Yes. Targeting a player’s head when throwing a hit like that makes him a goon, and a trash-rat. Not even comparable to someone fighting someone for throwing the dirty hit. Different fucking universes. I’ve been exposed to this player twice so far, and both times it was him throwing dirty hits that could easily end a player’s career if it had gone worse. Maybe you think fighting should be banned from the NHL, I don’t know. It’s NOT banned though. Hits like the one thrown by Rempe, ARE banned. If being a “goon” has anything to do with playing dirty, then in the context of this incident, yes, Rempe is the goon.

Macdermid was challenging him the WHOLE game but rempe didn’t fold. Second, not sure how you’ve only seen rempe twice … maybe look into him more idk Third, definitely never said fighting shouldn’t be in the nhl. I feel the exact opposite way. But when someone is trying to challenge you the whole game, and then later says “I wish I got to him sooner and taught him a lesson” that’s goon shit
