Finally, I've watched it all through, in one sitting. It was an amazing journey indeed! And now I'm going to sit and finally write a letter to Miku and Saiki, because they have invited all the fans worldwide to write them letters for their radio program... It will be a love letter. I'll tell them how they are important for the world, and what wonderful people they all are. And that Miku is my role model...
This disc is just so fucking Phenomenal. It really shows how Band Maid has Grown and Matured from their beginning to were they are now. Absolutely Phenomenal. 😊 I just can't get over how Great Band Maid IS. Such a Talented Group of Powerful Ladies.
I said it from the beginning and I still stand by it … for me this is album of the year. When you add the new single Sense (and the other two songs ) , I really like the direction of the band. They are evolving and getting better in my opinion. They are in their own league at this point.
The only other true rock album that made a similar impression on me was Led Zeppelin IV. Apples and oranges but similar impact. I really wonder where they'll go from here because in my humble opinion this has to rank up there as one of the best ever recorded. On the other hand they just get better and better. About the only thing that would be even more impressive would be if they could do something close to ten minutes long and really further develop a musical idea. In the meantime I'm still looking for my socks which were blown off the first time I listened to Band Maid.
First off: the portraits are f...ing awesome! Absolutely love that you did them to the reaction. Want more! To the reaction: I love how not prepared you were when I still seek revenge came on. You know that they switch up things, but they still manage to hit you like a freight train, again and again. It is the one cliche you are happy to embrace.
Dear Ryan Mate! Drinking white wine, not Japanese sake under Mount Fuji! They blasted you, did they not, and me as well! They are becoming more and more solid and Miku is doing more than her share. Akane is running amok (or going berserk?)! Misa is Mais and Saiki is Saiki... Kanami? Do I need to comment? Now, here is a small comment: why do some pieces remind me of fast dance music of he Middle East like those performed by the Turko-Persian derviche? Others remind me, especially in the case of Kanami, of complicated piano music, but that would be normal, what with her piano musical education! What is in store for us next? LOL Best regards, Robert-Gilles, the sake-drinking Frenchman in The Land of the Rising Sun.
Ryan I also have these three albums and I definitely got my money's worth! This band is quite honestly the best and hardest working band in the world! They're pretty cute too!😉😀👍👌🤘🤘❤❤🔥🔥💥💥
Sweet, this makes it a lot easier when I want to go back and re-listen to your reactions to this masterpiece. Not that I'd do that, heh, I mean who re-watches reactions? Haha. Definitely haven't done that.
Thank you, sir, is just how I learned from my Dad. Look at it, draw it! There are more efficient ways to draw, but I like erasing half a face just because the eye is right..... or something like that!
@@RyanMear Haha. Yeah i remember those days. 30 years ago my hand got badly smashed in a car door (accident) & i gave up drawing until 5yrs ago cos it was painful holding pens/pencils/brushes etc. Now after discovering digital art i can paint pixels on a touch screen with one finger....or i might just be lazy.🤷♂️
This whole album is non stop crazy bass and drums with killer Kanami leads, actually very well played rythem sections and powerful vocals. The musicianship on this album is unbelievably good. There are 3 very talented and musically trained musicians in this group that happen to also know what a good hard rock song should sound like. I hope they make it big, I really do.
Great format and your face tells so much! Love to have you do 3 previous albums which Bandmaid wrote all of their songs. "Just bring it", "Domination", and "Conqueror". Out of all of their albums, I think "Conqueror" had most heat from from of the older rock fans since the band was trying new taste like "Bubble", "The dragon cries" and "Wonderland". Still a great album with hard rock songs "Rinne", "Blooming" (you need to do reaction, BTW), and "Glory"
So it's been about a month since I gave anything on Unseen World a proper listen. Whilst it was completely unintentional, I came back to this reaction, popped my headphones on, and the amount of just little things in the background, timing play, or notes I hadn't picked up on before is insane. Now I'm a mediocre drummer at best and don't read music, but I like to think I give things a decent list and that I appreciate true artistry, skill, and writing, but holy crap! Lord knows if I were an educated musician I'd be even more blown away.
@@RyanMear lol for real though! It's so freaking impressive and if I were truly musically knowledgeable, it would be far and beyond what it already is.
They made the thing I like, they literally made a new album, unlike some band out there who release new album and only contain 1 new song and the rest is their old songs or hits, Band Maid release a whole new Band Maid album, and they didn't make me buy the same thing twice,
This feels like a conversation over a few beers with friends while listening to a sick new album you've just discovered. Even though we've all heard many of these songs before. Also, fun sketch. I like how you're experimenting with these formats. GJ man! Also, yes, on things you won't hear without headphones!
1:01:31 and 1:10:16 = me when listening to Band-Maid, hahahaha! I can't even put into words how much I love this band. Pinnacle of music! I think I'm listening to them for around 2 years now and every time I listen to their music I'm still getting blown away... including goosebumps... Ri.di.cu.lous. Didn't expect the full uncut version, highly appreciate it! Had lots of fun re-experiencing it with you, probably won't be the last time either, hehe. I'm excited where these girls are going, man, you can't even imagine. The potential of songs still coming our way... The 3 new songs have already proven that again. Here's to many more! Cheers and have a good one!
"Warning" and "Don't let me down" have that galloping drum feeling, and it is absolutely dangerous to listen to them while driving! The friendly police officers don't like it when your gas pedal touches the floor.
Ryan! Good evening (local time) from Shizuoka City! Just came back from having a craft beer at my favorite joint. It had taken me a long time, but I found out that my lady friend (only a good friend!) behind the bar loved rock on a regular basis. I mentioned Band Maid... -Never heard of them!... Those are three great albums. But until you've heard all of "Just Bring It", your Band-Maid experience is incomplete. It was the first album in which they wrote almost all the music and lyrics themselves..... and the pent-up creativity that they weren't allowed to previously fully express exploded in all 13 songs of the album. You should do a reaction to entire "Just Bring It" album. To me... it is to Band-Maid what "2112" was to Rush, what "Diver Down" was to Van Halen, what "Revolver" was to the Beatles. The album where they BECAME the band they were meant to be.
Great video,, thanks for putting all the pieces of the puzzle back together. Over the last two years there have been a number of interviews with B-M where they talked about the problems with previous albums due to touring and travel and how hard it was recording previous albums, not enough time, etc. But with the enforced lock downs in Japan Kanami has had a lot of time to compose and arrange; I think that UW is the result of that extended down time. Now, almost another year later, they are still not able to play live and I'm betting they're working on the next album. Also, with Japan now 70% fully vaccinated, we may see some plans for live shows in Japan soon.
Ryan I'm late to this party!!!!! Just like I've been late to the whole Band Maid movement!!!! I was so focused on other J-Metal/Rock from Lovebites, Nemophila, Aldious, Versailles that I never paid attention to Band Maid until about 7-8 weeks ago!!!! And Kanami has stolen my heart!!!!! Thanks for reacting to the entire album and BTW your drawing is AWESOME!!!!
Hey, Ryan! Was at the Houston show ( This band must be experienced live!) and I bought this CD. It is an incredible album from beginning to end... really like Chemical Reaction! This is one of the few bands that I liked even more after a show. Lets get them back over here next year!
That was great Ryan. Enjoyed seeing the joy on yoir face. Personally I wpuld like a little bit more pausing and talking. After you had a chance to listen to the album a few times...maybe a follow up video on further thoughts on the album or songs 5 through 11. Things that stood out to you perhaps?

I alternate UW and Conqueror for my morning commute CD. They are both brave, excellent albums in different ways. Just got Sense so that will go in rotation too, lol. Slowly accumulating every album since finding them at the beginning of the pandemic.
"Brave" is, increasingly over their career, a great word to describe them. They make no bones about wanting to be widely successful, but to do it on their own terms they're not afraid to lose people that don't want to venture a little outside their comfort zone.
@@stevehall5128 Which is why I feel both Conqueror and UW are brave albums.; both went down some different paths and as Band-maid always does they created engaging, interesting music regardless of any pre-definitions of what they "should" be.
