I love watching you guys react to Rugby League, and cricket of course, great job. You asked the question, "when did the buzzer go?" This was during the play when the ball hits the cross bar and is picked up for a try. That prompted me to wonder if you had come across a rule that I think makes the Rugby codes unique, at least it is not the norm. That is play does not end at the final siren or when time has run out. It ends when the ball is finally dead after the time has expired. You will often see the game go on for some seconds if there is a chance for the attacking team to take the lead. Every now and then you will see a game won after the siren has sounded.

That one you suggested if the defender knocked the ball out and then would have been a drop out (but he didn't and the guy scored) is technically right BUT what you missed was the siren sounded as the attacking team kicked the ball. Not only did they score right on full time, but it won them the title.! Massive moment
Yes, he could have knocked it backwards out the back of his own in-goal. Since the full-time siren had sounded, the game would have gone to extra-time.
The rule change was in the NRL not sure about the super league.

The guy at the end with all the Skills is Rangi Chase. Phenominal talent but his career was constantly marred with his inability to keep his nose clean. (Figuratively and Literally).
He does have his own highlights somewhere on RUclips including a rediculous around the world to escape a tackle and tightrope the touchline. Some real Harlem Globetrotters type stuff.

NRL & English Super League have way different rules. It's only when Australia play England or NZ or any international team then they play by international rules but national comps have their own rules

Nothing wrong with calling it a touchdown, the end zone, out of bounds, and calling tackles downs. An American commentator did a great job. U.S.A patriots vs Russian bears in 1994 (easy to find). That one of Rabbitohs vs Roosters is even bigger than the clip. Rabbitohs were down 22-12 with 3 minutes to go. They score a try going from Dave Taylor to Chris McQueen to Merritt to score. Most of these clips are from the English competition. The nrl clips are way better
NRL is where you find top level rugby league. The English competition is second tier. It's where old NRL players go to get a few more years in their careers.
I mean I love the NRL too but saying that is kind of crazy when they have beat the grand finals champs the last two years. Granted last year there were some questionable calls.
The NRL premiers do lose to the super league premiers,but if you follow rugby league,it's common knowledge that the NRL in Australia is far superior to the English super league. Not trying to disrespect the super league in England, cause that's where the greatest game off all,was born. Huddersfield to be precise,but the NRL is better by a mile.
@@patrickjohnson1309 yeah we have heard that they play down to their competition or certain players don’t participate. But that could also be bias so we stay neutral with it.
I promise ya,that the NRL is 10 times better than super league! Super league has 12 teams with heaps of ex NRL players in the comp. Only the best English players can survive in the NRL at their peak. England hardly ever beat the Kangaroos in an international game. The Rugby league Ashes series starts at the end of next year I think,that's Australia vs England and they have good games but Australia would win 8 out of 10 games. I don't think Australia has lost a test series against England since the 70's. NRL has 17 teams and it will go to 20 over the next 5-10 years. I honestly reckon the best team in the super league would come dead last if they played week in,week out in the NRL. NRL is averaging 20,000 a game,that doesn't include state of origin which is about 70,000. That's the highest out of any domestic rugby comp in the world. I'm including rugby union in that stat aswell.
Guys, love your comments on NRL but if you want to see a passionate, hard Rugby League, please, please watch the 2024 NRL state of origin, especially Games 2 and 3. Rugby league at its best!!!

The one where the ball hit the bar and bounced down for the player to "score" should NEVER have counted. The penalty was wrongly given and the player who got the ball was 10 yards in front of the kicker before he kicked it, but the arrogant, "the games all about me" referee refused to go to the video referee ( who intervened wrongly to give the penalty in the first place). Biggest rip off in a game ever.
The person who made this video did not look very hard for great moments in league, they must be English, some were good but others were average at best
