Sure, there are those lanterns with USB ports actually utilizing a dropper cap. Big Clive had one. The point to point wiring kinda gives it away though, PCB is cheaper in mass production.
I think it was Big Clive who once took a lantern including a USB charge port that actually used a capacitor dropper apart... The point to point wiring is almost more curious, as it really would slow down the assembly process, PCB is cheaper in mass production.
i use the fanuc eoat system for killing adaptors that have tingling feeling. just setting the tool length to 1 meters instead of standard and now it goes into the bosch exturded aluminium profile!! just need to set payload to less than 0.4 kg for lr mate 200id for it to not crash entirely into the profile bed!! it may be also good idea to set the inertial values but if you dont have payload checker bought then you may skip it!
I really like the 220V version. I'd expect an industrial version with 3-phase 380V supply. After all USB has 4 pins, so it's perfect for 3 phases and a neutral. (grounding in important so ground will be connected to the usb socket external metallic part)
the charger will reduce the human population if the case is metallic and the ground is connected to the case, in the future we will use less energy because of this design
When I saw how it behaved I was like: Oh please don't tell me it's a capacitor dropper. And yes it is. It drops capacitors to the ground because when you touch it, you fall to the ground and rip out the charger with the capacitors in it.
The strange thing is that actual modern supplies are sometimes more efficient than the "eco" model. Its idle consumption is around 0.6W and its efficiency under load is limited to ~80% by the silicon diodes in the rectifier.
I did smile but it's actually a sad state of affairs that there have been so many bad chargers autopsied in past videos that I thought the first charger was for real... I was fully expecting a circuit diagram and only realised it was an April fool when the second one was pulled apart.
Hehe, nice Idea. I'd expect you "test" the second Direct-Line-adapter with your extension cord, but hidden DC-powered. Amps, amps, amps and adding USB-Hubs, overloaded testers, an melting USB-cable ;-)
Thank you for this very interesting video. I have recreated the second charger. Super efficient and very short charging times. When charging, I recommend having a fire extinguisher nearby and wearing ear protection, protective clothing and safety glasses to avoid any danger from the side effects of super-fast charging. A small inconvenience that I would like to mention is that each phone can only be charged once during its lifespan, which ends immediately after charging. 🤣😂🤣
Pekný aprílový žartík. Inak čakal som že tá druhá nabíjačka bude mať ten USB port pripojený priamo na sieťové napätie, lebo ešte pred tým ako si ju rozobral si vravel o jej vysokom výkone a účinnosti a už vtedy som vedel že ide o žart.
Actually the first one probably could be ordered from China like that directly (instead of using a SMPS they using a dropper capacitor). The second one is of course the ultra high power premium edition it gives as much power as the MCB gives, lol. You are amazing 🤩😎😎😎👏👏👏👍👍👍
I recognised your soldering in the first supply! thats when I thought ' this video is going a bit Dodgy ' I bet he's up to something as I remembered the date. The politician version gets ' NICE ! ' from me ....cheers.
Great design, no switching transistor means no problem with RFI at all. Maybe this charger is even better than my old-fashioned charger with magnetic transformer and good old 7805 at producing no radio interference 😁😇
Good one. That first one actually had me believing someone from China would do that. Then the second one, 😅😅😅. Reminds me when I learned I could make a path from mains through USB on my PC to my oscilloscope (working on variac) back to mains. Lost the scope, lost the PC, the variac endured....
Nice one Dan, the first charger is believable.
Yes, it took me a while to realize it couldn’t be real, whereas the second one was obvious.
Is Dan his real name?
Sure, there are those lanterns with USB ports actually utilizing a dropper cap. Big Clive had one. The point to point wiring kinda gives it away though, PCB is cheaper in mass production.
@@sakurojason Danyk
@@gytax01 I didn’t know his real name. Thanks ^w^
Don't give the dodgy Chinese engineers ideas, they'll probably think this is a great new way to make a phone charger!
I like how this is an April Fools video but it also works as a critic for stupid enviromental norms
I like the second one. Super simple, reliable design.
With some twisted cables, in order "to reduce electromagnetic interference."
And it supplies tons of power!
"The design is very human"
The charger with the highest power rating i've seen.
You probably mean "sustainable" ;)
Jokes on you.... i am assembling some of the 2nd type to replace in the lobby where our politicians meet
I miss the CE sign on both. Otherwise ready for mass production.
CE = China Export
china export
Nice april fool video

I thought this video was serious until I saw inside the 2nd charger 🤣🤣🤣
@agustinusreynaldi7101 At this moment, I thought he was only making stupid jokes for fun but the video was actually real
I actually think the "Ultra bloody dodgy" should be made an official grade for your regular charger tests :)
This is the future. I can hear the Chinese factories starting up a new manufacturing line as we speak!
This is the most hilarious video of this series, good jokes 😂
I was believing the first charger, not gonna lie
😂😂
@@AllLoudNation365 Oh look who's here 😂
Yep. It's me lmao

2:20 I'M FVCKING DYING!!! 😂
Thanks
The wonders of Czechnology never ceases to amaze me. What a time to be alive!
As soon as I saw the second one come apart, I figured it out. Good one!
the second charger seems like a great april fool idea - make that and give it to your mother in law as a great april fool joke 🤩
"It will be the last joke that fools her tho..." . . . . *BZZzzzzzT* . . 💀
then buy her a new phone, and new bypass 🤣
My Mother in Law is already dead, so...
I love how he looked in the 2nd one and did his usual routine and when he talked about the primary and secondary insulation
The best way to reduce energy consumption is to buy a new phone every time it discharges
It's designed to reduce amount of human on the Earth.

1:30 The solder joints have betrayed you. 😂
Wow, I'm impressed by the quality of these charger, looks so premium already, the components inside are also the best ones ever made!
You know, you could have a capacitive dropper from mains that is safe to touch if you use a pair of class Y safety caps driven at high frequency.
Yes, but once you add an inverter is it really a capacitive dropper anymore?
I built the second one on my bread board and I got 16A. I could even drive my wife’s hair dryer with it. Very usefool, thanks!
😂😂😂😂😂

Energy-saving by ensuring your devices will never need another charge and also giving you a chance of never needing anything again! Perfect!
The ultrafast one has a bigger, industrial version. Ultrafast+ uses 3 phases.
Let's be honest, the video thumbnail got us all
my diodes gone wild after using the last charger , i agree that politicians makes us april fools everyday of the month
I'm surprised the first one worked at all, considering how little current it produced. It's cool to see the lengths you go to for our entertainment.
That was Good. I needed that.
I have already copied the designs and ordered 1000 units of each from a Chinese manufacturer.
I plan on flooding eBay with these by later this week.
I did smile but it's actually a sad state of affairs that there have been so many bad chargers autopsied in past videos that I thought the first charger was for real... I was fully expecting a circuit diagram and only realised it was an April fool when the second one was pulled apart.
This is the best video of its type that I've seen! Thanks.
Danke! Thanks!
Nice joke..XD

That was horrifying 💀
my soul slightly came out
When i see The length of video 4 minutes instead of 24 minutes ,,i Immediately knew whats coming 😂😂😂👍👍
As you moved the second one about I saw the glimmer of a part number, I think it was APR1-24
This is the first dropping capacitor charger I seen😂😂💀
I won't buy cheap chargers any more without seeing a positive disassembly and analysis experience. Too many dangerous ones out here.
The second one, nice phone killer 😂
Nice killer project u can add a 12v zener and a slide switch to select quick charge.
The capacitor dropper in the first one with the "naaaiice" made me jump 😂😂😂

Don't knock the good old capacitive dropper circuit. As dangerous as it is, it still has its place if used correctly. The simplicity is legendary 😊😉👍
The first charger was what i was looking forward to see😂😂 danyk
Love the eco one you made🙂😜

Excuse me, but your fire extinguisher looks sewper-dodgyyyyyyyyyy. I had a damn good laugh!
Nice video! You made my day! Keep up the good work.
Yeah, that's the best april fools joke i've ever seen. Cheers!
Nice one...Just cottoned on about 5 seconds before the big reveal.
The second one should work well for USB powered heaters.
the best video ever I seen in your channel
Wow direct mains . This is super charged charger that can blow up your phone and burn down house and send you into afterlife
Only for politicians! 😁
That's not even a USB, but the widely used RS-230 protocol
I was waiting for a test with the second one 😀
Great design, no switching transistor means no problem with RFI at all. Maybe this charger is even better than my old-fashioned charger with magnetic transformer and good old 7805 at producing no radio interference 😁😇
Eco Friendly.....where can i Buy?
Great joke, on the first one you got me 😂
Best april 1st this year 😁
Only selling one of those things on April fools day 😂
Well, the second model will be useful for owners of the next generation of USB powered electric cars 😉
Houses in the USA already have walls made of cardboard. You've probably seen films where someone punches the wall and it makes a hole.
The mains comes in here and goes straight to the usb port.🤣 everything seems good
Where do I buy those????
Great, thank you so much for these funny moments 😂😂👍👍
Both are still more accurate than CNN news!
Hello from France, despite your humorous side, you sent a message with a lot of intelligence, well done. 👍
Bro made my day ☠️
you're definitely kidding us! ) thank you 💚🔥
Nice work for April.....
Can you give me a link to those chargers?
hey can you make a series about dangerous power supply?
the first one got me in pain, the second one made me whine and cry lmaoooo
Happy April Fools! :D
Good April fool gag.
I do see many circuits all set around the totally non isolated dropper capacitor kind. I usually flag them as deadly.
I like the fire extinguisher 😅
where can we order them? link please
It took me way too long to realize what day it is. :D
Here in Argentina we're not into April fool's day, so I was totally fooled. You succeed xD
Big thank you for funny april fools 🤩
I expected them to get a rating of Nice, considering how many goals were met
Day 5 of asking to build a drsstc or a vttc, pls👍
Love your videos
Wow a circuit less charger , is it year 3014 ??😮😮😮
L1 on + and L2 on -
Mega ultra PD charging, what a shocker :O
I fell for the first one - hook, line and sinker
Now build an oldschool style usb charger with a real transformer in it.
The design is very human
5volts lead acid battery needs the first charger 😅
Aww, I wanted to see the ultrafast one do its' thing... :P
Unlimited power ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

I like to think that they were both designed by your cat, as revenge for not providing enough treats and chin tickles.
I thought the first one was relying on capacitive dropper! Nice video though!
