After a few years of listening to the Band Maid catalog extensively I believe this to be Band Maid's most underrated song. A brilliant composition and enjoyable listen even after hearing it thousands of times. Just my humble opinion. 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂

One of their more underrated tracks (though you can say that about a lot of Conqueror). Chock full of awesome Band-Maid surprises. Loved 11:29 these moments are what reaction videos are all about! :)
For me, Conqueror is to Band-Maid what the White Album was for The Beatles: their most varied album, where they experimented a lot and weren't afraid to displease a part of their audience.
Mirage has so many melodic hooks, interesting chords, vocals, and crazy beautiful instrumental lines. And the acoustic version was gorgeous.
You're not a sucker for pop. You're addicted to Band-Maid!! Just like most of us😁🤘🔥‼️
Brilliant song. So catchy with great harmonies by Kobato. Among my top 3 Kanami solos for sure.
This song grows on you over time. It was my favorite performance of the acoustic show.
One thing that I noticed when first listening to Conqueror was the vocals, there is so much more going on with Miku in the background on many of the songs then in previous albums. Also, although Miku does not actually play on any of the released songs, Kanami makes sure that Miku can play the songs live.

@@_DriveTime Onset has an MV including a split screen version and so does Without Holding Back also there is a Giovanni instrumental MV, not sure if they have been on general release or if they were just for prime members though. You can find reactions to all three of them.

Mirage is a top notch song, but as others have said, played live it's a killer!
This is another secret favorite of mine. Many people complain that this song sounds too poppy.
In my opinion it's not my usual, average pop. It's interesting as always. And it's a piece of impressionist art. I'm not a pop lover but their 'poppy' songs make me realise that good music overcomes the genre barrier.

Nice to see someone appreciate their more "mellow"? .tracks rather than raving about the heavier ones...This is on my "BAND-MAID - Mellow" playlist...And it's the playlist I listen to most...Of the albums..."Maid in Japan" and "Just Bring It" are the ones I listen to most as albums....And I also listen to Cluppo and BAND-MAIKO albums alot...Tracks from the other B-M albums are on my "Japanese Ladies Rock" playlist...which also includes tracks my TRiDENT...I don't have any LOVEBITES or NEMOPHILA or BABYMETAL....They don't get my attention like B-M and TRiDENT do.... TRiDENT kind of lead me to B-M.....But I guess it depends on how you are feeling or situation as to what you listen to...Regardless...B-M do no wrong for me..I love it all...Long May They Reign.

I checked Domination BR for the live performance of this song and it was great. Like every Bandmaid song, last song is always most underrated bandmaid song.
I'm glad that you are doing all the albums. I had forgotten how brilliantly diverse Conqueror was. Kanam's arrangements on this album are fantastic and show such a broard vision of ideas and is the link between the previous albums and Unseen World. Greta reactions again- I'm still with you from the beginning.
I will keep it civil and not talk about the quality of your accents. Nice reaction and one of Kanami's more underrated solos

You should be aware that you have never heard Miku play an instrument on any album or EP to date. All guitars are played by Kanami on the albums. Kanami is Miku's guitar sensei and Miku did not know how to play when the band started. Slowly, but surely Miku learned and began to play more and more live which she has been doing for years now but not on the records. To date the only prerecorded music Miku actually plays guitar on are the instrumental bonus tracks of Unseen World. Having seen her live l can tell you there is, today, absolutely no reason she will not perform on record from here on out but beyond the instrumentals she has not yet. I will be very interested to see if she will be playing on the newest EP coming out this September. There is absolutely no reason for her not to be. My take is that these ladies and perhaps Japanese in general are perfectionists. But on the other hand Miku has certainly improved enough and learned enough and she is more than ready to play her parts herself for sometime now. In concert Miku shows me she should be playing guitar on all albums going forward. Also, the band has been 100% open about this and about Miku's remarkable progress. This album kinda got lost between World Domination and Unseen World but it is a great album with many musical gems. Keep up the good work. Regards from Sacramento where we love Band-Maid.

At the start this band was on a shoestring budget. So much so they were their own roadies and their mix board was a laptop. Thanks for the excellent observation. Regards.

Regarding Kanami's solo - Kanami has this weirdess about her that it so attractive. She is very melodic but she puts strange notes into her melodies. She'll pick odd notes from the scale and stress them because she varies the note durations. She does little shredding patterns but she doesn't do them for four beats or eight beats like most "guitar heroes;" she does them only once or twice before she marches off into the mist. We gladly follow her because she's going to a world where she is friends with a talking pigeon.
Cool that you’re going through all their songs. Obviously, and very sadly, Conqueror got lost in the pandemic and consequent lockdowns. That said, Conqueror is my favorite album as it has an interesting mix of different sounds. Mirage is a beautiful song and it really grew on me. Kanami does incredible guitar work and Saiki’s vocals are amazing.

For me, Akane and Kanami keep all "poppy" Band-Maid songs in check and keep them in the "Rock" genre. You'll never hear this kind of performances in true "Pop". "Hard Rock" guitar shreds and "Prog Rock" drumming keeps them off the "POP" charts.

The version I have on my phone and computer sounds different than this one for some reason. Yeah, I just pulled it up in VLC, Media player, Windows Media Player, then on my phone and played it through PI music player, the Samsung music player and then finally Spotify. And NONE of them sound like the version being played here.
Is it RM's version, or is it SB's interface? I listened to RM's version and it almost matches what I have, just a little softer, soooooo, SB's interface appears to be at fault. Saiki's vocals in particular sound to me like she is at the end of a hallway. Unless it's a YT compression issue again. Does anyone else have this issue? Or did the Ladies release several versions of this song?
Same here, I have it on an MP3 from the CD on my computer, switching back and forth the one here on YT is harsher in tone than the one played on VLC on my computer through the same headphones. I'd bet YT compression. edit, That said I'd not have noticed if I hadn't switched back and forth.
@@geoffb5 considering that I listen to music 5-8 hours a day since I don't watch TV, I notice things when they don't sound right. When I'm reading I have music playing, then there is all of the reactions I listen too. So when I heard something off, I ha d to figure out why.
Ok the Data compression wavelengths from the original recording can change drastically when converted to different formats. That's why some can hear overdrive or background white noise that others can't. Hence "The Dragon Cries" is my least fave studio recording, i can hear the constant white noise buzz in the background, but live TDC is awesome. If that doesn't help, don't blame me i'm just a lowly Maidiac.😁

@@greylocke100 Yeah you know that happens. Also an individuals ears can pick up different frequencies & bit like a dog whistle. So it sounds off to you & others hear nothing different. Wait until B-M start recording in GTS (Gary Total Sound😏), that'll be awesome :)
