Great Video. I got Ameritron AWM-30B couple years ago that was recommended by Scott's Radio at that time and luckily I got one from him. Best money ever spend. 5% accuracy not like this one he shows 30% 😆 or whatever it is. K-PO meters are good also. Lot of my friends use them in Europe, they like digital watt meters. Good educational video. 73's
I found out like you after well over $200 , what you have there is a decent , fancy looking SWR meter At least mine is pretty accurate , and that’s another thing about these , they are all different Basically it’s just an overpriced piece of garbage and very disappointing. I eventually got a complete Bird setup for everything on my desk Radio , driver and amp , avg & peak , fwd and reflect . It was expensive as you know , but all combined , way cheaper than my amps and radio . So I looked at it as an investment, at least that’s how I had to explain it to my wife lol
It is a non peak reading Power/SWR meter. If you look on my website it has its specs listed. www.scottsradios.com/product-page/k-po-rs-27-swr-and-power-meter-for-cb-radio
@ScottsRadios ill research peak vs avg. seems the k-po 503 is the best option to show everything a basic operator would hope or want to see. Thanks for your reply.
@@get__some DG-103 Max for 1.8-60 MHz. True peak reading. www.scottsradios.com/product-page/k-po-dg103-max-swr-power-meter I think there's a video on the product description.
They're supposed to be factory calibrated with the unknown specification. The meter doesn't have the ability to ever show real PEP so the calibration would only be useful for RMS readings.
The joke many many years Do you want real watts or Dorsey watts when I tell you what your radio puts out Plus many people are freakin out over a watt or two I’ll take clean low watts over dirty high watts.

Im just going to get a lp100 , these meters are all way off . Great video Sir
Love my new monitor sensors meter.
When are you going to do one on the peridynamics😂

Getting quality meter is definitely worth the investment.
Using poor quality meters can lead to so much more costly damage to equipment.
What's your favorite swr meter and the most accurate
I am glad you did this I have one and it is the same way with the reading I don’t trust it and now I really don’t thanks
Peak reading dosy is using fake capacitor charging.
You need a powered SSB to get anything near accurate.
Dosy is a real joke from a quality standpoint. Almost the bottom of the barrel.
I didn’t think the mod was that bad for a analog swinging meter.
I have the same one mine looks like it was hand painted it's that bad .
have you used the k-po rs27? accurate?

Yeah, up too early.
If your not going to use that dosey watt meter send it to me ill put it to good use 73s
It's being put to good use here for educational purposes.
@@ScottsRadios you can always buy you another one
Just saying
@mattpace5982 this will be the one and only Dosy I will ever buy.
Are you breaking in a new hammer?
I have one of the old original white face Dosys. I never use that modulation mode feature. Fairly meaningless.

This is made in USA ? That is trash. 😮
But yet so many American operators run these kind of meters daily and they most likely will continue to.
@@ScottsRadios did you check this digital SWR and Power Meters ? Please do a video about this ones. Thanks.
@andik859 I have some videos. You just have to look back on my channel.
