I’m so happy to see that as a Black community we’re beginning to normalize therapy and counseling. I agree with you that it’s up to the person to open up and get the most out of therapy. It’s hard to be vulnerable but there’s a lot of growth to be had when we choose to be vulnerable (with the right people) and letting down our walls.

I took my first solo trip this year and I fell in love with me all over again. I went to Tybee Island in Georgia. It was one of the most liberating things I’ve done. Do it!!! It will be AMAZING!!!
I’m in therapy and its amazing. I was in crisis and if I didn’t get help, I would have died. Opening up is very hard but, the breakthrough is amazing. It’s freedom.
I just came back from Austria 🇦🇹 on a solo trip I did everything on my own. I had the best time of my life ,my husband stayed with our girls at home while mommy go relax on her girl energy. I came back fresh and ready to do the work again.

Hey GirlFrin!!! I really enjoy all of your videos but your mental health and self care videos are my favorites. I think Miami or California will be good for solo trips simply because of the beach. I never did a solo trip before but I do like doing solo staycations. I am a wife and mother of two a 8yr old & 1yr old. Time alone is very important to me so every quarter (every 3 months) I book a weekend at a local hotel alone. I take wine, order room service, read, catch on shows or homework(I'm in cosmetology school) or just simply get some rest. my 1year old don't sleep through the night so sometimes that has me exhausted. At first my husband didn't understand why I wanted to do alone staycations but once I explained it to him he's been on board.

One of the biggest myths, or rather misconceptions about therapy is that if you beleive in God, if you are Christian, you don't need therapy. I actually had someone tell me that. Anyway, kudos to you for realizing and seeking therapy. Mental health is equally as important as physicl health! We have to be WHOLE, to be healed.
Everything you said concerning vulnerability is correct. It’s the withholding of emotions that causes so many issues both emotionally and physically. I would also love to solo travel, but overseas though lol. Maybe you should consider Hawaii for your solo trip.
Just know your husband is right around the corner Gi! I did thee EXACT same thing, I was unintentionally single and celibate for a year and boom I literally met my soulmate and it was organic. Once it’s aligned it just happens trust. Pretty as always!! Great video
For a solo trip within the U.S, you should go to Sedona, Arizona. That area is known for the metaphysical and creatives (celeb artists) who go there for inspiration and rejuvenation. It's beautiful and also close to the grand canyon.
I don't wear makeup but I really enjoyed the chit chat. I was single for 11 years after my divorce and I took all 11 years to find me, love me, date me and then GOD had finished molding my husband and I got married to who GOD made for me and it was worth the 11 years. Also, I live in NYC so maybe we can do coffee one day!. 🥰
