I had my doubts at first but i can't believe this actually works!!! My hernia was the size of a small lemon and now its the size of a pea and still shrinking!!! I can be way more active, i can even still dance now with any pain or aggregation. Thank you sooo much for this man!!!
Allocai Juwell my just disappeared for the past and was at least the size of a lemon that kept getting more painful with movement. I think God cauz I didn’t wanna have surgery, I am not gonna rush back to the weight room
So basically this is what hernia is, it's weak / damaged abdominal walls. I have had hernia for over 20 years, after having 3 surgeries done by incompetent doctors, that left me with almost complete numbness in the genital area. Now that I started working with a physical / sports therapist and recovering the area, it started healing and my hernia "hole" slowly getting smaller. I used to have a bulge or a hump in my scrotum that was terrible to look at. Now i'm healing. If I look everywhere on the internet it says that the ONLY option is surgery. Yeah right. I think the public has been greatly misinformed. Thank you for this video and spreading awareness that it is possible to heal. I do a lot of lower abdominal exercises, and some similar in this video.
Hi George: first of all, a wholehearted thank you! I've had a right inguinal hernia for 15 years, which eventually got to the size of two golf balls, just like yours. After feeling sharp pain it was high time to do something about it, and your advice has been invaluable. I have been doing the exercises for three months, and also wearing a home-made support (comfortable and adaptable: 5 meter boxing hand wrap holding a chunk of tough foam) most of the time (when not sleeping, in the shower, or doing the exercises). Now everything seems to be going back to its right place. Some time ago I had tried your comfort-truss but my hernia was so bad that it would not hold it in (it would pop out even in bed lying back). Now the hernia is tiny, no pain, and most days does not pop out at all (even without the support on), I cannot believe how weak my abdominal muscles were before this routine. I am also complementing the exercises with hip flexor and hamstrings stretching. I do the exercises once every three days, for a couple of hours. I am up to 50 reps with most of the exercises, so they take a while to do. Although not overweight, I am a bit of a couch potato so this is a feat for me. By the way, in the original 1916 book by Andrew Gour (available online for free, as the copyright has expired), there are a few more interesting exercises. One of them is: lying on your back, stretch your legs up then lower them stretched to the right and back up a few times (this is for a right hernia). Do it also on the left (one should build up all the muscle groups symmetrically). Also, the last exercise you are doing has a couple of variations in the book. The straight leg side ups can also be done by twisting and leaning your body towards the left (for a right hernia) and keeping it there for as long as you can, a few times. Of course, you should repeat towards the right side for symmetry. All the best George, you have really helped a lot of people. The medical profession really should be ashamed.
This is great to hear! You’ve made some amazing progress. Have you focused at all on any of the other four root causes that I talk about? It sounds like maybe you have something going on holding you back from the hernia going completely away.
1.) Leg pulls 2.) Sleeping bag squeeze 3.) Leg Ls 4.) Reverse Swim 5.) V- ups 6.) Knee circle leg extension 7.) V-downs 8.) Around the world 9.) Straight leg sit-ups 10.) Straight leg side ups
I got an inguinal hernia over two months ago. Met my surgeon almost a month ago for a consult. He wants to do laparoscopic but I want open due to chronic conditions I'm concerned about. I have worked out daily my whole life. Since the hernia I continued but cut back a lot. The ER doc who diagnosed me reduced it and I have been reducing it myself 20 to 30 times a day by pushing in and massaging it. Now, I cannot do that for some reason probably because it's growing. And I am still waiting a surgery date. So my hernia is a large melon that might go back in when I lay down but it pops right back out when I get up. So I am off to the gym to do my workout and I will do these first. Wish me luck.
@@akiboys9140 Open mesh hernia repair surgery went well. Had it jun 2023. No reoccurrence since. I do have hernia feelings still that are like a pulling sensation and bulging sensation like I still have a hernia but I am told that is not uncommon. May be a little mesh pain. But I am back to normal otherwise.

I'm also diagnosed with the direct inguinal hernia(left) just a couple of weeks ago since then trying to do some adjustment in my lifestyle. . the eating, the yoga routines and so on..but your video feel like have an additional benefits in strengthening the abdominal muscles and I'm going to give it a try as long as I can avoid the surgery as mine is still in an early stage and very small and it has no serious pain or discomfort. If you have any advice for me, I thank you in advance.
I had terrible pain down on my right side. Found out I had an iguinial hernia I got from lifting weights. It is a minor one with no bump but surgery was the only option docs gave me. After seeing this video I did buy a decline/incline bench for 35 bucks online. The kind you use for sit ups. Have been doing all the exercises on here for two weeks and pain is gone! I feel great but will wait a couple of months before lifting again. I want to thank you for this. No surgery. Life changer.
Your body naturally heals itself. Without the need of surgery or any medication! Good exercises like these and a good diet, you'll definitely see some improvement.
@@alehlete830 yeah 🤦♂️,I never regretted this much ,these excercises literally messed my life ...I would never forgive this guy in the video...My internal vibrations aren't going off😭 and I'm getting tingling sensation again in my hands
@@arunc7627 question... how is ur diet? Because perhaps you should consider losing a bit of weight and improve your diet before you even attempt these exercises.
Recently I have got done my hernia surgery. Doctor said that I have less possibility of getting affected by hernia again. If I get affected again then I will get into these exercises. Hope it'll never occur again. Plz pray for me.
TITAN 007 going to have my surgery probably in 2 months. Judging by these movements, it works out lower body (more importantly lower abs). I suggest you do this to strengthen your lower abs so you don’t get the hernia again

Hi George. First of all, thank you so much! You are literally saving my life right now! During a climbing session 2 months ago, I suddenly felt an intense pain, which turned out to come from an inguinal hernia. My doctor said I need surgery, but no sir, I don't think so! After a short research I found your channel. I've been practising these exercises for a couple of weeks now and I definitely notice some improvements. By the way, I've also bought your comfort truss, light and heavy-duty, which are both great! I can even continue with my climbing and kung fu training, without any problems. Again, thank you so so much!!! Best regards from Germany
Within 3 days of starting these exercises my hernia pain is down 95%. I think something was off in my SI joint which was putting strain on the front of the pelvis because I felt it click back in place on day 2. I think these are phenomenal exercises for core strength and I'm doubly motivated to do them if they're going to help me manage my hernia. My goal is to never have surgery on it and I'm 30, so I have a long way to go but I know it's doable.
I was a bit sceptical thinking that the comments i read are an exaggeration. I however was in so much and i have already done the surgery about 5yrs ago but the hernia is back. I faithlessly gave the exercises a shot. Alas, I'm on the 3rd day and the pain is gone. Thank you so much.
I have been on holiday the past 10 days, been overindulging, haven't been exercising and started to get the pain again from the inguinal hernia. I remembered this video, just finished the exercise day 1 and already feel a big difference. Thanks again for posting!
Remarkable, I am on the tail end of recovery from a sciatica nerve injury, that was painful. I have had an Inguinal hernia now for 2 years...going to give this a whirl. These folks are the ones who bring meaning to " The Body is a Healing Machine" Thanks man, and thanks for all of the great comments.
I think this video is for people who recoverd from hernia by 3 weeks because theirs no way doing this is helping it i recommend asking your doctor what type of exercises you should do.
A small, reducible hernia will go back into the abdominal wall. However, hernias tend to worsen and over time - it could be years - the intestinal contents will protrude further through the abdominal wall. I'm willing to give this video a try but am approaching with caution. Your hernia (at least, if it is an inguinal hernia) should pretty much disappear when you lie on your back. If it is small enough, you can push it back when you're taking a shower. Don't assume that doing the exercises once will resolve the problem. Keep watching it. I hope you'll avoid surgery, but stay vigilant.
My Natural Hernia Cure, hi about how long they took you for fix your hernia and did you use the belt all day long??? I have one hernia as well, some times I can’t walk because of the pain, I went to emergency couple of days ago, didn’t do anything No doctors available and here I am doing this, so far helps really good, Is possible to fix it without surgery???
This is the most informative video I have found. The exercises accurately target the area needing improvement. Thank you very much for taking the time to make this excellent video. Greetings from Greece. 🇬🇷
Progress report...my hernia that had been poking out daily...now seems to have gone back into place...it was touch and go for a minute, evaluating the process and progress but now, several weeks into this...my surgeon's going to be pissed...oh, well...internet. And this book published back in the early century, pure gold. He's modified the exercises but I've memorized half of them so they're a daily go to, even now without the groin pouch aching like it did often. Won't miss that at all really....more active as others have said now...but it was painful before I even knew of these exercises and benefits...surprise! Who knew? Apparently someone who studied a very long time ago, how this human body keeps amazing us daily....so now what do I do? They did the heart study, EKG in preparation for something that may not occur now...feels weird bypassing the "system" like this...but seems normal for where we are now in this timeline. Discovering mysteries too deep for modern medical practice to even acknowledge as reasonable. Myfascial Release added to this when I found ways to avoid taking pain meds by moving the related fascia away from the nerve endings and pain went bye, bye...several times I did this during the worst pains one can imagine. Probably caused by my misaligning my guts with the muscle tissue while exploring ( has it's risks, better have a high pain threshold if it occurs) then I figured out a few more things and kept involving the exercises mentioned. I still find it hard to believe this exists. I didn't want to have to lay out massive co-pay for surgery if there were reasonable alternatives out there to consider. This is the one for many...from reading the comments. I agree....this is awesome.
But sir, the last part of excercise is it correct, my stomach is getting full pressure, by pulling and lifting up your body and twisting your body it's seem my herine is getting Verse, please advice
i have had a hernia for at least 6 years. 64 yrs. old . i started these exercises about 4 months ago and have finally built up to 10 each . 3 times a week. no improvement so far. i'll keep you updated. i always wear a support belt.
George, I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to research and post this video! I’m 45 y/o, run 5Ks, and work out a 4-5 times a week. Then bam! 2 golf balls on my right side. And I love golf! Wish I could take pic, but that would be gross. Anyway, first video I did, woke up the next day and it was flat, bro! Flat! I went back to routine and after 3 days felt a sensation return with minor bulge, so I knocked out another and it sucked back in. Looks like a need to perform multiple times per week until the muscle builds back. Like you I seek alternatives to prevent surgery! Thanks so much for not giving up to find a solution and sharing with us! And a shout out to the osteopath from 1916! Salute!
for 12 years I had an inguinal hernia I didn't pay attention to it before but when I decided it had to go away and get better and I prayed to god to heal me and by the grace of god it went away and this video also helped me so thank you very much I don't believe the doctor that it doesn't get better because I pray with you and trust in the Lord God, I promise you will get better ❤🙏😇 From: PHILIPPINES 🥰
This is working. Lately, right after the workout I feel odd. However, after a day or two of rest I feel so strong in my mid section and my Hernia area has gone down even more. So I’m keeping a small journal on what to expect each time as it helps me to know this IS working! Does anyone else feel this way during the process?
@@sujayghosh2482 Hi, I've only just started and finished 3 Sessions of the workouts. The only ones I cannot do at least yet are the last two with my Legs straight and lifting up my torso and the lifting the torso and twisting side to side. However, I do a few more of My Own exercises which I think will help and strengthen me to eventually add those. So week one is done and my next workout I do it 13 times each. Already I feel my low abs strengthening, in the right area, not so much on the day of the workout, but during the 2 day rest between. I hope you start too. I'm guessing by my second week I will notice more and hopefully a lot more by the end of the 2nd Month. It makes sense when you do it and the sooner you start the sooner you will see. Let me know...
@@sujayghosh2482 Something I should add is already when I get out of bed gravity doesn't not have the Hernia pop out as quickly. It does still eventually come out, but the muscles will slow that to a stop over time. ...and that is only after 3 times doing it I notice the difference. For me anyway...
man i just did one round and i feel better for real. i was so worried for my 6 packs but this is really helping me to stay in shape as well.many may thanks to you brother
I’ve been doing these exercises for a couple months now. I’m up to 21 reps per exercise now. It took a few attempts to get used to doing ten. I have noticed improvement. Like most of the day my hernia is gone. Some days it does not come at all. Occasionally it still does but fewer and farther between and less pronounced. Thank you for the advice!! Will keep it going.
It’s been 7 months now and I still do the exercises 3 times per week. 30 reps per set. My hernia rarely rears itself any more, maybe once a every other week vs ~100 times per day at the beginning. Thanks again for the video! I was planning to have surgery, but now plan to continue this routine instead.
@@Heartss0014 still good. Occasionally notice it, but also still do the exercises three times a week and also do one other ab exercise- sit ups with dumbbell on a decline bench. The exercise is not fun but neither is surgery so I plan to stick with it. A healthy diet does not hurt. I tend to notice/feel it more when I eat poorly and walk a few miles
And, I'm another guy, found your vid, love the silence, and watched. I got one near my left groin from moving something too heavy almost 5 months ago. Never had a hernia in my life at 65, but there is was. I'd used forms of MFR to keep the pain and fascia plus muscles relaxed around it, coping like this for weeks...thank God for learning self MFR over the past 4-5 years, and not a PT, just aware of options. Adding some of these exercises to my morning routine, it's only been about two weeks of doing the reverse swim and leg lifts, plus the turning with knees together side to side, about 10 reps morning and sometimes before bed...today I actually mowed my back lawn with a manual mower and realized when I sat down to check email etc....no pouch at all. I read your experience with two at one point and thought, what if? Well....Thank you for shooting, editing and posting this. If they follow it to a "T" even if modifying, the strengthening of the abdominal wall where iguinal hernias will occur. You're a genius, in my eyes for posting among all of the other noise we have to drift through sometimes just to get one insight that's spot on. May God Richly Bless and keep you for what you've shared. If they don't follow the course as outlined, of course they'll be skeptical. I don't have to worry as much about surgery and the cost of hospitalization to repair, maybe now. That's a load off of any mind just trying live life with joy and peace and love for my fellow mankind. If only mankind would slow it down and listen...they'd hear truth and wellness. Thanks again, friend, and I'll share this vid with many...no other choice. My first day in months today...and I did work too? Wowser!!! Mind blown but this was early knowledge, so we all pretty much know what happened to it, until you researched, and I did find the book online, started reading chapters and it all made clear sense. Just like using Hydrogen Peroxide in the ear when flu symptoms first start...to kill the virus inside the ear wax...I've gotten well numerous times doing this. But my new interest is now the lowly mushroom, the fungus among us. Seems to have healing qualities in various varieties. Reishi is the star they promote, but plain white buttons from the 99 cent, nuked with basil and garlic...haven't been sick in ages, and no flu shots here. Plant based works well as baseline nutritional practice. It's how we heal faster, of course. Take care...reverse swim, it's staying in my morning routine as will the others gradually. Cool vid, BTW
Thank you so much for posting this. I had a very bad experience with a doctor and haven't been back since, although I knew I had a hernia to rectify. These videos have given me hope
I had the worse Hernia pain in my life last week I finally decided to take these exercise seriously instead of relying on the belt to "Band-Aid"the problem, even though you belt is the best I've worn!
These excercises are great for streintenig the abs, but be careful. About 4 years ago when i was diagnosed with the right Indirect inguinal hernia (the one that can slide into the inguinal canal and then scrotum), i started doing these exercises for the next 3 years with some pauses. My abs where great and i was doing it on a daily basis, that i even had to do several pauses because of excessive work, my back started to hurt. The hernia started to stay inside for a while, but eventually if would always pop out. I read in the the comments that the pain for some people decreased and the hernia got smaller, but that means for the Indirect inguinal hernia that part of your muscle tissue surrounding the deep inguinal ring got more stronger, but the other muscle parts are still torn. So you still have a problem with the intestine sliding through your inguinal canal. So, if you relax and go for a run or do some work, the intestine could quickly slide down and be incarcerated by the muscles, becouse even a small bulb can make the way for the intestine to slide down through the inguinal canal to the skrotum. I used all kinds of belts, the most expensive one i could find on the market, flat ones and bulgy one, even the one from George (comfort truss). They all worked for a while. After some period, no belt could hould the hernia, the hernia would always find its way (the intestine would always slide down through the deep inguinal ring). Becouse, Indirect inguinal hernia is not some whole that you can simply patch, or a bulb that you can simply decrease. Inguinal canal is a complicated set of muscles constantly moving and stretching depending of your weight, body position, time of day, body load, what you eat etc. So, it is very dangerous if someone thinks that can put the hernia belt and behave normaly like doing their regular sport activites or lifting weights, becouse intestine could quickly slide down and be incarcerated by the tight ab musceles. And in that case, emergency operation must be done, or you could be dead in a few hours. I eventually got the sugery 1 year ago because it started to hurt all the time. I could not even hold the hernia belt, becouse od constant discomfort and pain. Also i wasnt able to hold it in with any belt. Every hernia is different. For some people these excersies and wearing the belt will work, but for me it didnt. What ever you do, be careful.

This is all I do: I just do the soccer ball squeeze while on my couch for at least 30mins while watching tv (this is less of a chore when distracted watching tv). I squeeze the soccer ball (8.5" diameter) constantly with slight to moderate pressure (also squeeze and release depending on my mood). My inguinal hernia went from feeling like a golf ball to nothing within a week or 2. I work out without any issues now. And I don't feel it otherwise. This is my cure. I do this every day! That's the key I think. I've been doing this for about a year. No more inguinal hernia (note: i was suffering with it for about 3 years prior - not bad enough for surgery but bad enough that I could feel it while walking or working out). Hope this helps someone!
@@dalriada A soccer ball (mine is about 8.5 inches in diameter) is always on couch (convenient), and I just place btn my legs when I'm by myself (it's weird to do when I have friends over), legs bent usually, watching tv ... I do it literally it everyday for fear it may the inguinal hernia will pop back. If 0 is not squeezing at all and 10 is max squeezing, I do mine about 4-5. I don't do any stretches beforehand, nothing. And, it's all I do. It's the most convenient exercise to do (I did all the other stuff online ... some worked a bit but nothing as good as this ... maybe because I didn't do it everyday. I wasn't very consistent doing the others ... but mostly because I wasn't getting immediate results. This ball squeeze started showing results in about 2 weeks I think ... ). It's just luck that it worked. I had no expectations. My inguinal hernia is not showing at all now (it used to be about the size of a golf ball ... actually, maybe half the size of a golf ball), but I'm sure it will come back if I stop doing this exercise. I've been doing just this for about 2 years now (I think). Hopefully it'll work for you, too. And, if it does work, you will get the hang of how much to squeeze and so on. Just do it everyday for about 30mins ... watching tv to make it easier to do! I do it on vacation as well. Everyday. Any other questions, just ask. Good luck!
@@1analist Just replied to @dalriada. I squeeze the soccer ball 8.5" (not pillow as I find it too soft) in any position that allows me to hold it btn my legs but usually with my legs bent like in the video but instead of the pillow, I use a soccer ball. I usually lie on my side on the couch but sometimes do it sitting upright ... depends on my mood. Watching tv while doing it is the most convenient way for me to do it to ensure I do it consistently everyday - note. I'm lazy about these things so this is perfect for me. I have the ball on or next to my couch for ease of access. If you have any other questions, just ask. Hope this helps. So far (for 2 years at least) it's helped me. No sign of my Inguinal hernia anymore so far. Working out is no issue now. But, I will say, doing the "plank" exercise did aggravate it (enough to make me feel - if you know what I mean - my inguinal hernia and scare me) when I tried it a few times last year. So I just stopped doing that exercise. Burpees, kettlebell (competition style - not hard style), bulgarian bag workouts & running are fine.
I just started my journey, my hernia is the size of two golf balls. I now have a belt and I’m gonna do these exercises everyday. I hope see improvement. Thanks for changing my outlook on hernias.
@@jwr77777 Since I started I’ve seen major improvements. I’m still not able todo lot without the belt but the exercises are definitely helping (it’s a slow process). However if you can get surgery you should but don’t neglect the exercises though they can really help strengthen the inguinal muscle for post surgery recovery as well help prevent another hernia. If you can’t get surgery then get a belt so you can function normally and do the exercises everyday you will see major improvement.
thank you for taking the time to reply. My doctor said exercises were a waste of time but I am 58 with afib issues and my cardiologist told me 2 years ago that surgery was my only option but I have been eliminated 98% of my issues by changing my lifestyle. Surgery is probably my best option but doctors are way too eager to write prescriptions for pills and push surgery.
So yeah...don't try the V's a week after your first inguinal hernia. Even with a makeshift truss, the first one felt like it tore me. The squeezing of the pillow was the best thing from this video. It made the area feel good straight away. Make sure you breathe properly. This video doesn't show that, and it's the most important thing in ab exercises. Exhale while squeezing, when you relax your legs, breathe in.
Hey George. Just stumbled on to your page, after Googling 'Inguinal Hernia Workout'. I had a left-sided Ing hernia, 6 years ago. Mesh repaired, successfully. Within last couple of months, a golf ball (ish) sized occasional protrusion has appeared on the right-hand side. I have been plank exercising, to core strengthen, as this protrusion feels as if there is a distinct weakening of the lining, though not necessarily a breach. It does't have that burn the previous one did...at least, thus far. Excited to find your routine and having just completed it for the first time, am firstly, zonked! Secondly, no pain in that lower groin area. Thirdly, feels like a damn fine core workout. I'm going to get on top of this, with your help and I just wanted to thank you for producing a comprehensive guide on the subject. I do not want another procedure and with your help, I feel that is totally achievable. Top man... 👏👏👏
This is like manna from heaven; instant relief....not sure if I'll be healed completely, but there's no question these exercises are helpful. Thanks, buddy...and the 1916 author.
Wow. Watching your instructional video and reading comments, it is very encouraging, as I am having the hernia... I need to start this exercise now.... Thank you so much !!
Hello. So far so good my friend. There are mainly 2 things below I have been doing in the last several days and it seems that I don't have the hernia symptom. I plan continue doing that. (1) Don't try to push while having bowel movements. (2) Follow this video to exercise. I like the bike pedal exercise. Hope this helps. Good luck, my friend.
Thank you greatly. Naturally cured my inguinal hernia under 2 years. Never wore comfort truss but mine quite small and I was 23 years old now 25 fully cured. Very active training mma and working as a full time gardener. Please stay positive and patient.👽🎲🌅
I felt it 1st time in 2021. Did ultrasound only last January and confirmed it's a inguinal hernia, not big . Doctor said not worry or go on surgery if I want. I took the time to search about healing because I couldn't believe nothing can be done . The thing is that the system wants you to go through the whole medical avenue and never considers alternatives ( Canada healthcare). I also found that one type yoga can help and there is medical paper about it! I am starting the exercises today ( omg its so difficult lol). will add comments as I progress. Thanks for sharing this!!!
I'm feeling very silly. I have been doing these 6 times a week, resting only on Sunday's. Only today I'm seeing I'm not supposed to. Well, it is not progressing or regressing which is good. I'm using something to keep hernia inside, but will purchase a belt. Now my plan is reducing for 3x week. I am really looking the exercise routine though!
Hi George, thanks for the exercise videos. They're great! I read your story on your website ; I have to say you did good my friend! It was super encouraging to me to hear your story. It's great that you've opened up this conversation about alternatives to surgery. Just gonna share some interesting info here: I asked my acupuncturist yesterday what the Traditional Chinese Medicine view on hernias is. They believe it can be caused by a chi deficiency. Basically the chi ((inner vitality) which normally supports the organ is weak, causing the organ to drop down a bit. So they focus on strengthening the chi around the organ. Just thought it was interesting that there is a medical tradition out there with a whole different way of treating an inguinal hernia.
I've had a hernia for 7 years. I wish I could do those exercises. I have a bad lower back. But I do bicycle motions in bed while lying on my back. I've been doing them for 10 days. My hernia bulge has gotten smaller. Also for the last 10 days I wear a hernia truss and sometime just a elastic back brace that I wear low enough to cover my hernia. Thanks for the video. Good information.

Guys don't waste your time with belts, i tried almost everything but after 3 years i got labaroscopic surgery and after one week i was healed enough to walk normal, i dont have any problem about that anymore, feels so good.
@@MyNaturalHerniaCure thanks mate, i had indirect inguinal hernia, it became so big in 3 years, bigger then tennis ball, it was like a hazelnut before even i do care of it. After surgery i feel like i can fly. Surgery was only an hour. it is been 4 months now feels so good. Highly recommended
The exercises are all for strengthening the lower body (abs), I just started on 1st June, and it is showing some positive effects already, the bulge is smaller. Thank you My Natural Hernia Cure.
@@MyNaturalHerniaCure does your hernia hurts? Ever since I had a hernia I did not feel any pain at all. I played basketball, do calisthenics, go to the gym. Does this exercise shrink the size of the bulge?
Same here. I have inguinal hernia since birth and also I don't feel any pain. But it bothers me when I see my hernia coming out, and I overthink later on.
FIrst - big thanks for your efforts, spreading the word about what's helping you heal your hernia! My question is about these exercises your showing where you're tightening your abs, or otherwise working your abs. How is it these ab-stressing movements are good, as they're causing so much intra-abdominal pressure (which is so bad for making the intestines push more through the hernia)?
Usually being on your back will keep the hernia from putting pressure on the defect. I don't know of any other way to strengthen the area without stressing the muscles. The original text actually shows these exercises being doing on a declined table with the head being below the level of the feet so that gravity is keeping the pressure off. I never felt any pressure while doing them, so I just do them flat on the ground.
In addition to the tension (engagement/strain) in my abdomen, my lower back arches off the ground. My understanding is that crunch-type moves/exercises and anything that creates intra-abdominal pressure and/or works out the rectus abdominus is bad for someone with inguinal hernias, as it encourages/increases add’l pressure of abdominal contents up against the weakness/opening in abdominal floor (even if on a decline with abdomen lower than abdominal floor), even when not doing these exercises, because it strengthens those muscles that create intra-abdominal pressure in day to day activities. Am I wrong about that? Also, arching the lower back is essentially doing and/or promoting anterior pelvic tilt (which also promotes or exacerbates inguinal hernia). Whaddya think?
@@tc3imagery I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Are you saying that strengthening the muscles that surround the inguinal canal (obliques and transversus abdominis) is bad because it creates intra-abdominal pressure?
@@MyNaturalHerniaCure That's close to what I'm saying. I'll clarify (By the way, I'm not saying I'm correct about this, but it is what I've gleaned (maybe incorrectly?) from lots of research online, and in-person from various modalities of health practitioners). My understanding is that: a) workouts that workout the rectus abdominus (i.e. crunches & situps) - and maybe workouts that workout obliques - are also doing or causing something that causes potentially hernia-promoting intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) AND/OR b) strengthening the rectus abdominus (and maybe obliques?) is not good because THOSE muscles contribute to potentially hernia-promoting IAP. To be clear, everything I've heard about strengthening trasversus abdominis (TVA) is that it's good for remediating inguinal hernias. When I do any exercise that includes movement in either direction of a situp or crunch type of move (whether exercises in your video, or otherwise), I'm NOT getting that hernia-remediating action of drawing in the TVA & navel, even though I try to do so. Instead, I get a neutral or outward flexing of my abdomen, which, as I understand it, causes IAP of pushing abdominal contents up against the weakened hernia area of the abdominal floor. Same goes for less situp/crunch type exercises, but still leg-lift type exercises - I feel like I'm experiencing some form of IAP, which is concerning. So, I wonder if I'm doing the exercises wrong, if I'm reading the sensations wrong (and that it's *not* IAP I'm feeling) or it *is* IAP, but I just don't need to be concerned with it since I'm on my back in a position where those instances of IAP will not be hernia-promoting ---- or some other explanation.
I haven’t started exercising yet but my inguinal hernia is staying in much longer. I’m doing dry fasting and taking digestive enzymes every hour and once or twice a day I use an inversion table. That’s all I’m doing and today was the best day I’ve had since this began eight months ago.
Mr Hernia It would be so awesome if you could talk us through each exercise, so we are not having to get up and down to watch what you are doing and pause and resume the video. Like a regular yoga class. Appreciate it!!
This is a fit dude who can do sit-ups, so adjust as needed. I can't do the circular legs fully extended, so I keep my knees bent. Would love to hear other adjustments that people make.
When I first started doing these, I couldn't even do one flat let sit up, so I had to use a resistance band to help pull myself up! Now I can do 50 of them no problem without the band.
Basic planking while wearing a right side inguinal groin hernia belt completely solved my issue, and it didn't take long. I started off with doing 5 second planks for 5 to 10 sets. Gradually my holds became longer and the sets were from 3 to 10 depending on how I felt. Now I plank whenever I feel like it all through the day. I no longer wear the belt because I no longer have a hernia issue. Give basic planking a try, it could work for you as well.
Hey George, you're the man. It's amazing what you've done and especially since your inguinal hernia was so large, that gives so many of us hope! You're creating your own path for many others to follow...and we all know natural is always better! Thank you! A question: To begin, did you do the core exercises from your video with your hernia belt on? It appears it's not on you in the video... Also: do you keep your abs/core tight throughout the day? My left inguinal hernia just appeared and it seems hard for me to keep my abs/core tight now...maybe b/c I'm feeling like when I keep it tight, my hernia will pop out more....not sure. Thanks!
Hey Jeremy, Thanks. I do not wear a hernia belt while I do the core exercises. It was stated by the osteopathic doctor who designed the workout back in 1916 not to wear a truss while doing them. I have always had to keep my core tight throughout the day, otherwise I would have kind of a round belly. It's been like that since I was a little kid. I talk about it more in this post that I wrote a while back when I was still trying to figure things out if you'd like to take a look: mynaturalherniacure.com/heal-my-inguinal-hernia/
thank you very much, you give me such a big motivation, already subscribed and i'll start to do this tomorrow morning. thanks again, i'm so glad to find this video

@@randomelvis3359 I have a similar hernia. After 20 minutes of standing I would feel a burning sensation... and very uncomfortable and after a while it was very painful. I purchased Georges hernia truss as soon as it was available last year, and it has literally saved me from a life of torment and pain. I just started doing these exercises for the last week and I am feeling better already. I already have a very clean, mostly vegan diet, gluten free and I hardly ever eat sugar. Because Gluten, meat, sugar and many other foods will cause inflammation in your gut, thus causing swelling and pain. The comfort-truss is amazing! It's very comfortable and works really well. And the exercises really work! I'm giving myself three months to heal this hernia. This method is so much better then any surgery. And his truss is better then anything else on the market. I've tried two others with absolutely zero success. Not to mention they were extremely uncomfortable and caused pain. I can't thank George enough. :)
Some of these exercises seem quite scary and hard for someone with an inguinal hernia, like me. I fear the hernia opening will tear up larger. I wonder if there is a lighter version of these exercises you could start with and then gradually progress into the ones you show here? Anyways, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to provide us with all this information. I'm really scared of getting my hernia operated. Especially the possibility of having a life long chronic pain scares the crap out of me.
I am also scared of the aftermath of surgery, especially when the underlying condition is not fixed by putting some patch on the affected area. If it is any help, in many hernias there is no tear at all. Just an enlargement or dilation of an existing conduit (like the inguinal canal). I don't know what kind of hernia you have, but mine (a right direct inguinal hernia) was in a very bad state and doing the exercises consistently has only made it better and better, to the point that I am now confident that the hernia is going to completely disappear eventually. I am in my fifties and my hernia started in my late thirties. Life got in the way (fatherhood, etc) and I let it get from bad to worse. But now I am determined to make it go, and these exercises have really helped.
Thanks for posting this! I have your belts, which are working very well, but feel I need to incorporate some focused exercises to help heal my hernia. Also, I'm interested in the title of the music or where you got the track you used on the intro of this video? Thanks again for all of your help and knowledge as I'm doing my best to cure my hernia without going under the knife!

After almost 3 weeks doing this routine I can say it works and, besides, I recommend following these tips: -Chew very well your food. -Drink at least 2 liters of liquid. -Eat fiber-rich foods. -Release gas of your stomach as much as possible
You're welcome! NO I do not wear the Comfort-Truss while doing these since I'm on my back the whole time, but I do still wear it while doing any strenuous activities like surfing, motocross, muay thai, etc..
Good afternoon Sir. I just wanted to give you an update. Im sooo gratefull to you Sir. My hernia is slowly receding and thankfully can stay inside the gut area a little longer. Please forgive my ignorant doubts. But i am a believer now. Thank you so much
I also wish to say that the knee Sleeping bag squeezes and leg lifts really seem to help me the most. Im so wearing ankle weights full time now which actually seems to help. Thank you so much
I have pain on right testis and right inguinal canal. But not recognised any lump. I think it is starting stage of hernia. Am I right. I will do this exercises without truss. Simply superb. Thank u
I start to do this exercises and my hernia is more small , but I have little pain , may be because my abdominaux work and make little pressure, I will rest 1 or 2 days and do again
I guided my Mom thru similar exercise routine when I was her full-time caregiver > excited to find the required "real-estate" and begin 🙂 > presently I have no floor space (much less a bed, indoor toilet/shower or running water!). Too bad it's the wrong time of year to simply lie out on the bare ground, lol! I will "do the best I can, where I am with what I've got" - Thank You!
First of all, thanks for the video! When I do core exercises like push-ups or crunches my lower stomach hurts, I have two small inguinal hernias that have only been detected by ultrasound (because they are very small), do you think this could help me?
It would be helpful if you explained in detail how the affected area changed after doing the exercises. I know you said you "bulked up", but exactly what's changed there? Did some muscles elongate, widen, at rest or just when flexed etc.
George, might it make sense to shout out to your audience, asking for someone with the right know-how to create some online database, where we can all report our hernia efforts (surgery, exercises, diet, etc) and our conditions (before, during and after our efforts)? I'm sure that would be super simple for the computer database programmers out there (many of whom likely have APT, and thus hernia) to make, and that repository of data would be an amazing research tool for herniacs and health providers, alike!
can be done via - google Excel spread sheet (online access) You need to create proper sheet though (name, type of hernia etc) and provide a link, so people can add cells...
First of all.... I've been wearing your belt for at least 2 years...I lost track....... it works great.... recently switched to the double and I find it even more supportive and comfortable...I think because the stress of the straps on your upper legs is evenly distributed and also it's a nice even pressure over both sides of the lower abdomen. My question is this...... Do you rest at all between exercises, or do you flow from one to the other with no rest. I look forward to your answer....I just started doing these exercises, and hope to heal my hernia naturally. I don't want surgery.
Thanks. Glad to hear the belt is working well for you! No, I don’t rest in between exercises other than maybe thirty seconds . I just go from one to the next.

Allocai Juwell hii i have one thing to ask should we wear the hernia belt during exercise or all time ?
Thank you for sharing.
Means a lot.
This does not at all sound believable then why are the doctors osteopathy not pushing this?
Dude this seems to be working. Not only that it's shown me how much I've neglected my core strength. Thank you very much!
This is amazing!! I've only done three days of this and I haven't had any issues with my hernia popping out!! I am so grateful. Thank you!!

I think this video is for people who recoverd from hernia by 3 weeks because theirs no way doing this is helping it i recommend asking your doctor what type of exercises you should do.
r these exercises r useful for inguinal hernia
A small, reducible hernia will go back into the abdominal wall. However, hernias tend to worsen and over time - it could be years - the intestinal contents will protrude further through the abdominal wall. I'm willing to give this video a try but am approaching with caution. Your hernia (at least, if it is an inguinal hernia) should pretty much disappear when you lie on your back. If it is small enough, you can push it back when you're taking a shower. Don't assume that doing the exercises once will resolve the problem. Keep watching it. I hope you'll avoid surgery, but stay vigilant.
I’ve been wearing a belt a doing this for about 3 weeks and I’m already seeing improvement! Thank you for sharing this with us.

Salute!
Right on man! Stick with it, and stay calm through the ups and downs. There are bound to be some.

This is working. Lately, right after the workout I feel odd. However, after a day or two of rest I feel so strong in my mid section and my Hernia area has gone down even more. So I’m keeping a small journal on what to expect each time as it helps me to know this IS working! Does anyone else feel this way during the process?
How many days have u started this workout? And how often u do u these exercises?

That’s awesome! Glad to hear you’re making progress.
It’s been 7 months now and I still do the exercises 3 times per week. 30 reps per set. My hernia rarely rears itself any more, maybe once a every other week vs ~100 times per day at the beginning. And, I'm another guy, found your vid, love the silence, and watched. I
got one near my left groin from moving something too heavy almost 5
months ago. Never had a hernia in my life at 65, but there is was. I'd
used forms of MFR to keep the pain and fascia plus muscles relaxed
around it, coping like this for weeks...thank God for learning self MFR
over the past 4-5 years, and not a PT, just aware of options. Adding
some of these exercises to my morning routine, it's only been about two
weeks of doing the reverse swim and leg lifts, plus the turning with
knees together side to side, about 10 reps morning and sometimes before
bed...today I actually mowed my back lawn with a manual mower and
realized when I sat down to check email etc....no pouch at all. I read
your experience with two at one point and thought, what if?
Well....Thank you for shooting, editing and posting this. If they follow

of course they'll be skeptical. I don't have to worry as much about
surgery and the cost of hospitalization to repair, maybe now. That's a

today...and I did work too? Wowser!!! Mind blown but this was early
knowledge, so we all pretty much know what happened to it, until you
researched, and I did find the book online, started reading chapters and
it all made clear sense. Just like using Hydrogen Peroxide in the ear
when flu symptoms first start...to kill the virus inside the ear
wax...I've gotten well numerous times doing this. But my new interest is
now the lowly mushroom, the fungus among us. Seems to have healing
qualities in various varieties. Reishi is the star they promote, but
plain white buttons from the 99 cent, nuked with basil and
garlic...haven't been sick in ages, and no flu shots here. Plant based
works well as baseline nutritional practice. It's how we heal faster, of
course. Take care...reverse swim, it's staying in my morning routine as will the others gradually. Cool vid, BTW
Thank you so much for posting this. I had a very bad experience with a doctor and haven't been back since, although I knew I had a hernia to rectify. These videos have given me hope

Well did hernia go away? Are you OK now?
What death are u serious

@@fishface6247 I still have it but it was because I didn't stick to doing the exercises. I'm back at it again and I have seen a LOT of improvement. Can this cure hernia?
Does it work
dOES THIS WOKR?
Hope this helps someone!
awesome!
What's the soccer ball squeeze?
I´m curious too about the soccer ball thing is it like the pillow one but sitting or do you perform it lying down?

Did this cure your hernia ?
I took the time to search about healing because I couldn't believe nothing can be done .
Thanks for this.

How many years do you have a hernia?
@Ash Muntz how are you now? do you still feel the pain of surgery? did you get meshed? how does it feel
I am going to try it! I moved to the Netherlands, and as it is almost impossible to book a GP, it is better to start by myself.
I would think doing it the way the 1916 text would be better...buy a bench one would see in a gym...
My understanding is that:
a) workouts that workout the rectus abdominus (i.e. crunches & situps) - and maybe workouts that workout obliques - are also doing or causing something that causes potentially hernia-promoting intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) AND/OR
b) strengthening the rectus abdominus (and maybe obliques?) is not good because THOSE muscles contribute to potentially hernia-promoting IAP.
Nice 👍
Mr Hernia It would be so awesome if you could talk us through each exercise, so we are not having to get up and down to watch what you are doing and pause and resume the video. Like a regular yoga class. Appreciate it!!
Great suggestion!
How is your hernia now friend?
Basic planking while wearing a right side inguinal groin hernia belt completely solved my issue, and it didn't take long. I started off with doing 5 second planks for 5 to 10 sets. Gradually my holds became longer and the sets were from 3 to 10 depending on how I felt. Now I plank whenever I feel like it all through the day. I no longer wear the belt because I no longer have a hernia issue. Give basic planking a try, it could work for you as well.
What kind of plank sir...
Can you explain?

How is your hernia now ? Is it still gone and hernia belt and planking was your solution. I am considering trying this !
I'll try these exercises out. I recently developed a groin hernia but can't afford surgery.

Is that true???
Tell me what r the major symtems of ingunal herniya ...please

I think I got inguinal hernia due to anxiety and stress in corona time. . is it for u and every body.
Me too 😔
Same here
Wouldn't it create more stressonthose muscles
It would be helpful if you explained in detail how the affected area changed after doing the exercises. I know you said you "bulked up", but exactly what's changed there? Did some muscles elongate, widen, at rest or just when flexed etc.
So you're a fraud. You didn't actually heal it. Got it.
George, might it make sense to shout out to your audience, asking for someone with the right know-how to create some online database, where we can all report our hernia efforts (surgery, exercises, diet, etc) and our conditions (before, during and after our efforts)?
I'm sure that would be super simple for the computer database programmers out there (many of whom likely have APT, and thus hernia) to make, and that repository of data would be an amazing research tool for herniacs and health providers, alike!
can be done via - google Excel spread sheet (online access)
You need to create proper sheet though (name, type of hernia etc) and provide a link, so people can add cells...
