I've listened to this probably 10+ times. This board sounds amazing
It's funny how people sleep on the Monsgeek boards, really solid board at a good price that I have to say sounds excellent in this video. One day I have to get unlazy and fix my spacebar stab on my M3 but otherwise I really dig the fact that this is an in stock board that looks and sounds pretty darn nice for the price.
if only they make 65% boards
@@Drew311Drew Yeah their 65 isn't really a 65. I'm hoping they make a TKL HE board at some point (or someone makes a qmkl/via compatible TKL).
Well damn, I am beyond impressed.
Whoa.... this keyboard is AMAZING!
this is NOT mulpan
your pfp was a jumpscare wtf
Great build!
gave me goosebumps 💕 beautiful
same
yo bro idek how, this has never happened to me before, but i legit got goosebumps from this keyboard
The sort of keyboard you want the person in the cubicle across from you to have
Hahahah thats making me feel bad for my shitty keyboard at work
Really deep thock! I’ve rarely used my cerakeys. Gotta admit it sounds nice but I’m more of a cream marble enjoyer xD
Same here. I like it but it was too thocky lol
why does deep thock sound so inappropriate to me 😭😭 I am way to dirty minded
@@TheRedDepthswell you know what they say, different strokes for different folks 😆
really underrated youtuber
very cool, like the sound!
"Dude how can a keyboard sound like choc- oh..."
me being amazed by his wpm
You gotta make a 30 min asmr video with this 🥺
Ive never wanted to have tastebuds in my ears so badly 😭
what is the plate material? currently using a keychron k2 with an aluminium plate and on my quest I'm wondering what other ones people are using
Plate is polycarbonate
I need a 10h version
this is freakin bubble wrap or something holy shit i can feel it in my head like someone's whispering to me (or maybe because im wearing headphones)
you are schisophrenic?
Man oil kings with ceramics must be thock city
this keyboard makes me taste sounds
It kinda sounds like that cartoon running sound
Sounds like mining in minecraft with efficiency 10000
Bro how come this one sounds deeper and louder than the zoom75 with the same keycaps and switches?
More expensive doesn’t always mean deeper and louder. In general, I feel like the zoom75 is a bit of a quieter board than the m1w in my personal experience.
can how i know how much polyfill did you fill into it? and also how many layers of tape mod? thank you!
I believe I did like 2-3 layers of tape mod, and for the polyfill idk just do what seems like a reasonable amount lol. Just make it so that there’s no sparse areas, but don’t have it be bursting at the seams either.
Can the leobog hi75 create similar sound signature like this? I was leaning towards do a budget build with the hi75 but now thinking grabbing, one of these. Sounds orgasmic
I can’t attest to whether it can sound like this board because I haven’t tried it. However, if you decide to do my build, keep in mind that the keycaps themselves cost like 150+ bucks and the total build would go a bit over 300 dollars, so it wouldn’t be much of a budget build.
@@NoSwitches Thanks a lot, I may go ahead and instead of budget build just go all out. Last question, out of the zoom75, M1W, Qk75 what would be your preference? Granted you are only going for the deepest and thockiest board
@@BigRIp_it’s definitely between the zoom 75 and the m1w. Personally, I’d say that their sound signatures are kind of similar, but the m1w is a lot louder. It also needs a lot more modding. The zoom on the other hand doesn’t need any modding and has a sick ass backplate and a screen, so if cost isn’t an issue then the zoom75 is the easy choice for me!
Oh good heavens
oil kings are stilll popular after 2 years. All i have to say
mmmm, chocolate
it sounds like mr krabs walking
if only the cerakeys didnt cost as much as the board i would've bought it in an instant 😂
Do you think that the v3 pro pianos will withstand the weigh of the cerakeys?
I think pretty much any switch will be very minimally effected by cerakeys because the keys themselves don’t weigh more than a few grams.
@@NoSwitches thnx Im more inclined to buy ones
@@lute_cg I would be too. If they had ISO support... ; ____ ;
@@zatozatoichi7920 damn, at the end I went for some gmk yuris

what chocolate ounds like this?
Any mods on the spacebar besides lubed stabs?
Nope :)
What a perfect sound, I'm making my own cnc router, for industrial use, as soon as I finish the router I want to develop my own mechanical keyboard, as the structure of the keyboard I'm thinking of using wood called teak.... How to get a beautiful one like this, This is exactly the sound I imagine for my keyboard.
All the specs of the board are in the description, and all the parts should be in stock!
eats the keyboard
do you have a link to what pe foam you used? also did you used the included tape mod as the layer closest to the pcb because for me it doesnt stick very nicely. my last question is did you use the included fire prevention clear layer (its kinda rubbery)
I just used the pe foam from one of my packages lol. I did use the fire prevention layer bc I decided better safe and sorry and I felt like it wouldn’t effect the sound too much. I do not remember which layer I used the included tape mod in but it’s totally up to you and what’s most convenient!
okay thanks

still u gotta have some weird chocolate .....
I have no idea to be honest, I’ve mostly just been ignoring that because it seems to go away after a bit of time.
Where did you get your wooden wrist rest? What height should it be?

was the tape mod done with only the included material from monsgeek?
Woah, apart from the black inks you have the identical setup as me lol including all the mods. Mine sounds very similar but a little more poppy (which is what I wanted).
I used the included tape and added one or two layers on top of it.
Wowww
do you sell custom keyboards?
Not right now, might do it in the future though
whew
the real question is how do you know how chocolate sound?
Maybe I haven’t heard it directly, but if it had a sound, this is what I’d imagine it sounds like lol

What would you recommend between aqua kings and oil kings for the jris75 with an aluminum plate and possibly mt3 keycaps? I like deep sounds and pe and possible tape sounds. Trying to decide on aqua kings or oil kings. Maybe even mode switches. But person selling me switches is charging the same for oil kings or aqua kings. Heard aqua kings were quieter or softer. Heard ink blacks are muted and alpacas are high pitched. I like deep thock heavy loud poppy marbly sounds like when i had a kbd75 with brass plate and oa switches and SA keycaps. I do not want a quiet muted thin clacky high sound. And it seems hard to tell since both aqua kings and oil kings sound for some reason very similar to me
I can’t give you an exact answer because I haven’t tried a lot of those things. However I will say that thocky builds generally favor polycarbonate and Pom plates rather than metal ones. Also switches can sound very different in different boards, even with full foams and mods. I’d recommend looking at a bunch of sound tests of the switches you’re considering in a variety of different boards to get an idea of the range of sound that the switch generally has. Also mt3 caps are probably a good choice since taller caps are usually louder and deeper sounding than shallower ones. Good luck!
Using a PE foam sheet on top of the PCB will make a big impact on getting the sound that you're looking for
@121bradm still need to decide on switches though
I want almost exactly this board. Can I ask… did you get the aluminium case on the Monsgeek then think “I bet the canal blue cerakeys would look great with this”, or was it the other way round? Or did you perhaps foresee how good they would look together?
I don’t think I’d be able to stretch to the oil kings right away but I do have two packs of Akko cream yellow V2 Pro. Think they would work well?
Honestly the canal blue cerakeys were just my favorite color that they offered. Then I thought, I have too many dark colored keyboards so I should try the aluminum colored M1W. Since they're both lighter shades, I suppose that contributed to how they look good together.
I haven't tried cream yellow V2 pros yet, so I can't definitively speak for the sound signature, but I can't imagine that it would be bad. Keep an open mind for it to sound different though!
What app is that?
Monkeytype
@@NoSwitches Thank you ✌️
its...... poppy
I would buy the M1W but I really hate that gold accent. Literally, the only thing that is stopping me from buying it. You have it. Do you see any way to change the colour? Could that be painted on or something.
Luckily for you, it’s removable if you unscrew the top case! It’s just two gold colored pieces that slide right out. You can paint them different colors or replace them with a polycarbonate accent or something if you’d like!
@@NoSwitches Ohhh, thats great to know. Wow thanks a lot and keep up the good work because your vids are amazing!
And i thought my 88 wpm is impressive
Chocolate has sound?
sounds amazing tho!
Maybe not, but if it did this is what I’d imagine it sounds like lol
Same case and same keycap but switch KTT Kang White V3
Maybe in the future :)

can you build another one and sell it to me pls
I’ve had a couple people ask me that now haha, and now I’m really considering doing builds for people. However it’s probably gonna have to wait a bit because I’m still in university and it’ll be kind of inconvenient to ship stuff out from here. Stick around for the future though!
you think you could at least make a tutorial on what mods you did and how to do them :)@@NoSwitches

Let me move a mic really close just out of shot and turn it away so the treble is attenuated and it sounds muted and deep, then post the video online so poor hobbyists who don't understand the trick lust over a keyboard that doesn't actually sound like the video when in person.
This audio is straight from camera mic, exactly where the camera is, completely unedited. But go ahead and fabricate away.
let me buy it
