That's really beautiful work, man and thanks for sharing. I have this kit sitting on the shelf and I'm working up to it. With the strings, I have a block of beeswax and I pull the string through it a few times. It seems to do really well locking the hairs down.
You have done a fabulous job of it, some people love all the brass but you can get burnishing fluid which will turn it black. you're best painting metal either with enamel or using a primer first. I think she looks stunning.

Yeah I didn't have that. I tried with vinegar + salt but it didn't work and for such a small piece I gave up. Thank you!
