Reminder that cos this circuit is so abrasive to the tyres they had to make mandatory pitstops between certain laps, and they had to spend a minimum amount of time in pitlane. Toprak left his box a but early so couldnt exit pitlane, hence why he allowed people to pass. Sadly his bike compared to the pitlane timer was out by a second or so hence his penalty!
Beyond a joke. If WSBK is to rightly increase its profile, it could start by producing pre and post events in a more timely fashion, even within a month of the event would be better than this
Respect the entry order If there is a sudden change in positions on the pit lane, drivers allow each other to pass them to return to the original state of the entry order.
Why did Toprak wait near end of pit lane ? He made so much time up in his pit stop then just gave it back letting them all pass him while he waited… is this a rule? Do they have to leave in the order they came in or something ? I doubt it is ,but ,If so thats a stupid rule that makes pit stops no pressure events
There's a minimum allocated time that you have to maintain or else you get a HUGE time penalty. They do this inorder to avoid bikes like ducati with the single swing arm gaining an advantage in the pits. In this race it's 5X the time advantage gained. For example if you gained 2 seconds in the pits you get a 10sec penalty.
@@Legend57.seems there should be a better way to “class” a race without like an automated penalty like this .. 🤷🏼♂️make all bike meet one standard top to bottom and let the pits have a speed limit and done… i know that I don’t know what im talking about 😂.. just seems odd you rush to make time up in a pit then have to give it back before you leave .why not just say everyone stops then restarts 😂😂

tire swapping ruined the race, otherwise a great race, love fast tracks and slipstreaming tacktis. Monza track had great racing too
