just make sure middles are communicating on who is going to take the bag.

      You would think. Baseball and softball are basically the same

      Yes! It just depends on where the ball is coming from! Give the outfielder a clear lane.

    I do not like the dont straddle technique, bringing the glove across your body takes way to much time to put the rag on
