@@Ce0ammer Checked all the GUI based Task Managers. At best they are comparable to the one from Windows XP era. I don't see them displaying GPU utilization and plenty of other information that Windows 10 Task Manager offers. The powerful ones seems to be only CLI based. Typical linux.
Your choice. Linux has its use and so does windows. Both have their pros and cons. And then there are true proffessionals like you, who are only concerned about how pretty the task manager is. Its like not sitting into ferrari, because its first aid kit doesnt have bandages with elephant pictures.
@@VacumOvale Nah, it's about bad UX. Linux people live in a delusional world where they suppose everyone has time and interest to remember 1960s keyboard navigation and commands for literally everything. Mouse has been out for a while. Welcome to 2023 old man.
I'm confused. Talk trash on Louis for posting tutorials that will possibly make his business go bankrupt. (because people will self teach themselves and don't need Louis). But Eli is literally making videos teaching us a FREE operating system... And he gets negligible views on these? Half the comments are suggesting fancy new tips, you seem outdated Eli!
There is also a more fancy version called htop with a few more features
yeah that is what I use. It is like top but for humans.
I used a distro once that didn't have htop in its regular package system, I should have taken that as a warning.
sudo yum install htop -y
Thank you for making these videos freely available.
these videos are friking amazing. thank you SO MUCH!!! i don't know why these videos don't have more views
Thanks for this lesson Mr. Eli. It came in really handy, because someone months ago, asked me about top, and commands for it.👍
Lovely. Thanks for the video. Always enjoy your lectures. 👍👍
Louis brought me here. Great video btw.
Thanks ..
YEAH!!!
atop is good to detect failing raid drive
Big top gun shop
Like it
htop for a more human readable top
gout
htop > top
There is no GUI version of this? Haven't linux people seen Task Manager in Windows?
There is a lot of different types! For example gnome-system-monitor.
Just install it with for example aptitude.
