That's the only people I'd suggest it for, learning to properly use a knife to dice and mince gives far better, consistent results. Though a small food processor is better. It's also a huge pain to clean, at least the version we had, which opened on hinges to reveal the blade.
That wouldn't be useful for disabled people. It requires more strength and almost as much dexterity as using a knife. One could argue it's a gimmick that isn't really that useful to anyone period. If you really don't want to use a knife just get a food processor, they're not even expensive.
@@BriBCG it depends on the disability, since you pretty much only need one hand with a little grip and part of the other arm to use a slap chop type device. There's a lot of different levels of disability, so niche products (which often end up marketed on infomercials too) might be perfect for one disability level, and pointless or impossible to use for another. But yeah, a small food processor is pretty much superior in every way to a slap chop.

We used to have one of those rotating choppers- it actually worked pretty well. To get it to work well you had to chop things up a bit so it would fit.
I had one of those choppers years ago and it was meant to be used with the base cover on. That keeps all the veg or whatever under the blade. The problem I had was the blade being hard to keep aligned with its upper cover.
@@Therealgangsterfr-neverseder13 good question. A sine wave is a geometric waveform that oscillates periodically , and is defined by the function y=sinx. In electricity, a sine wave is the representation of AC current.
I think not being able to use the grater with the slider was an oversight in design, but absolutely love the idea of using the slider with the cutter. Might be a good design idea for a larger size mandolin.
I've got a different brand of food chopper but it's exactly like the one you tested. It's called the Slap Chop and is super! I've had mine for years and it's really held up! I find it extremely handy for chopping various fruits, vegetables, nuts, and herbs. I highly recommend a chopper similar to what you've got or the Slap Chop. It looks a bit sturdier than the one you've tested. 🙂 And I wouldn't waste my time with that ridiculous sweet corn stripper! It's an accident waiting to happen! LOL
The Corn Drill is used to thresh corn that is still raw (dry), not corn that has been boiled (soft). So when you try it with boiled Sweet Corn, the result is that the corn kernels are destroyed, because it is not intended for it.
About the last grater/slicer gadget: I think it deserved a higher grade because you CAN use the slider with the grater. You just take the blade off and flip it.
2:22 I think it might be spinning too fast? It seems like it’s meant to push the corn kernels out of the skin stuck to the cob, and since it’s spinning so quickly it’s pulverizing the corn in the process
Yeah.... I got a grater like the green item in the video. It barely works, and i most often remove the slider and grate garlic normally. The slider tends to just tear the clove to ragged pieces around the middle of a clove
I don’t know if anyone has said this but with the corn drill, it’s possible you’re drill is spinning way too fast meaning there’s way too much energy hitting the kernels There’s nothing really I’m using to back this up, just my thoughts
as a kind we used to have something like that machine number two, the chopper. but this one looks like it's little brother, the main differences are that the one we had was like 4-5 times the size and the blades were actually sharp.
Maybe the drill speed was just too high? A slower speed might push them off rather than blend them, though might take some trial and error to find a good speed.

The first gadget was making the corn mushy mainly (and it is a possibility) that either the bolts weren’t screwed all the way down or something else.
Nah, it’s made for dry corn, not sweet corn.
