Transitioning from a house to an RV wasn't just about a change of scenery, but a profound shift in lifestyle. Over six weeks, I lived in various campgrounds, adapting to my new environment. This period was challenging due to withdrawal symptoms from a medication, impacting both my mental and physical health. These videos document the struggles and triumphs, offering insights for anyone facing similar challenges. Watch as I navigate through this tumultuous phase to establish a new normal.
Each episode in this playlist delves into the everyday realities of adjusting to RV life-from learning to manage space and resources, to coping with the physical and emotional challenges of a significant lifestyle change. 🔗 CHAPTER 3: THE PAUSE: • Chapter 3: The Pause
During this phase of my journey, I set down temporary roots at a CoE campground for up to ninety days. I'll move around to different campsites due to availability, focus on the day-to-day tasks of living in an RV, plan the next leg of my journey (a 2,000 mile pilgrimage to Nevada to do some stargazing), and focus on improving my RUclips channels in the hope it will lead to at least some level of revenue to help me continue funding my new lifestyle.
While I may not be traveling in my RV during this time, I'll still need to manage my storage tanks and propane, do some maintenance to the RV, and settle into a routine so that my life has a sense of normalcy amidst the nomadic nature of living in a motorhome.
I call this phase "The Pause" because I've gone through both the preparation and the transition periods of RV life and now I'm taking a break to get more comfortable with the lifestyle, assess my progress, and set new goals.

Looking ahead, join me as I embark on "The Pilgrimage" - a 2,000-mile trek to Nevada for some of the best stargazing in the country. My philosophy is that you can't truly connect with people if you don't share your authentic self with them, so thank you. If you're less than that, you are connecting with a phantom, or a false image. And if you can connect from the heart, then you can find your people.
The Land Before Time!! One of my all time favorites! The salamander I had in middle school was named Little Foot after that movie! Man I really pity the generation after ours because we truly got all the good stuff.
I first started watching you when I decided to get a class C and hit the road with my pups. But I recently learned that unfortunately it'll be a while before I'm able to do that. Even though I've not yet started my journey, I continue to watch your videos because (in the most basic terms) you have good energy and you're easy to watch, and I always learn something new (like even this video - I learned about the gap in the bed). I like that we get to see the genuine ups & downs about RVing solo and the emotional/mental journey that goes with it.
It seems like this type of video journaling is cathartic for you. I think you should keep it up! And if you get to the point of not wanting to post anymore, you could always just continue to record but skip the posting part. Either way it is beneficial for you to get it all out!

I thought - maybe I could sleep the opposite way so most of my body is on the same piece of wood! I absolutely have to solve this because it's genuinely bad for your body!

They won't all be like this. It's because of the direction my bed is facing. If you can find one where the bed isn't part of the slide mechanism, I think that would be best.
So this got me thinking: the main thing I'd hoped people learned in this video was the importance of making the place feel more like a home than I place you live in. Without those personal touches, it can make you feel unmoored to an even greater extent, and it could make you feel less comfortable with your daily life. I think I'm not very good at expressing myself. 😂❤️

He really does! I'd say that's probably 80% of how loud he can get. There are times he puts so much breath into purring that his whole body vibrates. 😂 ❤️

Is there any way you could put something under the not-level end of the bed to make it more level? I know damn well those slides are going to get me again here (lmao), but you could always pull whatever it is out when it’s time to travel. I have a pillow under the head of the bed on my side because my neck needs just a little more height. Something like that, is my thought. Easy (ish) to put in and remove but levels the bed.
