- Patching this to that. Turning all knobs a little. Playing the 'keyboard'.
I release music under the name POSH OKAPI. It's available on all major streaming platforms.
This is my first attempt to modular synthesis so far. And it's fun. But I also start to recognize that with every new patch I make I end up with more or less the same sound. Not sure if it's me or volca.
Has such an exotic sound. I want to wake up my house hold with this every morning (3 am in the morning)
powerful sounds
I think your point about it sounding the same is maybe down to the reverb. Seeing as it’s a very “characterised” reverb (as I’d put it), I think if you use it on each patch it’ll always have that metallic sound, leading to everything having that similar sound. Maybe try it with some external reverbs as well just to break away from that preset sound
Good point. As an example, I often pair the Korg Volca Bass with the Korg Kaoss Pad Mini 2S. With its range of different delays, reverbs and other effects I get a wild and wide ranging sound palette. Small, battery powered, and relatively inexpensive, it pairs well with any of my Volcas. I'm sure the Modular would be no exception.
@@SyncdAlien at first I expected more creativeness, but yeah, it's a metall-sounding music box with reverb for making horror movie OST's
Thank you! I just got my volca and was not feeling well about it, this video proved me wrong! thanks!
