  • Ship modelling - How to fix deadeyes at equal height
    Today I show you how to correctly distance the deadeyes of the shrouds from the deadeyes of the turnbuckles using two small pieces of raw brass.
    This technique might turn quite useful when you are working on deadeyes on the two sides of the ship model so that you can keep an equal distance on both sides.
    This is useful and simple method if you're just starting, but with practice, you might not need it anymore =)

    I saw a single wire used many years ago on a vhs tape demo of how to rig deadeyes. Never thought to use a pair of them. Thanks.

    Al minuto 2:00, come si ottiene quella finitura/effetto sul fasciame dello scafo; è eccezionale complimenti.

      Ciao Giuseppe! Grazie mille. I modelli antichi, come in questo caso, li tratto sempre con gommalacca dopo una leggera passata di impregnante noce. L'impregnante puoi anche non usarlo se non vuoi un risultato troppo "scuro", ma la gommalacca la uso quasi sempre a modello ultimato =)

    Ciao Carlo, che colla usi/consigli per il cordame?

    • @Tagliamare
      @Tagliamare  Год назад +1

      Ciao Alberto, io uso la colla vinilica Pattex solo per fissare tutto in posizione, ti lascio il link amazon qui sotto. La uso direttamente sul nodo, ancora meglio se leggermente diluita in modo da non rischiare di lasciare macchie. C'è invece chi usa l'Attack, ma in generale tendo a evitarla.
