Saw these guys on my 21st birthday back in 1996. Never heard of them before that night and have been a fan since then. Man they're shows are fun to get drunk at
Wow, Henry's Child, Good call Tom. I haven't heard that name in awhile. I think it was the Winter of 98 when I saw them in Eugene at Good Times and went snowboarding at Willamette Pass the next day with a massive hungover that was later cured by Jager. God I feel old. Did you ever see Satan's Pilgrim's ? A ripping surf instrumental band at the Crystal Ballroom back when the floor still bounced. Cheers.
PLEASE TELL ME THERE'S MORE ALBUMS COMING OUT FROM THIS BAND ITS 2021 almost 2022 I , AND WE NEED MORE!!!! LOL :) FLOATER IS PURELY AWESOME!!!! :) ROCK ON :)
It was a privilege to grow up around these guys and see them live in my youth, wouldn't trade it for anything. I just wish they toured Colorado, I think they'd have a lot of "unknown" fans out here! Floater LIVES!
JoeyJoJoJr0 I saw them last August with Hillbilly Riot in Denver at the Roxy when I went to visit a friend that lives in Cedaredge. Great show but I was disappointed by the crowd. Kinda small crowd and not very enthusiastic. If their other shows in that part of the country got the same kind of response, I would be surprised if they went back. Hillbilly Riot put on a good show too.
I don't think he is playing live with them anymore. Not even sure if he is on the new album due out in may....The sound of his toms is crazy good. I wish he would release a behind the scenes of his drum setup (building/tuning/sampler) .....if only
SepulSolja Pete voluntarily stepped down to try to straighten out his life. Mark Powers has replaced him and while it’s not the same, he’s doing a wonderful job and is a great guy.
@@dankennelly9722 Pete started another project called Riverboat. Soon to release another 20 or so tracks. Currently looking for qualified musicians in the eugene-ish area. He's a cool dude. Had a lyric question. Asked Rob and Pete about it, and both got back to me. Both were chill. Rob was more like you'd expect someone to reply to a fan. Kinda insert name of fan here feel to it. I was happy to get an answer about the lyric clarification tho, and was still happy to have Rob reply. Pete on the other hand wrote me back in like a half hour. While he didnt have the answer about the lyrics, and referred me to Rob, he wrote paragraphs back and forth with me for several hours. Answered questions, some of them stupid on my part, but he still did. Lol. It was fucking awesome. Even asked me to grab coffee sometime. I know Floater isn't some crazy worldwide famous band, but they are to me. So I felt like a 15year old girl when Justin Bieber writes back. This was a month ago, and I'm still stoked.
It is sad that shit like this isn't getting the props it deserves...I was friends with the Alien Bozos and I got to see the old church shows off Hayden bridge back in the day.
Just discovered this in 2024, what a unique and sick song!!
Love them wish they still played
They do
Floater was the first show I ever saw. Back in Eugene...maybe 1993 or 1994....$1 at the WOW Hall.
