I’m playing FO4 right now too, with about 30 mods on the Series X it’s pretty sick. I’ve done the full conversion mods on pc too, those are nuts 🥜

I played starfield for 30 minutes, cut it off, and never opened the game again.
How far did you all get in the game? I stuck with it for the Terrormorph and Pirates story, then hit NG. Uninstalled the damn game and never felt the need to touch it again
Starfield doesn't have mods because the creation kit hasn't been dropped. The reason these issues haven't been fixed isn't because it's impossible. Skyrim, Oblivion, etc, have the open cities mods which reduce load screens. The biggest thing that will push mods is time and more support.
1. Yes, it's really watered down. Yes, Bethesda should REALLY start listening to people and make their games less damn approachable and more "RPG" with tough decisions, less "floaty" character traits, and really need to start giving their now older player base more credit.
2. With all the Internet's endless whining I still enjoyed my first playthrough immensely, 30 FPS warts and all, and that was just ticking all the "quests" boxes until the end of the ride about 120 hours in. I tried it again after the patch, this time I'm mostly ignoring the quest marker and just exploring planets, scanning, gathering, fighting alien monsters that kill me in 1 hit (Extreme damage to enemies) and I'm having even MORE fun than I did in the first playthrough. It's really fun.
3. "Rotten" Shmotten, you're not a Bethesda fan. Just another dime a dozen hater. I can't wait to come back to my Xbox after a long hard day at work again, and no other type of game does that. If you can't see fun where it's at, that's a YOU problem. Have fun whining with the rest of 'em.
Oh, and I've noticed you're now praising FO4 over Starfield in other comments - FO4 got SOO much criticism on exactly the same things you're now whining about in Starfield. FO4 is basically a much more limited Starfield. With VATS. And mods. Starfield will be the same with mods as well, and you'l probably be praising it over the next title years from now when it releases, "Bethesda fan".
The first mod I installed in Starfield was "skip dialogue", I couldn't stand the terrible boss babe dialogue/banter, I uninstalled starfield about halfway. I noticed a striking resemblance between Starfield's story to Vernor Vinge - "A Fire Upon The Deep" scifi book, even the ascension ring diagrams are identical, its a pity that whomever plagiarised the book didn't go the whole hog and copy the great alliens, story, dialogue, characters, etc. (Allegedly plagiarise).
Do you use nexus or manually install?
@@GamerHeavenOfficial @GamerHeavenOfficial manual install, butt, there's always a butt, it did create endings and paths of progressions which were "interesting", but that was far more acceptable than enduring the hogwash of their dialogue, it made for a spontaneously amusing game, far more amusing than the original game.
starfield felt like an early access game but it cost 70$... bethesda sucks now
I’ve seen it on sale a lot on steam and of course there’s the gamepass option, I would be reluctant to pay $70 for Starfield.

I gotta disagree cuh. Bethesda should focus on making nothing but TES and their other IPs and leave Fallout alone.
The Fallout setting is great which elevates the BGS formula past where it should be, but they've also completely butchered that setting and radically changed the core of what the games are. And im not talking about first person open world per se. New Vegas shows you can put a Fallout game in that style and make it work. Im talking about the whole looter shooter with lackluster role playing mechanics + Bethesda's continued murder of the setting.
Also I think they could make Starfield incredibly enjoyable for their core fan base if they improve planet exploration just a tinge. More reasons to go to planets, more things to see on them, and more loot would do the game wonders. They've proven they're incapable of making a Fallout game that the core Fallout fans enjoy (both old school and the NV crew). Once Starfield gets its DLCs and full mod support, I think it'll really satisfy BGS fans. It's an incredibly open canvas for the type of time wasting stuff BGS fans love.
I think fallout 4 is the greatest game ever made. and I reluctantly like Beths other titles. I think SF was rushed at the end. I think ms got tired of waiting for them to shit or get off the pot. I think they had even intention of maps vehicles etc. but was rushed through the last year of development. which resulted in a bland empty clumsy buggy boring game. pretty disappointing. maybe it'll be like their other titles, give them 10 yrs to fix things and add on stuff & it'll be great. by the time I retire I might get to play the next fallout....their not a fast studio.
As a huge fallout 4 fan whenever I see someone equally jerking its digital weiner I get excited 😆 .

I played StarField a lot when it first dropped. I had a lot of fun but once I beat the game I couldn't go threw the game plus. Sadly I never picked up the game again.

This game is just minimal garbage over hyped by Bethesda. Who the F decided they didn't need a map or inventory management and we would enjoy exploring millions of minecraft generated nothing chunks with 1 of 3 pre determined enemies?
I played Starfield for about 5 hours and couldn't get back to it. It's not a bad game, but it isn't a good game either.
Well said. I gave it a 7.5 in my initial review, now it’d be like a 6.5 which is still an above average/enjoyable game

Hot take, Bethesda knew years ago Starfield was doomed, and decide to sell the company to keep from suffering from the upcoming negative performance/perception and consequences.
Truth hence they made Redfall to artificially increase their value.
I prepaid the first DLC and still won't touch this shit again. Played about ten days and completely lost interest.
They say Xbox tax but it's more like Xbox effect as everything they touch goes sour.

Starfield is amazing, that´s the only word I can use to describe how they managed to make the core idea of interstellar AND interdimensional travel so boring.
A couple of quests had some interesting ideas but it drowned in the vast mediocracy.
I tried Starfield on Gamepass and about 5-6hours(loading screens included) in I could not take it anymore and uninstalled. So damn boring. Todd Howard and his Walmart special leather jacket is the used car salesman of gaming.
The only good thing about starfield was it made me re-install fallout 4. I knew it would flop as soon as I heard procedural generation instead of a finely crafted world.
So sad, they just skinned the Fallout engine it seems :-D
They need to be diligent like Take Two and Rockstar and now CD Projekt Red with Cyberpunk 2077/

Completely agree. It's the old tech. Somewhere at the very start, when the game was just a glimmer in the eye of Todd "It just Works" Howard, someone should've had the guts to say: "Todd, our tech is not up to the task of creating a game that is meant to be a supposed open world scifi game."
Nobody did, so Starfield got made.
The title alone is so misleading. It invokes space exploration, which the game has not, because it cannot have it due to the old tech.
But at least then it's got this cool mix of horror and sarcastic humour the Fallout games had, right? Nope, it takes itself very seriously. But it got that sense of exploration and telling stories through the environemtn, right? Nope, it's too big yet too empty.
They threw everything overboard that Bethesda was ever good at. It's sad really.
PS: But I'm still impressed that The Howard actually sold it so well for a third time after Fallout 4 and 76. It's like the dude cannot be honest or modest, yet his ability to hype people always comes through. I was ready to believe, AGAIN! xD
Bro where is the fucking armor in game? Like seriously no customization for literally anything you can wear or look like.
And what is with the hideous bright red colors they slapped over the top of the beautiful concept art. They added VIVID color customization to the ships; seriously what kept them from doing it across the board? Or even adding one LITERALLY JUST ONE skin or added utility looking item to put on any of the armor sets it would be fine. But no. No visual difference between your character in a spacesuit, vs EVERY other character in the game if they wear the same suit. Stupid. At least in Skyrim and fallout there was mixing and matching beyond “helmet, suit, pack” so you could get your character to look semi unique in game.
Best character creator ever made in any of their games, worst armor and weapon selection of any of their games.
And yea you could argue the Starborn suits are the unique bit, but should I really have to go through my entire play through looking like every other generic npc wearing the same armor ALL THE WAY UNTIL I BEAT THE GAME?????? Stupid.
I think if bethesda puts the same amount of effort into starfield, like they did with fallout 76, it might be worth something, but I agree, if the core isn't that great there's only so much that can be done. Buuut, going to be looking forward to that fo4 playthrough.
76 has been getting a ton of love recently, update and content wise
