Thank you very much, you have clarified many doubts, many people said that it made a lot of noise, it would be that they did not know how to configure it ...
Awesome. I’ve found now that small tanks are very hard to keep stable. I had larger tanks years ago and never had a problem. The whole purpose of these sizes was to slowly involve my family and maybe upgrade from there thanks for watching
Skimmer is a nice addition but won't substitute water changes, still need to small ones in these smaller tanks. Will definitely help with how often it'll need done though as long as bio load is minimal
Yeah I don’t do water changes either and to be honest I’ve had no skimmer and didn’t want one. My girlfriend however is getting interested and I came home to this skimmer (her trying to be nice) so I naturally am going to utilize it so as not to hurt her feelings. But I honestly don’t believe in doing water changes- can they help? Sure they can. But I see no need in them and my parameters are always more than stellar . I also dose with reef roids and frozen foods / phyto and copepods . A prefer a working refugium in this tank with plenty of macro algae which I’ll still keep in my middle chamber, I’ll likely just have to dose my macros occasionally since adding the skimmer.
I’m looking to get this tank it will be my 1st saltwater tank I have fresh for many years but worrying about water and keeping everything alive and happy as I don’t like unhappy fish I have keep some sensitive fish but just have been wanting to do this for years any tips
Great starter tank. However you may want to start it up. Cycle it and do a 5-10 gallon qt tank. There are so many salt water fish diseases now that it’s completely worth it to do this
Maybe a dumb question but can the PS2 skimmer still be used in this without the stock lid? Want to replace the lid with flat glass for an AI Prime but not sure if the skimmer is somehow clipping onto the plastic of the lid?
Mine is quite loud. I did buy second hand but it’s barely used. It vibrates against the wall and I found that if I plug the air (needed) it’s quieter. Thinking about switching to ice cap or In-sump Eshopps Nano.
It's been half a year since this video, are you still liking the PS2 skimmer? I'm having trouble understanding whether my skimmer is working or not. I'm getting quite a bit of wet skim
It can be difficult to get the right setting. It has a lot to do with how much filter media you have which can change the chamber water level along with tank level

ARE ON CRACK!! Lol .Great video, just purchased mine. Can't wait to try it out.

Water changes happen weekly
J.McCloud I haven’t done a water change in almost a year and my reef is thriving
I will maybe have two fish like a clown max. And mostly corals. Wonder if I will need it. I will be running ro water top up system

Thanks for the info !
Cool video! Looking at setting up a complete system.
Thank you. This tank has gone through many changes if you check later videos. Thanks for watching
This works 100% let it run for a days before you see any results.
I love two things aquariums and cocaine
I have nasal issues and runny noses a lot. Sorry.

I have this tank it’s great ! Don’t rush.. cycle your tank !

@@RobBoryckiGolf could the qt tank just be plain empty?
@@shdhdhsj8311 it can be whatever you want. I like the live rock etc to make it more appealing to the eye and help with bacteria

Of course you can if you look at later vids I have an ai prime 16hd in place of the lid the skimmer and uv!!
My skimmer isn’t filling up with water when everything is plugged in should I raise the water level?
How far does that stick out of that tank?
no crack here. mines loud as fook. your just lucky and got a decent pump inside it
What heater do you have on there? I think I see it in the 3rd media basket?
I quickly mix reef roids and just chuck it straight in the tank with all pumps on and all my corals get food and it’s a 180G
Yes that works as well thanks for watching as this video is almost 2 years old now
@@RobBoryckiGolf I will have to catch up on ur latest videos about the tank…is the next one about how it crashed??
@@LordBonesaw yes. But I caused the crash. It’s a good view. I was careless. Thanks for your support
I don’t k is if I have set mine up wrong. Mine is so so loud. Literally sounds like it’s raining it’s that loud.
I feel that there is such a mixed review. However imo the Fluval is a great way to get back into saltwater and you will upgrade anyway lol
I have the same protein skimmer but now it doesn't makes bubbles. I cleaned several times and do nothing.
Yes you have to make a water level adjustment or. Maybe the return pump is clogged. Water level is very important with skinners
@@RobBoryckiGolf I have the water level like you. But don't make any bubbles
I cleaned it up several times, but don't make any bubbles. I cleaned the impeller and cleaned the tube were I loosed to enter the air, and nothing
@@68wonderboy hmm do you have the valve on top of the lid to tight? It must be wide open prettt much
👍😁

Yes. Not that great overall. It’s not really needed in a small tank but helps with gas exchange and maybe pro longing a water change

It can be difficult to get the right setting. It has a lot to do with how much filter media you have which can change the chamber water level along with tank level
Also if the water is super clean you may get wet skin mate
@@RobBoryckiGolf Whats the ideal water chamber level?
@@RobBoryckiGolf Well I guess thats my problem cause my water is really clear lol
You lost credibility with reef Roids in an empty tank.
That tank at the time had a bunch of frags in it.
My skimmer is so loud idk what Im doing wrong
I think alot of it is water level in the tank
How many lb of rock do you need for this tank ?? Plus lb of sand aswell
High bill sorry I didn’t see this comment One bag of Aragonite sand and about 10 lbs of live rock depending on what your looking for
Usually 1lb per gallon
I also have my water level high, the ps2 works more efficient.
What heater you use?
Hi eheim jagger 50 watt works very well and reliable
Where did you get that tank?
The fish store
On Crack !!!! I lol’d .. . Great video
It’s crap. You have to constantly dial it in.
People complaining about the noise is because they did not use the clips that keep the case together. Once it splits open its out as hell lol
Price...?
They range around $150-$200 depending on where you get it from
200 bux here in Ontario for a stock setup but day one with sand live rock and some test kits was 500 cad
On crack 😂😂
