The tiny hat was originally worn by MISA, as you could see on their first album cover of “MAID IN JAPAN”, and Akane had a ribbon on her. But Akane wanted the tiny hat, or maybe MISA didn’t wanted anything on, so Akane got it since then. After few years, Miku got to know that Akane had difficult time keeping the tiny hat on, almost needed to glue it on her hair before the concert as her drumming got harder, so Miku decided not to keep the tiny hat for costume design change. R.I.P tiny hat😢
Yeah, it’s the white room instrumental videos, they have cameras focused on all of the members you can watch, I believe Akane has multiple angles so you can see every drum she hits.
@@evilducks3710Prime has unique vids, not those from the Blurays. Same idea, just more songs. As an example, also has vids of Saiki singing short segments, some in a different arrangement.
Your band director's comment about perfect practice makes perfect means, don't practice mistakes! I've done this and I see it in students today. They will practice something and they will be making a mistake - and after a week of that, it takes four weeks to unlearn the mistake. It is far better to practice something slowly and perfectly than to try to play it at tempo before you can actually play it. You can increase the speed of something you know how to play far more easily than to correct the muscle memory of something you learned incorrectly.
And you said that right after I typed this! I think she strained a muscle in her back. If you watch her pre-2017 videos she's pretty "enthusiastic" and now she is much more controlled. She had a camera on herself during performances for awhile, and she'd review it for posture.
I think the analysis of Akane's playing is very similar to all the others in the band. MISA on bass and Kanami on guitar do similar things - they never play the same exact notes eight times in a row, they play the same _essential_ notes, but they change it up. They play very technically but they don't draw attention to that, so all the musicians are in awe and the non-musicians are bobbing their heads. Kanami's writing is very clever and intricate, but it's not impenetrable.
The Tokyo School Of Music is also where Akane met MISA. That's the main reason they are The Best Rhythm Section in the Business. The only time they repeat themselves is to set up an expectation they're going to break in the next bar. If you want to learn a song look for the White Room Tutorials. Sometimes only the 5 of them all together is left up. But there should be at least some of the drums only videos left. Of course, everyone loves the Tiny Hat. MISA started with it. Then it went to Akane. But it kept falling off. So, alas, the Tiny Hat has seen it's last days.
Ohrenje is updating his documentries..adding more info and things that were left out of the originals....The new releases are starting with Saiki on 11th, so 3 days time...Shame he just missed her Bday which was yesterday.
I can say so many "cliche'" things about Akane and her talent, and all would be true, but one thing I CAN say about her that separates Akane from other drummers is that she is the Happiest Drummer I have ever seen. Even now with the latest Band-Maid video's, they are letting her be herself......Happy and enjoying her time. And she not called Gorilla for nothing....

More piano? Have you seen the solo piano performance by Saiki from the Yokohama show? It's awesome!
Tiny Hat originally was worn by MISA
Band Maid Prime has many videos showing just one member playing a song. Total opposite of the usual camera work of the MVs and Live vids

I always like to point out how lucky and random it is that we have video of pre-Band-Maid Akane playing drums in that bar band.
Band Maid is premiering a new video tomorrow morning.
