  • Not many people are kidnapped twice in conflict zones, awarded a MacArthur Genius Grant and have Jennifer Lawrence playing them in their biopic…But, nobody else is Lynsey Addario. We sit down with the photographer and New York Times bestseller, well known for covering some of the toughest contemporary topics, to talk life, death and journalistic truth in a time of Trump.

@@grungeisdead9541 Fentanyl is a powerful opioid used for pain and surgery. It comes in many forms, mostly transdermal patches for skin use, but it is also made into lollipops because the walls of your mouth are really good at absorbing fentanyl fast. In the picture, the army men have seemingly been shot or injured and have been given fentanyl lollipops. One has one in his mouth and one has one in the background. You can tell it is a fentanyl lollipop because the stick coming off of it has a wider cylinder at the distal end.

I would love to be an investigative reporter or a war correspondent but I'm way too high maintenance to be kidnapped. I would die after the first night if the kidnappers didn't already kill me..

I just turned 18 and I want to be a vice reporter and make documentaries on stuff. For example the “Actavisa” Mexican lean interview video got no info but I got knowledge of a lot due to my past. I’ve changed now but I’d hate for all the dumb things I did, learned, and experienced to be for nothing. Hire me plz I’m in Culver City CA lol

She mentioned that she had an issue with editors who didn’t want to send her out because for the reason that she’s a woman/mother/age/pregnant. So she obviously advocated for herself to go on that assignment.

I stumbled on this interview. I saw many freelance journalists during my time in Iraq and Afghanistan. I always tell them "We're not the ones going to rescue you if you get into trouble. That's the 'D' boys or 'Tier 1' guys job, not ours..." D boys are USSF Delta or Tier 1, the Navy's SEAL Teams. I was right 50% of the time... Many were kidnapped and only half were rescued or 'recovered.'

Going to a war zone while pregnant is beyond negligent. No way her husband was okay with that..
