I read a theory somewhere that Fred and George discovered the Mirror Of Erised in their 1st year, but when they look into it, all they see was the two of them, side by side, just like in real life, so the thought it was just a normal mirror and leave the room. Years later, when George look into the mirror again, he saw both of them, standing side by side, and he finally understand what the mirror is.
In my opinion I think Luna would see her mother, as well as friends. It’s clear in the books Luna desires friendship, and is surprised when people call her their friend.
I would argue that Bellatrix is slightly more loyal to Voldemort than even B. C. Jr. They're both terrible people who are obsessed with Voldemort, but for me it comes down to B. C. Jr denying his involvement with the death eaters during his trial, while Bellatrix never tried to hide her devotion
I think Crouch was just smarter, smart enough to at least try the sympathy card, he was caught red handed and his own father was going to sentance him, ironically in the end it worked and he did get out.
@@melkhiordarkfell4354 that's a fair point as well. My only counter would be that I don't think the Lestranges would ever consider renouncing Voldemort. That's how strong their loyalty was. On the other hand, Crouch probably wanted to stay out of Azkaban to find Voldemort in secret
Dumbledore says that the happiest man in the world would look into the mirror and see himself exactly as he is, and I feel like Dobby is the closest character to that, because he has everything he wants up until he dies. He is a free elf, who gets to wear clothes and work for Dumbledore. He is loved by Harry, and is able to dedicate his life to helping Harry.
I think what Draco would actually see is his whole family without the dark mark, embracing each other. What he really wants are loving parents that don’t care about status and power, only about their family
I disagree, his fame was everything to him. Hence why he bragged about it all the time and he already had a loving mother who lied to the dark lord for him
@@KnightEdits12234 No he always wanted his father to be proud for who he was. He was being a jerk in school just because he was raised that way. He didn't want to see any other student looking greater than him so his father would think he's not worthy enough
5:58 I’m sure Sirius and his friends discovered Erised in their era too. Sirius would’ve seen himself with his family, but his parents loved him, Regulus didn’t resent him or be jealous, and Andromeda was still in the family. He would’ve seen a happy family.
In my head Sirus sees himself becoming the secret keeper instead of suggesting Wormtail. He didnt know it back then but this is ultimately what led to the betrayal and the Potters death so i think this would be his deepest regret that he'd want to take back
@@eeurr1306 but wouldn't James being alive be symbolic of Sirius not changing the secret keeper. Sirius wanted James' company with Remus as well more than anything. He would have seen that and it would have also meant he didn't change the secret keeper
I also think Cedric saw Harry as more of a partner than an opponent, after Harry told him about the first task being dragons. By that point, he probably realized that Harry didn't really want to compete, so Cedric's desire seems more so Harry wouldn't have to endure all the grief he got from his name coming out of the goblet.
i disagree cedric is a fair guy he wanted a rematch in prisoner of azkaban when harry fell off his broom, gave harry a hint of second clue bcz harry had warned him about dragons, he offered harry the cup not bcz he saw him as a partner bcz harry had saved him twice during the maze and he knew harry would have been on first place in 2nd task if harry had not taken the riddle too seriously. this all shows that cedric is not completely selfless but always want to repay those whom he owe and wants to win fair and square for his house
I'd say financially well off, but Ginny, having married Harry, who'd inherited a small fortune of Wizard Currency from his parents - Added to after Sirius' death, and the Triwizard winnings; Had he not given Fred & George to fund Weasley's Wizard Wheezes - that desire of Ron's was fulfilled
Petunia was bitter about magic because not only was cut from it (since she's not a witch) but also because they took her sister. If i have to guess then she would've seen herself in the mirror as a witch with parents proud of her and discovering the wizarding world with her sister Lily.
I don't think moody will see himself all beautiful. I can't imagine moody wanting is so badly. I feel like he will see all dark wizard dead at his feet.
Rowling confirmed once in an interview that Hermione would see the Golden Trio safe and Lord Voldemort’s defeated. She also mentioned that Hermione would probably see herself “entwined” with Ron in a close embrace.
Kind of depends what time of their life was. If Harry looked in the mirror in Deathly Hallows, he would see Voldemort defeated and his friends and family all alive and well. And after, he would go back to seeing his family, but along with Ginny and their children all happy
The way you transitioned between characters always felt like there was a natural connection, and the way you bridged all the ideas together for each character was really nice. It's nice to see your experience from the books v movies series led to a a lot of really small details fitting together for some great theory, thanks for what you do
Conparing Bellatrix to Barty Jr, although they’re both psychopaths, I think Barty Jr is more intelligent and can think clearer as he was able to live in Hogwarts for a whole year in disguise and acting friendly amongst enemies, being friendly with Harry and helping him, of course he had an evil plan, but I think Bellatrix was a crazy unbridled lady, she wouldn’t have managed to stay in character undercover for a whole year, especially around Dumbledore, she wouldn’t be able to get her shit together hahaha
How much of that was due to Azkaban do you think? Either she was crazy from birth or the prison severely messed her up. Couldn't say it was her upbringing as Narcissa turned out quite normal (abiet still very hateful against muggleborns).
Ever thought of doing Harry Potter What If videos, Morgan? What if Voldemort went after Neville instead of Harry, What if Hagrid wasn’t expelled, What If Snape was Harry’s Father, so on and so forth. Not exactly an original idea, but could be fun.
@@pranavp7502 I also grow up watching the movies before reading the books, and I still realize the movies are garbage hahahah 😅 But some parts are cool, I will give them that. And most of the cast will forever be how I see the characters
In my head, Harry's mirror-vision would change once he got married and had kids. I think he would see his immideate family (including Teddy) with Teddy's parents stading behind his godson, James and Lily behind himself, and Sirius next to James (I feel that he would've liked to see James and Sirius interact). The Weasleys (including Fred) might've been there too. When he was younger, he wasn't sure what family looked like, so he went with only biological, but as he got older, and created a new, mismatched family, he would've seen that one whole and complete.
For hadgrid I think he would see himself not getting expelled and becoming a great wizard who stood bye a alive Dumbledore and helped protect and teach at Hogwarts
I really didn't think Cedric Diggory disliked Harry, although he did want to shed some glory on Hufflepuff. Personally, I think that Cedric would just want to get married to Cho Chang, then live a happy life with her.
I think that Hellena would actually see herself having a better relationship with her mother and therefore never stole the diadem, running away, or being murdered. I think never telling Tom where to find it is only surface level.
i do also think Petunia may have seen herself reconciled with lily in the mirror, as an adult after lily's death "You didn't just lose a mother that night in Godric's Hollow, you know. I lost a sister" i think deep down she felt incredibly guilty about what happened with her relationship with lily, how her jealousy ruined their relationship and regretted not reconciling before lily died Which is also why she continued to protect harry after vernon wanted to throw him out, she knew how important it was to keep him safe, for both harry and for lily's memory
Petunia Dursley was actually a very understanding person, not a very good person most of the time, but understanding. She really knew her son, as shown in chapter 3 of The Deathly Hallows, when Dudley said “I don’t think you’re a waste of space.” And she burst into tears and praised him for basically saying “Thank you.”
One day while cleaning up Hogwarts after the battle, George found a mirror. It was a beautiful mirror. Gold and glistening. When he looked in it he saw himself. Himself, happy, and energetic, and laughing at something. It made him feel good looking at it. But then his stomach dropped and he felt ill. He didn’t know why. Then he realized. His reflection, had two ears… Edit: How the hell do I have like 80 likes! It been like 7 hours! ☺️ Edit 2: 300 likes!!!! How this probably the most likes I’ve EVER gotten! Tysm!!
I imagine if George Weasley looked into the Mirror of Erised he would see his twin brother Fred standing right beside him and George would have both of his ears intact.
@@Idontwantahandle090 George's reflection had TWO EARS!!!! George only had ONE EAR!!! George isn't seeing himself in the Mirror of Erised, he's seeing...... u know who. 😭😭😭
I actually can understand all of them, and can see why the characters would see what they would! Thank you for putting so much effort into these videos for us Morgan!!
I definitely appreciate the effort and the premise, but a lot of these make the side characters seem really shallow. Like Seamus' deepest heart's desire is seeing himself believing Harry? I know we simply don't have enough info about him to think otherwise, but there's just no way these people's greatest desires are only surrounding what Rowling presents us in the general plot. I would've suggested making this video with way fewer characters, and only the ones we have a ton of backstory on like Hagrid/Voldemort.
One thing I'd like to add about Petunia, I think the main reason she wanted to go to Hogwarts was to have more quality time with her sister, so I think that if she looks into the mirror, she'll see herself and Lily making amends, and growing happy with each other's families.
i disagree with what i have understood of her character she is clearly jealous that her younger sister is able to do things she can't do she desperately want be like her even be better than her but she can't, that puts her in an inferiority complex AND maybe she feels like she is getting less attention from her parents as they are very proud about lily being a sorceress maybe she felt like she was being neglected that might be the cause of her jealousy
Well, Aunt Petunia's desires also must have changed.....Maybe initially she was pretty jealous of Lily's ability and also because their parents were happy to have a witch in the family....But later in life (very late actually) she must have wanted to reconcile with her and her stance against her sister must have softened (I say this in reference to the last book Deathly Hallows where she was bidding farewell to Harry while leaving Privit Drive, she just stood there looking at him in silence for few minutes and then left)
one of the reasons draco hated being a death eater is because Voldemort would threaten draco with his family when he wouldn't do something. I think he would see himself without the dark mark, and his loved ones safe and sound.
I think before Lily's death Snape would see Lily and him in a romantic relationship but in the deathly hallows, he would see Lily and him reconciled as friends and Lily with James and her son that Snape had grown to love. Her just being alive would have been enough
Yes thats it..He would have seen himself with Lily in the mirror while in his school days but as an adult he would see Lily alone or maybe with Harry happy and alive. (No way he would see James, not because he was Lily's husband but he was his abuser- a victim would not see his abuser on the mirror of erised) Furthermore He has accepted her as Lily Potter as we can see in deathly hallows as he calls her as "Lily Potter" not "Lily Evans" in the final confrontation with Dumbledore.
@@akhilanair4472 Look, he was concieteted, mean and arrogant but James grew out of it eventually and at 17 which is major even by our social thoughts. And I remember being a teenager and being a douchebag too. Snape stayed that way and stayed petty towards his son who had absolutely no involvement ever with Snape up till that point. Snape's new desires I agree with. James being an abuser I wouldn't.
@@Osarah96 James Potter was a bully and an abuser. Him growing up and realizing he hurt people in no way means that Snape has to forgive him, especially when he has what Snape wants most - Lily's love and affection. There's no way Snape would see his childhood bully, who indirectly caused him to lose the love of his life and who he blamed for Lily hating him, in the mirror showing his greatest desire.
I don't think Bill would have just seen himself without his scars. He was never one to care about what people thought about his looks and chose to look very rebellious which had probably always made him stand out already so I don't think he'd care that much Getting hurt didn't change anything, if anything it was him getting those scars that finally made his family, especially Molly accept Fleur who still loved him regardless and even saying "All these scars show is that my husband is brave" so I Really don't think his deepest wish and desires would be to erase all that it doesn't fit with the down to earth person he is and always was
That is true and is a valid theory but it should also be said that the scars on his face was from a vicious attack. That can be very traumatic by itself and if any oblivious person could tell what they were from, a werewolf, then it could lead to stigmatization especially since he does have some wolfish traits even if they aren't outright dangerous.
I agree. I think Bill was perfectly happy at Shell Cottage. I think what he would see in the mirror is Voldemort vanquished, so that Fleur could live her perfect life, able to leave the house and see her own family regularly. Bill and Fleur seem like the kind of couple where their greatest desire is the other's happiness.

his boggart was voldemort until the third year when he met dementors so even if voldemort is defeted dementors are still there so that will still be his boggart
I feel so sorry for Cedric because, like you mentioned, he got almost no attention as the Hogwarts champion in the Triwizard Tournament outside of Hogwarts because of Harry, and then not only should he have probably won the tournament if it weren't for Barty Crouch Jr., he also ended up dying in the graveyard with no chance of escaping unlike Harry.
I could totally see most of these. I think that for Lupin he would see himself without lycanthropy and with James Lily and Sirius because they meant the most to him and when he lost them his world turned worse than terrible
I am always amazed at Rowling's skill as a writer. The ability to flesh out 70 characters. How and hell did she learn to do that and how can I? We all got dreams.
@@zerophantomyt433 if you are referring to her comment on “people who have periods”, then NO, she is not a crappy person. You are. For confusing “feelings” with facts.
When you think about it, the mirror of Erised is the most busted object of the series, that could break literally any plot. Harry saw his parents in the movie / saw in his ancestors in the book. But, in real life, he never saw them, not a picture, nothing... So, the mirror understood the desire of something Harry never felt/saw/have memories of and showed the reality and the concept of the desire to the exact details. This mirror is capable of projecting "truth" unknown to the user... You could abuse the crap out of that... A confusion or memory spell on a person to change his deepest desire. And you can have instant visualization of a projection of what the person wants. Let's create a few examples : 1. Confusion spell on Sirius Black to lower his regret of losing his friends and to augment his desire to find the location Peter Pettigrew... Mirror shows the location of Peter... 2. Confusion spell on Albus or Harry to know the location of the Horcruxes and it would show the locations of the Horcruxes.... 3. Confusion spell on a victim of Death eaters to know who killed their family and boom, projection of the murderers... Let's do the ministry work the easy way... I could go on and on and never stop.
If in our world I wonder if it could be used to figure out certain scientific things such as move at the speed of light, teleportation, best source of energy, etc
I don't think it would work that way. It only shows the deepest desire of your heart. For example: I dont think it would ever show Sirius' desire to be Peter Pettigrew. It would show James and Lily Potter, beside him. Same for everyone else. It would never show you how to cope with things that aren't making you happy (your parents being dead, voldemort existing, Pettigrews betrayal, etc). It would just show you at your happiest. And in that image, Voldemort wouldn't even exist, let alone be visible as someones deepest desire (maybe Bellatrixes desire, but Im not sure) Anyways, thats how I would look at it.
7:37-7:46 Okay…. Wow. Just wow. That right there hurt!!! I felt that!!! About a year ago, I made a tweet saying that the sad thing about Fred and George using the aging potion to enter their names of the goblet of fire was that was their only time they would see each other growing old together but I think you just knocked my tweet right of the park!
For narcissa, i feel like she would have also wished that Andromeda had never been disowed by the black family, and she, Bellatrix and Andromeda still close
30:08 I think that's what greyback would have seen during the series. But initially in the beginning, greyback would probably see the wizarding community respecting werewolves and treating them just like any other witch or wizard
4:14 I think after the Cursed Child Draco would’ve seen himself with his son and his (dead) wife Astoria Greengrass because she died early due to an old family condition, I’ve heard that Draco really loved and misses her so that’s my theory.
I agree Petunia would visualize herself at Hogwarts. But I think another possibility is she would see Lily alive again, friends, and most importantly, with her son (Harry) so that Petunia wouldn't have felt like she wasted her life being burdened by him.
Harry : dementor Hermione: McGonagall saying she has failed in every subject Ron: Spider Neville: Prof Snape Draco: Voldemort Voldemort: his own dead body Snape: Lily's dead body Molly: her family's and Harry's dead bodies Lupin: full moon Sirius: himself locked up in a prison George: Fred's dead body Cornelius Fudge: Voldemort rising to power again while he's the Minister Luna: her mother dying Lucius: Voldemort killing his family Narcissa: Draco's dead body Moaning Myrtle: Basilisk eyes Amos Diggory: Cedric's dead body Newt Scamander: all the magical creatures are dying because of people Leta Lestrange: her brother being drowned Jacob Kwaloski: His ordinary life without any encounters with magical people
Sirius black in the mirror makes so much sense since Sirius loves James so much as a best friend and it's heartbreaking that he founded out how James died.
I think Pettigrew, would see himself back again with his childhood friends. I think that maybe, in his heart he wanted them back, and felt deep regret for what he did. I think that kid Tom Marvolo Riddle, would see himself with his parents, would see himself loved, even that he can't feel love, he needed someone to love him at this age. Spot on with the desire of Bellatrix. I just want to say- Bellatrix was a fake person. Because she cast out her own sister Andromeda, for marrying a Muggle-Born. And there she goes, falling in love with a Half-Blood, and by the Cursed Child garbage, giving him a child. Bellatrix wouldn't be the only one, to be mad if she hears what you said. I can hear Dolohov from his grave- Am I a joke to you Muggle? I think about Andromeda. If she would look in the mirror, prior to the deaths of her husband and daughter, she would see herself with her sisters and parents, because she loved them very much, and she wanted to enjoy both of the worlds.
@@king1491 This is what I felt, when I read about his past. I am not a father yet, but when I said that, I tried to think from a parent point of view. That's why I said what I said.

Out of the 70 the only one I disagree with was Jacob. I think he wouldn't change who he is but rather him being able to have a relationship with Queenie and society accepting it. That's why his character is so awesome, he isn't jealous of Newt (or any of them) but wowed by it.
19:39 I personally don’t think Mad-eye would want to lose the magic eye, I think he enjoys the fact that he can see more than an average person I think he likes the eye
About petunia I strongly believe that her desire to go to hogwarts was before Lily’s death. After that I think her deepest desire would have been to see her alive again and reconcile with her despite her jealousy ( the deleted scene for deathly hallows part 1 shows this better than it could ever be described)
I'd add Crookshanks and Mrs Norris. Crookshanks would see Scabbers on a dinner plate, and Mrs Norris would probably see herself as a magical cat, instead of a regular cat.
I really love how he puts all his heart in a video When he speaks it seems like he is generally enjoying talking about it Just like we are having a conversation with him Not to mention his voice is very soothing
I actually believe that Grindelwald would see himself ruling the world but together with Dumbledore. They loved each other very much and I think that Grindelwald‘s heart desires both: The man he loves and the world he wants to have.
The Mirror of Erised of desires and boggart of fear r polar opposites. MovieFlame made a vid on unicorns and thestrals r yin-and yang to each other. Still waiting on "The Life of Oliver Wood".
I saw this in a comment section somewhere it went: “George Weasley was helping at hogwarts when he found a beautiful gold glistening great wide mirror and he had previously talked with Harry so he figured out this was the mirror Harry was talking of, The Mirror Of Erised. And he wanted to see what his desire was so he looked in the mirror and saw himself with two ears, and he thought to himself “seriously this is my desire? My ear back?” Then he realized he was looking at his twin and broke down into tears” So beautifully written. and I saw another comment on this video very similar that was also just as beautifully written
Simply having SEVENTY characters that are portrayed deep enough to make theories on, is yet another proof of how amazing the HP series really is. Think about LotR, which gained success at around the same time (and I'm a fan btw, so no disrespect). But would you be able to make a video about 70 characters, as detailed as this one? Earned my sub.
I love how the deepest desires of most of the characters desires were about friends and family; this just shows how import people are even in fiction ❤️
am i the only one who likes slughorn a lot. even if he was the one who helped voldemort understand the horcruxes better. i really liked his character. he was relatable and really kind. i want a teacher like him😭
I think it would’ve been most effective to say that Neville would’ve seen basically the same image Harry did in the movies. Him standing there with his parents
My headcannon for George would be that as an old man, he's wise but still showing his sense of humor and creativity time to time still heartbroken over Fred's Death, because I read something Iroh from Avatar said: ("How did you get over the death of your son?") "I didn't.". I could see an aging George be like that :)
As much as I admire you Morgan but I think you mostly see Ginny as Harry's love interest/his fangirl but she's so much more than that She will see herself as the captain of the Holyhead harpies or even playing for England in the world cup or see that the events of her first year never happened After the war she'll obviously see her family as whole with Fred standing beside George and Remus and Tonks holding teddy Her heart's desire,as you put it, was much much more than just Harry, if it was then they would have never gotten together.
I think Neville would see himself being seen by his friends as brave and not always being the easy target I also think that there should be a part 2 of this
I really enjoyed this video, and loved the ideas you had for the characters! I can really see them being real, great video man! But, I have an idea for video that could be similar to this, what would the characters see if they drank the potion on the island in the cave? So, what would be some of their deepest fears they’d see?
i have no doubt that he would but i think he and scb and other harry potter related youtubers should be invited as guest or even hosts as they're so knowledgable about the franchise
I actually believe Sirius would see all of the people he cares about happy and together, so the marauders minus peter, harry, lily, regulus, etc. and not just the marauders. I see him as someone who has already coped with the death of his friend and brother, and isn't like, caught up in it like Harry was with his parents.
I read somewhere that George kept dying his hair after the war. When Molly asked him why he said that he kept looking in a mirror and seeing Fred, so he dyes his hair to not look so much like Fred
Oh my that is so sad 😢 I could easily see that happening… honestly, Fred’s death was one of the most heartbreaking of the entire series since he and George were like two halves of a whole. It must’ve felt like such a lonely existence for George after Fred died. Ron went to take George’s place working with him in the joke shop but it wouldn’t have been quite the same.
@elevator3: Interesting fact: The Phelps twins are not Redheads in real life, they are both brunettes and dyed it for the movies - they actually went to school with it dyed and shocked all their school friends that didn't believe they had been cast in the film. Losing a Twin would be agony, I always liked how they spoke in unison.
Now I want the opposite. What would all the characters see if they saw a boggart. Instead of looking at what they desired they would look at what they feared.
This guy is unbelievable I thought my friends liked Harry Potter but movie flame is another level. The fact that he puts so much effort and work to this sort of stuff has just stunned me keep it up. I have binge watched most of his videos and the dedication is inspirational all I can say Is: I have subscribed!

In the end though, Barty helped bring him back to power when Bellatrix was of no use thanks to being such a proud follower of Voldemort.
@@denizkenger52 well if you ask me actions speak louder than words, Barty did bring Voldemort back even dying in the end because of it.

If only he could. If only he could 😢
He would be dressed in several layers with scarves gloves and winter boots😂
He would also see himself with the world record for the ugliest socks
i think he would see a happy winky
I always thought that too.
I think what Draco would actually see is his whole family without the dark mark, embracing each other. What he really wants are loving parents that don’t care about status and power, only about their family
especially his dad, his mom loved him enough to betray Voldemort when Draco was threatened. She loved Draco.
I agree
Awwwww that is so cute, yet nice!

Yeah that makes sense, but I’m simple minded and I just imagined he’d see himself killing wormtail
Oh wait I almost forgot. The mirror of erised was only there in Harry’s first year because they brought it to Hogwarts to protect the Sorceror’s Stone

True!! Deep.... but true.
I disagree and agree
Yeah, and also he feels bad bc he won when harry was tormented by dementors in one of the books
@@MarinaTilich he was even annoyed when his dad kept bragging about it
I think Ron’s desire would also change to just him, Hermione and their kids happy and safe.
And fred
Maybe Harry and Ginny’s family too, since those two are both siblings to him.
Don't forget his family. Ron would want them to be safe too
I'd say financially well off, but Ginny, having married Harry, who'd inherited a small fortune of Wizard Currency from his parents - Added to after Sirius' death, and the Triwizard winnings; Had he not given Fred & George to fund Weasley's Wizard Wheezes - that desire of Ron's was fulfilled
Did you know Ron's boggart is Hermione in pain 🥺
Petunia was bitter about magic because not only was cut from it (since she's not a witch) but also because they took her sister. If i have to guess then she would've seen herself in the mirror as a witch with parents proud of her and discovering the wizarding world with her sister Lily.
In the books Fleur said she was beautiful enough for both her and Bill, and that Bill's scars were a reminder of his bravery
Thats WHOLESOME🥰
I don't think moody will see himself all beautiful. I can't imagine moody wanting is so badly.
I feel like he will see all dark wizard dead at his feet.
I think that too...
I didn't take it as Moody wanting to be beautiful so much as undamaged. Being whole and strong and that much more able to fight dark wizards.
Correction.he would see specifically voldermort dead
The books said that moody never killed if possible.
Not dead, locked up in azkaban with fully loyal dementors.
That’s what he said in the Vid..
he said that?

The way you transitioned between characters always felt like there was a natural connection, and the way you bridged all the ideas together for each character was really nice. It's nice to see your experience from the books v movies series led to a a lot of really small details fitting together for some great theory, thanks for what you do
I think Dobby would see all the house elves free and genuinely happy about their freedom. Aaaaand all the socks he can dream of.
DOBBY 😭 😭 😭 DOBBBY
Conparing Bellatrix to Barty Jr, although they’re both psychopaths, I think Barty Jr is more intelligent and can think clearer as he was able to live in Hogwarts for a whole year in disguise and acting friendly amongst enemies, being friendly with Harry and helping him, of course he had an evil plan, but I think Bellatrix was a crazy unbridled lady, she wouldn’t have managed to stay in character undercover for a whole year, especially around Dumbledore, she wouldn’t be able to get her shit together hahaha
I don't even think she would even last 10 min hahaha
She could barely keep herself together, in Draco's house around her own family. Let alone Dumbledore.
Yeah Barty j.r is a great and cunning actor
Honestly
How much of that was due to Azkaban do you think? Either she was crazy from birth or the prison severely messed her up. Couldn't say it was her upbringing as Narcissa turned out quite normal (abiet still very hateful against muggleborns).
Ever thought of doing Harry Potter What If videos, Morgan? What if Voldemort went after Neville instead of Harry, What if Hagrid wasn’t expelled, What If Snape was Harry’s Father, so on and so forth. Not exactly an original idea, but could be fun.

This is so wholesome
Yes 100%
After his marriage and progeny it's safe to say harry potter is the happiest man on earth and there for see only his reflection.

Yess!if she never stole the diadem Tom wouldn't asked her
She would have seen herself never becoming a ghost.
i do also think Petunia may have seen herself reconciled with lily in the mirror, as an adult after lily's death
"You didn't just lose a mother that night in Godric's Hollow, you know. I lost a sister" i think deep down she felt incredibly guilty about what happened with her relationship with lily, how her jealousy ruined their relationship and regretted not reconciling before lily died
Which is also why she continued to protect harry after vernon wanted to throw him out, she knew how important it was to keep him safe, for both harry and for lily's memory
Or as a witch with magic. Voldemort would see him self as immortal and all-powerful God.
She would have seen both.
Nah, if Vernon looked at himself in the Mirror, he'd just yell, "WHAT IN THE BLAZES AM I LOOKING AT?"
@@advaithnair6394 who with you?
I definitely appreciate the effort and the premise, but a lot of these make the side characters seem really shallow.
Like Seamus' deepest heart's desire is seeing himself believing Harry? I know we simply don't have enough info about him to think otherwise, but there's just no way these people's greatest desires are only surrounding what Rowling presents us in the general plot.
I would've suggested making this video with way fewer characters, and only the ones we have a ton of backstory on like Hagrid/Voldemort.
One thing I'd like to add about Petunia, I think the main reason she wanted to go to Hogwarts was to have more quality time with her sister, so I think that if she looks into the mirror, she'll see herself and Lily making amends, and growing happy with each other's families.
i disagree with what i have understood of her character she is clearly jealous that her younger sister is able to do things she can't do she desperately want be like her even be better than her but she can't, that puts her in an inferiority complex
AND maybe she feels like she is getting less attention from her parents as they are very proud about lily being a sorceress maybe she felt like she was being neglected that might be the cause of her jealousy
I've actually imagined that Petunia would one day be reconciled with Lily but Lily died early.
I think that 'Nearly headless Nick' would see himself as headless, so that he could join the headless hunt that he so very much desired to do.
Nah that man was obsessed he would still see himself with her
@@akhilanair4472 Look, he was concieteted, mean and arrogant but James grew out of it eventually and at 17 which is major even by our social thoughts.
Yes, this is facts because he changed when he was 40-60 into a better person, I mean, when he was dead
I don't think Bill would have just seen himself without his scars. He was never one to care about what people thought about his looks and chose to look very rebellious which had probably always made him stand out already so I don't think he'd care that much
Getting hurt didn't change anything, if anything it was him getting those scars that finally made his family, especially Molly accept Fleur who still loved him regardless and even saying "All these scars show is that my husband is brave" so I Really don't think his deepest wish and desires would be to erase all that
it doesn't fit with the down to earth person he is and always was
That is true and is a valid theory but it should also be said that the scars on his face was from a vicious attack.
Bill and Fleur seem like the kind of couple where their greatest desire is the other's happiness.

dragon caring was just a passion of charlie that he got persue but to hagrid its was an obssession that could never be fulfilled

Let's create a few examples :
Part of the mirrors enchantment would probably be that it would show your true desires not temporary desires caused by a confusion potion
the mirror doesn't show you how to get the desire it just shows you what it is
I don't think it would work that way.
And in that image, Voldemort wouldn't even exist, let alone be visible as someones deepest desire (maybe Bellatrixes desire, but Im not sure)
Anyways, thats how I would look at it.

If she would look in the mirror, prior to the deaths of her husband and daughter, she would see herself with her sisters and parents, because she loved them very much, and she wanted to enjoy both of the worlds.
the fact you called voldie that kid is funny as hell
@@king1491 This is what I felt, when I read about his past. I am not a father yet, but when I said that, I tried to think from a parent point of view. That's why I said what I said.
Voldemort couldn't love. Hed probably see himself as completely in control of the magical world
@@abdirahmanidris290 I know he couldn't love. I meant that he probably imagined as a kid what is the thing he can't feel and how he would have wanted to have it. Just a theory.
@@eranshachar9954 it is a decent theory. Depends how you understand voldemort
Oh God, Movie Flames, my heart didn't need to heart that thing about George watching himself in any mirror. 😭
literally made me tear up
I TOTALLY believe nearly headless Nick would see himself with his head fully severed!
"It's my boy", still makes me cry😢
Maybe do a video on every spell in Harry Potter.
Yes
I second this
Or every character’s boggart
Yes. That’s a very good idea!
Yass we need this
Out of the 70 the only one I disagree with was Jacob. I think he wouldn't change who he is but rather him being able to have a relationship with Queenie and society accepting it. That's why his character is so awesome, he isn't jealous of Newt (or any of them) but wowed by it.
19:39 I personally don’t think Mad-eye would want to lose the magic eye, I think he enjoys the fact that he can see more than an average person
I think he likes the eye
Maybe instead of a magic eye he would see himself in magic (sun glass like ) glasses 😎
Dudley might see Harry as a brother but having another cousin to use as a punching bag
About petunia I strongly believe that her desire to go to hogwarts was before Lily’s death. After that I think her deepest desire would have been to see her alive again and reconcile with her despite her jealousy ( the deleted scene for deathly hallows part 1 shows this better than it could ever be described)
I feel like another bonus one should be Nearly Headless Nick. He would see himself finally joining the headless hunt
I'd add Crookshanks and Mrs Norris. Crookshanks would see Scabbers on a dinner plate, and Mrs Norris would probably see herself as a magical cat, instead of a regular cat.
I really love how he puts all his heart in a video
When he speaks it seems like he is generally enjoying talking about it
Just like we are having a conversation with him
Not to mention his voice is very soothing
this content really is amazing, all the books and movies explained, and many more- well done morgan!
I actually believe that Grindelwald would see himself ruling the world but together with Dumbledore. They loved each other very much and I think that Grindelwald‘s heart desires both: The man he loves and the world he wants to have.
True
This video is amazing! They should make a book/movie about Teddy Lupin since he is the “second Harry”.
You should’ve done Credence. He probably would see himself with his real family as a strong wizard. And happy
oh yea
And nearly headless nick having his head completely cut off to join the headless hunt.
Before I even start watching the video, let me say this: we truly appreciate your efforts. Your theories and hp analysis are very good. ❤️
I Second that emotion!
The Mirror of Erised of desires and boggart of fear r polar opposites. MovieFlame made a vid on unicorns and thestrals r yin-and yang to each other.
Still waiting on "The Life of Oliver Wood".
I feel like Fleur (before her marriage) would see the Weasley family accepting her
I saw this in a comment section somewhere it went:
“George Weasley was helping at hogwarts when he found a beautiful gold glistening great wide mirror and he had previously talked with Harry so he figured out this was the mirror Harry was talking of, The Mirror Of Erised.
And he wanted to see what his desire was so he looked in the mirror and saw himself with two ears, and he thought to himself “seriously this is my desire? My ear back?” Then he realized he was looking at his twin and broke down into tears”
So beautifully written.
and I saw another comment on this video very similar that was also just as beautifully written
I love both fandoms too but I wouldn't compare them in that way🙈
Boi u haven't seen enough lotr media
I love how the deepest desires of most of the characters desires were about friends and family; this just shows how import people are even in fiction ❤️
am i the only one who likes slughorn a lot. even if he was the one who helped voldemort understand the horcruxes better. i really liked his character. he was relatable and really kind. i want a teacher like him😭
Nah, you're good
I think it would’ve been most effective to say that Neville would’ve seen basically the same image Harry did in the movies. Him standing there with his parents
ur under rated
“But something was always missing in Luna’s life”
Sanity?
“And that was a mother”
That too
motherless behavior
Mcgonagall deep down loved the muggle she once had a relationship with, I feel like she would see them happily together in the mirror
I think Petunia would also see Lilly going with her to Hogwarts and still beeing alive as well.
I also think she would see Harry and Dudley playing together like brothers.
@@normansmith9110
This is possible if it wasn't for her jealousy and envy for a child who has nothing to do with his mother being special and pretty
My headcannon for George would be that as an old man, he's wise but still showing his sense of humor and creativity time to time still heartbroken over Fred's Death, because I read something Iroh from Avatar said: ("How did you get over the death of your son?") "I didn't.". I could see an aging George be like that :)
I love you
@@IsraelLlerena oi thanks
Amos Grigory crying over Cedric’s body is probably the saddest moment in the entire four first films AND books. The actor was just… WOW 🥺😢
this was a fantastic video Morgan you're an amazing content creator
Love Morgan casually saying how much he knows before being so knowledgeable as always. Never change man 😎
Ironic that Harry asks Dobby to never try and save his life again, and then only survives because Dobby tried to save his life again
As much as I admire you Morgan but I think you mostly see Ginny as Harry's love interest/his fangirl but she's so much more than that
She will see herself as the captain of the Holyhead harpies or even playing for England in the world
cup or see that the events of her first year never happened
After the war she'll obviously see her family as whole with Fred standing beside George and Remus and Tonks holding teddy
Her heart's desire,as you put it, was much much more than just Harry, if it was then they would have never gotten together.
Agreed 100%
0:13: Joke's on you, I had already figured that out.
I think Neville would see himself being seen by his friends as brave and not always being the easy target
I also think that there should be a part 2 of this
I really enjoyed this video, and loved the ideas you had for the characters! I can really see them being real, great video man!
But, I have an idea for video that could be similar to this, what would the characters see if they drank the potion on the island in the cave? So, what would be some of their deepest fears they’d see?
Oooh that would be interesting. It might also be a bit sad for some characters like the Weasleys.
I think Sirius would have desired him and Regulus to get along again in the Marauders timeline.
Heyyy, you should be invited to this new show called Harry Potter: tournament of the houses (it’s a Harry Potter trivia show). You’d win it in a pinch
i have no doubt that he would but i think he and scb and other harry potter related youtubers should be invited as guest or even hosts as they're so knowledgable about the franchise
draco would see his father hearing about everything he needed to
I actually believe Sirius would see all of the people he cares about happy and together, so the marauders minus peter, harry, lily, regulus, etc. and not just the marauders. I see him as someone who has already coped with the death of his friend and brother, and isn't like, caught up in it like Harry was with his parents.
Thanks for this video Morgan!! I would love some more PJO and HOO content maybe life of Nico Di Angelo?
I read somewhere that George kept dying his hair after the war. When Molly asked him why he said that he kept looking in a mirror and seeing Fred, so he dyes his hair to not look so much like Fred
When Fred died that hit me the hardiest. I swear all the good characters die ex: Sirius Tonk’s lupin dumbledore FRED
@@cookiecookie3712 I agree, but don't forget Hedwig.
05:18 nah bro Luna would definitely see a crumple horned snorkack for sure 😂
If Gravity falls characters looked into the Erised Mirror
Stanford Pines would see himself refusing Bill Cipher deal
Bill Cipher would see himself killing the pines and becoming overlord
Dipper would see himself as an adult becoming like his Grand uncle's Stan and Ford and Marrying Wendy
Stanly Pines would see himself making better choices in life and having his father's approval
Any more ideas?
Soos would see his dad hugging him
