If the "Copy Bundle to Asset Library ..." button is not visible: You likely created a new Asset Library that uses the downloaded bundle folder as the file path. In that case the current file has become part of the Asset Library. The button will disappear as a result. It's instead recommended to pick a folder that are somewhere safe on your hard drive. Do not pick the Download folder! This can lead to the Asset Library folder being deleted accidentally. Apologies for not making this clear in the tutorial.

Ah I see what's causing the problem! I skipped over a step visually and just said "Create or choose a folder". This was not clear enough. I meant you should choose a folder where your asset library is stored. I assumed that people would go and choose a folder on their hard drive. But instead most people will just click the button and use the path of the current file, which is the bundle folder in the Downloads directory ... This leads to multiple issues: - The folder is not safe since the Downloads directory is usually cleaned up from time to time - Adding an asset library in the same folder as the bundle, will make the "Copy Bundle to Asset Library" button disappear, since it's already part of the asset library. No need to copy it anymore.
This is incredible beccause I have been trying to find consistent time to create my own base meshes and even then they won't be sufficient enough for me, but these really sky rocket my production and I can focus on just animation and asset and level design at this point!!! I'm not good at character modeling just yet!
Topology is amazingly clean. It looks like a computer built them. Thanks for this, I spent a long time trying to get a mesh that I could rig up and a lot longer trying to make a humanoid out of vertices. And it was a mess.

Found solution, Uninstall addon "BlenderKit Online Asset Libary", later you can install it back. After checking Console in Windows section, I saw blender had conflicts with two thumbnails from it and refuse to proceed further.
Hi! I'm probably late, but same thing happend to me on 4.3, only I had just one dependancy. In my case the filepath led to an add-on ("vrm format" in my case) and turning it off and restarting blender helped. Hope it helps
This is wonderful news! It looks like the blender asset browser is getting populated by official assets! Has anyone tested these meshes with BlenRig6? I know rigify is the official rig, but BlenRig produces feature-film-ready characters, rather than game-ready.

I can open and load Foot from Asset library and then assign material on it. but after loading "Head" or "Body male" I can only see they are in Collection list and Item without Data block , cannot assign material or modifier on them, cannot switch from object mode to edit mode. How can I convert them to real object ?
how do u ge the character models into the asset library since they aint in the initial asset library just the blender file? i've been using blender for a couple yrs but still arent very well versed in how to do much outside of modeling and texturing
@@BlenderStudio the models r all in the blender file but the whole character models aren't in the asset just the blender file and I couldn't work out how to add the characters to the asset library for the pack. i was able to add the model individually but the eyes were not part of it so every time i use the models i have to add the eyes manually
For some reason, the asset bundle i downloaded is exactly the same except it's missing the "copy bundle to asset library" button, and i can't find it anywhere even after googling. im on 3.6 and the file is otherwise exactly the same as in the video. i haven't used the asset library before, so is there some setup i'm missing?
Same, the only way to get it to work atm is to open it with Load Factory Settings. Must be a small bug that has to be fixed. Like a boolean setting of sorts that isn't marked correctly.
The Blender developers could look into this. The best thing to do is to report this as a bug with the "Report a Bug" button in the "Help" menu at the top.
@Ironpants57 I think that when you install a new blender with old preferences it keeps the old UI because even the save preferences button doesn't exist, load factory pref is the solution, thanks.

I was having this same issue! If you watch the end of the video they show that you need to unclick "instance"

The tip to uncheck the instance option was helpful. I couldn't parent it to an armature.
