In my opinion, George Michael has been one of the most talented artists we've known in the past years. He's been able to master the word "artist" by writing, producing, singing, composing, and if I'm not mistaken, even playing some instruments on his albums. But not only that, he was able to adapt to other genres perfectly.

That song plays in the head of every gay man that doesn't fully trust their partner. So sad really, but still a beautiful song, what a talent.
Listening to this with older ears compared to when I was younger and I appreciate this more given the context of the 80s for the hay community. As a man who has been cheated on by a girlfriend or two, it resonates also on a personal level. I did not expect this video for such a deep song (not that it's bad, just unexpected).

For some reason this beauty tends to get overlooked in the George Michael pantheon of hits.... but it's an absolute beast! It's got jazz, hip hop scratching, soulful vocals, a KILLER BASSLINE!! deep lyrics, an infectious sample from Herbie Hancock and a sophisticated sexy black and white video. It's a million miles from Faith but that's why I love George, he can sing any genre convincingly, effortlessly.

It is an incredible song. So smooth and sensual . At this point after his death, it's bittersweet to listen to any of his masterpieces but I do every day.

I mean the basics of it... 4 o'clock in the morning, you ain't home, can't help thinking that's strange. so I got the time wrong but google got me to this vid lol and I had no recollection of it being G michael but I remember it being a cool tune and it's just what I'm in the mood for. but hear this... the sound is distinctly bee gees. wind it back to the opening vocal and tell me there's no bee gees in there lol. So shocked and saddened by the news. I will remember him not just for the music but for his kindness and generosity, because in 2008 he held a free concert for NHS nurses at Wembley stadium to show his gratitude to the care his dying mother received from NHS staff. I was lucky to go and see him live there for the first time with my Mum who is a nurse. It was such a great concert and his voice hadn't changed. I remember and thank him for his music and his generosity. RIP George Michael.

I turned 30 in march and the first album i listened to at the crack of dawn was George's own 'Older'. I've always admired his works throughout my life, but i truly think he is one of the greatest artists the music industry has ever seen. He transcends music like few others can.
It's simple, he was a supreme song writer and singer of the lyrics, he always had his own genre nobody came close.

This song inspired me to begin fighting back against anorexia nervosa, just before George died I would listen to it and those lyrics were me arguing with that demon illness that I had mistakenly thought of as my friend, I went on to accept help and continue to fight with anorexia,I always said it was like an abusive relationship.
Progress is slow but I am getting there and I was months from death just before Christmas, today my husband had this song on in the car and said 'If that man were still alive I would write to him and thank him for saving my wife'.
Thank you George, I was always a fan and in the end you helped save me, saved a wife and a mother too
