Awesome Video Thanks! I enjoyed the "you gotta be careful" comment about sizing the puller tool and then out comes the hammer for a pulley beat down. You are a True Pro though for instructions.
I have always hated Mercury raw water pumps. The plastic housing always cracked where the hose went on at. Glad Hardin Marine came up with a fix, 316L stainless steel raw water pump. If you boat in the saltwater like me, you'll like it even more.
Great video only thing I wish you would’ve open those instructions. Mine don’t have a spacer between the bearings, and I was wondering if there is a spot certain distance between them
Hi, great video. Could you please advise what the thread size is for the shaft internal thread. I'm trying to find a puller kit to refit the pulley. Believe its metric size?
@@LakelandAutoMarine Many thanks for your quick response. Sorry, watched it again and you do state the shaft thread size in the video. Pressed it on in the end. 🙂
@@LakelandAutoMarine i was able to get the impeller drive kit from my local boat shop. Thank you so much for the video pump disassembled, diagnosed and back together.
The most underrated video on RUclips. Thank you!!
Yes this is definitely a great video. The frequent break down problems are something that could have been re engineered but left unchanged.

Nice job, looks like a pretty heavy duty pump.
They are actually pretty junk. One of the worst raw water pumps out there. 😀
Great channel. Keep ‘‘em coming.
Many people don’t know they are rebuildable and go out and buy a Hardin when these are great pumps.
What is the number of the blue point puller Thank you.
Hello! Dumb question here but which way do the hoses go to it? Which is the inlet one coming from the raw seawater? Amazing video man!
Thanks for the content!
My pleasure!

Original pumps didn't have a spacer. I always measure them before I take it apart.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

what kind of toolkit is this ?
What brand and type of puller are you using? Thanks
It's just a normal power steering puller.
Is the body of the pump bronze?
Yep.
Anybody know where to order than impeller driveshaft kit? My google searches are showing discontinued or sold out
They are on backorder currently from Mercury

Hardin marine makes a stainless steel housing pump that's better than mercury and bigger impeller
