OMG!!, your collection is fenominal, my wife and I were raised on this music and there is 9 years between us!!, we LOVE you and what you provide all of everyone. Please keep grooving.
Love the music Motown, Blues and than Disco came in was my generation. We had the generation of boomers to booming music. You and your family are the best music to find on RUclips, people get tired of nothing but search and you got it all.
Love this Motown music! It's taking me back in time to good memories! You do such a wonderful job of putting great music together! Thank you so much!😍❤👍❤️🤙✌️🤩🎶
Here is the list of songs for this playlist: 00:15 I Heard It Through The Grapevine-Marvin Gaye (Released 30 October 1968 Peaked at #1 14 December 1968) Original version was performed by Gladys Knight & The Pips in 1967 and peaked at #2. Motown had two artists perform the same song in consecutive years and one peaked at #2 and one peaked at #1, not bad. 03:27 I Want You Back-The Jackson 5 (Released 6 October 1969 Peaked at #1 31 January 1970) 06:14 Shotgun-Jr. Walker & The All Stars (Released 13 February 1965 Peaked at #4 3 April 1965) 09:13 Back In My Arms Again-Diana Ross & The Supremes (Released 15 April 1965 Peaked at #1 12 June 1965) 12:02 I Second That Emotion-William "Smokey" Robinson & The Miracles (Released 19 October 1967 Peaked at #4 16 December 1967) 14:45 The Same Old Song-The Four Tops (Released 9 July 1965 Peaked at #5 28 August 1965) 17:30 Jimmy Mack-Martha & The Vandellas (Released 3 February 1967 Peaked at #10 15 April 1967) 20:16 Uptight Everything's Alright-Stevie Wonder (Released 22 November 1965 Peaked at #3 12 February 1966) 23:05 Money That's What I Want-Barrett Strong (Released August 1959 Peaked at #23 1960) 25:40 Get Ready-The Temptations (Released 7 February 1966 Peaked at #29 1966) 28:16 Going To A Go Go-William "Smokey" Robinson & The Miracles (Released 1 November 1965 Peaked at #11 1966) 30:59 Dancing In The Street-Martha & The Vandellas (Released 31 July 1964 Peaked at #2 17 October 1964) 33:28 It Takes Two-Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston (Released 4 December 1966 Peaked at #14 1967) 36:20 Rockin' Robin-Michael Jackson (Released February 1972 Peaked at #2 22 April 1972) 38:49 Mickey's Monkey-William "Smokey" Robinson & The Miracles (Released 26 July 1963 Peaked at #8 21 September 1963) 41:35 You Can't Hurry Love-Diana Ross & The Supremes (Released 25 July 1966 Peaked at #1 10 September 1966) 44:14 I Wish It Would Rain-The Temptations (Released 21 December 1967 Peaked at #4 17 February 1968) I LOVE Motown. This is a platinum playlist. When you have the likes of William "Smokey" Robinson and Stevie Wonder two of the most prolific singer/songwriters of all time and Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard a.k.a. The Supremes who seemingly ever time they opened their mouths to sing, what comes out is either pure gold or platinum, and all the other awesome talent listed above, that's special. In my opinion The Supremes were the best girl group EVER and they sure have the credentials to back that statement up.
KOMA in Oklahoma City spun the Motown songs for me on the AM station that played all night while we slept on the farm as kids back in '68. EVERY single one firmly lodged in my mind, making the 5th Dimension's our first album. Sending that love right back to you and yours!
Born in Detroit in the 60's and all I got exposed to until the late 70's was Stones, Beatles and 50's "white" music while playing on the pool table in our basement with my dad. So glad that as I grew older, I really expanded my thoughts to other things and other music. My brother was HUGE in introducing me to Motown, Rush and 80's alternative. Because of my dad and my brother, I really enjoy a wide variety of music. Over the years, I've really moved to the metal(old Metallica, Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse...) and punk side(Dropkick Murphies, Social Distortion...) but I love kicking back with this! Thanks Z-Bear!
One of my heroes played bass on about 90% of these songs the great James Jamerson. Bob Babbit played on a lot of Stevie Wonder and also played on Tears of a Clown, and Wilton Felder who was a sax player played the great bass line on The Jackson 5 I want you Back......sorry with all the bass talk, I get carried away sometimes.
when i dont feel like spinning the vinyl I kick back with a beer and listin to your channel great music Love Motown and the 60s and 70s best years in music
Love listening to you!!! Keeps me up all night but love the feeling of being young again. It really takes me all the way back to the good old days. Keep on grooving!!! I wish I were on the islands!!!!
@@VillaVybes Besides the great music selection you play the best thing sadly comes at the end. You have a beautiful smile. Your face lights up! You should wear it more often. I'm hooked on Villa Vybes Vinyl!!!!
IAM thinking the Hilton/ it might be to hard on you in the bush? They have a nice spread all day/ water bedding. They know me. IAM not allowed back at the Sunset Motel in Murphy, NC for stealing toilet paper to wipe off my size 13 mountain boots. It rained for 40 days straight and everything got wet and slippery. Do you like Slippery Nipples? I was a Professional Artist/ Bartender my whole life, just saying. So is it just Johnny Walker Red or Black for you? The whole McAllister thingy? Are you an angry drunk or just as beautiful as you are on the outside? IAM getting better better at this bs, what say you?
Good vibrations aid Mother Earth and that’s what your channel is all about. This is gonna get kind of technical in my rudimentary way of asking questions, but do you equalize certain mono records in the set up you have to give a stereo effect on songs, or are all the records you own already stereo mixes? Just curious.
Great question actually. It really depends on what version we get our hands on. We don't equalize or change the sound of the records. We keep them pure. Some are Mono, some are Stereo and some of the ones I think you are referring to are Simulated Stereo which basically means the record company took a Mono recording and used studio trickery to make it sound like there are two distinct channels.
A-ha, interesting. All I know for sure is that the stereo version of Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Darling Be Home Soon” is the worst. Mono all the way. Anyway, keep up the great tunes!
Amazing, wonderful, what atmosphere caused this music ,with its characteristic sound almost touching the saturation of the speaker, that good old times .
Your album cuts are awsome. I was a D.J. back in the 70s. THE BIRD W.X.L.T. out of Woodstock ILL. Had alot of listeners, I can see you do as well.Try some requests you'll be surprised the hits you get. Devote one day out of the month to it. You'll find out how many listeners you really have. Music is the universal language,Z-Bears got that. Keep spinning them gathering more fans like me.
I used to like The Big Chill Soundtrack for “Whiter Shade Of Pale”. I know it’s not Motown, but I’m deathly curious to see how one would go about dancing to “Whiter Shade Of Pale”. lol
