I had a sheet open while watching this video, but I think it would be helpful to most viewers if you would include sections of the score that you are playing on the right side of the screen.
    Great content!

Finally!! Thank you!! Wonderful video!! I once heard Professor Kaplinsky taught at one of the masterclasses, she said the first three pages of the piece is actually the hardest part not the coda. I couldn’t agree with her more! I can spend hours just to practice first three lines. 😆😆

that simultaneous crescendo with one hand while decrescendo with the other is fun

I've really been enjoying your videos since I've found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge :) For me, Ballade No 4 is perfection from start to finish, note to note. I feel like I'm being taken on an emotional ride every time I listen. Thank you again! You're a great teacher.
If anyone reading this likes to hear different interpretations of this and hasn't heard her already, I highly recommend listening to Idil Biret play this one along with the rest of Chopin's Ballades. So beautiful.

My beloved Ballade 4. My practice of it goes along those lines you describe. I found the interpretation of Kate Liu (on RUclips) highly compelling and so very delicate. To me this Ballade represents Chopin's narration of his life with so many different moments. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and instructing us to listen carefully even before putting hands on the keys...))

Yeah, Kate’s playing is so touching and especially sincere! I love her playing!

Absolutely to hear your analysis. I've been described as a very musical person, but sadly my piano playing will not ever live up to my musicality!
