What caused the impeller to crack , alot of heat ?

I had purchased the boat last year and I don't think all the proper maintenance has been done to it most likely in casr this is due to just age of the impeller

Age, running it dry without water who knows. impellers are supposed to be repalced every season. standard maintenance item. they wear out regularly.
