The fact that you include dial diameter measurement is so good. No one else does this and it makes such a huge difference in wearing experience. Keep it up.
Hey I own both of these awesome timepieces.. just that my BB 58 is navy and SBGN 003 (black dial and orange GMT hand). Both of these watches are simply one of the best Dive and GMT watches upto $ 10k retail price range (including many rolexes which compete with them). Both are extremely versatile timepieces and both can be dressed up (SBGN 003 a bit more dressy) and dressed down (BB 58 navy a bit more toolish/ casual). Both of them are dream to wear on wrists ranging from 5.5 to 7 inches. Movements on SBGN 003 and BB58 are “the most accurate and robust” quartz and mechanical movements respectively. Both hug your wrists like a band and both have amazing steel bracelets. Pro tip: buy BB 58 with the bracelet and there are half links in sbgn for great sizing ! You can’t go wrong with either, if possible buy both for a lifetime 2 watch collection! Great heirloom watches!
Broth are great pieces. The only other thing that might be worth taking into account is the running costs. The BB will need proper servicing whilst the GS will only need a battery change, gasket and pressure test which through a Grand Seiko Boutique isn’t that expensive.
Thank you! I find it amazing how you seem to read my mind everytime.. I have been looking into this GS for a while and then you compare it to a favourite: BB58. 🔥🔥🔥
The Grand Seiko does look bigger because of the smaller bezel and larger dial. They both look great though! I like the way the Tudor looks more but if the Grand Seiko was the black dial model, I feel like it could pull off a dressy look with a suit. The finishing is that striking and elegant vs the tool vintage vibe of the Tudor. Great watches either way.
WOW, these are two watches on my list but unfortunately do not have enough money to buy both. Still have a problem which one should be purchased first. Probably finding good deal will help me with decision. Thanks for a video
There is another GS in this range. It's a limited edition and a bit more elegant I'd say, and is also better suited for straps (20mm) . Probably hard to find and it's the SBGN007.
After watching your review, you’ve made me change my mind… I’m gonna take myself off the Rolex waiting list at the AD and buy these two. Beautiful watches & review! THANK YOU sir 👊🥃
Hi there... actually was interested in the weight difference. I tried on the GS and I wasn't as wow'd in person as I expected... it could be for the flatter quartz case. And I have nothing against the quartz - really at the price and convenience was seeking a quartz. But trying to see why I didn't enjoy this so much in person. The 19mm probably didn't help. I'm looking also at Christopher Ward in the same size and price - but automatic. That CW watch is also very slim, especially considering it's automatic. ... and gotta assume that will also weigh more than the GS. Great video. Thx

Hope to get my Black Bay 58 soon. But hot damn that Grand Seiko is stunning

Appreciate the measurements, most reviewers do not measure in such detail.

Great review! I think more people than you think would cross shop these, due to the similar price points. How does the fit & finish compare?
I felt the GS was slightly more comfortable on my wrist, but I think that will vary for each individual.
Yep, if you appreciate great sportwatches at reasonable prices, you definitely cross-shop these two! Fun vid.

Thanks for viewing, you certainly can't go wrong with those!
The magic is you can buy both of these excellent watches and still have spare change to pop back into the savings!
