I ised your driver side video and was able to do it myself. It was very helpful. I now have to do ri ght front. Both went bad. Saved 1,000.00 doing it myself. Hyundai wanted 169.00 for labor, 375.00 for a 70.00 part plus tax times 2. I had both front doors go.
damn - I wanted to also try to do this on my Hyundai. They charged $375 for the part? I found it on Amazon for $40!! I was hoping to try to learn to do it myself. I am not very handy but it's a low stakes thing to try and fix myself.
I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and on July 28th, 2024 my passenger front window is broken. I opened it up 4 to 5 inches, but then It would not roll back up. There was some noise when it happened. The noise was like broken parts that broke off and dropped to the inside. I'm trying to repair it myself, but I don't have your expertise. I'm in California. I also don't have a torque T-30 to remove some of the locking mechanisms on the door jamb... Damn, this looks do-able, but I'm having problems... Thanks for the video....
I have a 2014. It looks exactly the same. Anyway I really need to get my wifes window up. I tried to take the motor off and pull it up but it only goes up a lil and stops
good video. I'm not sure if my hyundai touring 2010 has the same problem. this morning trying to open the driver side window then I heard something break and the window stopped moving but I still can hear the window motor sound fine working but window no moving.
My passenger and both back windows. In my elantra '10 stopped going back up. I changed fuses wasnt that. The omni driver and each doors switch worked to make it go down but none could make em go back up. The drivers window itself works. Please help :(
One of the best repair videos I've seen. You truly have the heart of teacher...

DO a search for power window repair and the city you are in, OR drive on down to Florida. You'll be happier here
@PowerUpAuto Move to Florida...??
Are you crazy..? You guys get hurricanes on a regular basis that will flood your houses.
I know this was posted awhile back, but anyone know how tight the window mount bolts should be?
Will any other models have the same regulator
No, and the Elantra touring is different from the Elantra Sedan

You can cut any of the metal (not electrical) Cables

Sounds like a wiring problem. You might need to take it in to Hyundai.
@@PowerUpAuto if you had to spitball a price what would you guess. Cause I am gonna have to save haha.
@@AsherRex no idea. But an estimate from the dealer should only cost about $70
How much do you charge for the repair?
Do you have to buy the whole unit or can you just replace the motor alone?
You need the REGULATOR, NOT the motor.
Thanks my son is working on my 2009 he was like what's with this car lol.
Open the schefenackeer
yeah, and no job. we need 500 thousand dollars to move there. Maybe more.
That is the going rate for a decent house.
