I don't know the original theme very well, but from the little I listened to it it didn't inspire me more than that, it was pretty "classic" for me in fact? I was like ok it's a theme like any other I didn't appreciate it more than that. So the fact that you've made it into a style that stands out, instead of a cover that's more faithful to the original, gives it a nice fresh breeze, so your cover is far superior to the official one for me... it's official!! xDDD Keep it up, I love this kind of nice surprise, it's always a pleasure! :D
Let's delete the original from Irminsul, so this becomes the official! xD
Jokes aside, I'm surprised her official theme didn't inspire you much, considering it already sounds very much like a city pop theme and it's very catchy imo :D But as long as you enjoyed this version, it's all good

The moment I heard the original, I knew the flute was the wrong instrument for the piece and was waiting for a brass/synthesizer cover. I didn't think to use a saxophone, but it might even be better. Excellent work.
Thank you very much! :D Yeah, I believe the flute was a deliberate choice to emphasize that Chiori is from Inazuma, but I also felt it didn't quite have the impact I was aiming for, particularly when it comes to city pop. I'm glad you enjoyed this version!
@@sumesYea it was definitely an homage to Inazuma. I was mainly speaking for just he song by itself. It just has two conflicting styles that don't work together, at least in my opinion.

Haha I agree! And it's funny that you mention it, because I've been trying to make a city pop version of Layla's theme for some time. It's just that I haven't been satisfied with it, so I put it to the side for now, but I'll definitely get back to it! :D
