I had my tappet cover swapped by a shop because it had a bad leak. They installed a billet cover.
Now my truck makes this annoying humming noise that I know is for sure coming from that area by the injector lines but the shop is throwing their hands up saying they donβt know where that noise is coming from.
Any ideas what it might be? The noise gets louder as I step on the gas but doesnβt seem to affect the truck.
If they put a cheap tappet cover on chances are they never clearanced the vp44 bracket or the lines are vibrating from a holder not being in the right spot or loose
I just got done putting my cover on but I don't have no throttle it's hooked up I can move the throttle but it's not responding when it try to start what would cause that
Could be a computer issue. Is the actual sensors plugged in? Could unplug the battery for a few moments to let everything reset
Where can I get that gear puller
Just Amazon or any basic website on Google
Your tapper cover didnβt have a rubber seal gasket. It should.
It did have a seal I must have just not show it in the video. The cover itself was very warped tho
Sucks that you are selling or trading the truck on marketplace but I think itβs time for some different content
Yeah the trucks just too expensive. Iβve spent more money and time then I have with anything else, with this truck and itβs still not what I want and itβs still just an old jalopy. Iβm mixed on what exactly Iβm doing next still but either way itβll be interesting
@@RightFootRacing itβs an old 2nd gen so there always gonna need work but either way whenever you get a new set of wheels itβs interesting and Iβm lookin forward for some different content of a different vehicle keep up the good work budπ€π»
Yeah for sure but more work then I expected. Iβm not sure if Iβll make a video talking about it but I added up all the parts Iβve put on this truck in the past year and a half that Iβve owned it and itβs all added up pretty fast. Basically got a rough estimate of $18,000 in parts haha most of which werenβt even performance parts really. I wouldnβt be suprised if it took another $5k without hesitation and even tho I realized way too late, itβs a slippery slope and I wanna get away from it now haha. No matter what we get tho there will be a lot of the way! I appreciate itππ»ππ»π€π»π€π»
@@RightFootRacing for sure man thatβs way to much money for a truck thatβs really not worth it but it had a good run for over a year that youβve had it
Yeah thatβs too much money for damn near anything to me. Especially considering itβs just an old tired dodge haha but I have enjoyed it and it was a fun truck while we had it. We will be into something new soon!
