The difference between the the two models has nothing to do with engraving, as both had enhanced receiver engraving options in the past. The fundamental difference between the Model 1100 and the model 11-87 was one thing and that is different gas systems. The 11-87 was designed to shoot 2 3/4” or 3” shotshells interchangeably and with no modifications. The 1100 could only cycle one size.

I have a Sportsman 12 Auto, which, from my understanding, is an 1100 with cheaper wood. I believe it’s the precursor to the 1187.

I had an 11-87. Too heavy to be a practical hunting gun.

The reason 2A is in trouble is because people don't evoke the immorality of someone taking some else rights. If your not pushing
forward you are falling backwards. The only talking point is ALL GUN LAWS ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
First - Your rights do not come from the government. Your rights come from natural law or GOD whatever your beliefs are.
NOT THE GOVERNMENT per the founding fathers and all founding documents. Government’s job is to protect your rights, not remove them.
Second - Congress, a state, local , or a President can not write rules, regulations or laws that supersede the
Constitution. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Any law that limits this right is an infringement.

what in the world would you be shooting at 100 yards with your shotgun?

    • @maxj3828

Deer & blk bear. In some states/ counties it's shotgun only for big game hunting. I deer hunt with a shotgun and a 1oz slug because my county is shotgun only.

As a bird gun, the 11-87 is not even in the same ballpark as the pre 87 model 1100s.
The balance is just not there.
The same holds true for the 870 Wingmaster and the Express

The 1100 as far as I know doesn’t except chokes. At least mine isn’t threaded for chokes. I believe there was supposed to be another barrel but I inherited mine also. The barrel that was in mine was a 30” with an integral full choke

@@roosterboy7357 the later model 1100s (mid 80s and above) were available with RemChoke tubes.
The 60s, 70s, and early 80s models were fixed choke. As were most shotguns of the time.

    • @livewithnick
      @livewithnick Год назад +1

No it definitely wasn't a comedian.... However 1100's in later years did come with choke tubes and they all came with fixed chokes unless it was cylinder bore. Maybe you should learn what you're talking about before you jump on somebody else?
