    Great job! I am doing carnivore and have lost over 20lbs since May 13th. I love this lifestyle. It has helped with my pain, inflammation, sleep, mood, etc. I do not crave sugar/carbs and only eat when I am hungry. We are too fat and just eat too much -which leads to disease.

      Thank you so much Kelli, I love that description, it really did feel like a stitcher's Glastonbury, like a music festival but quieter and more chilled and with better food and toilets! A feast for all the senses for sure and even better in person as you can imagine. I'm so happy you enjoyed watching, I want to watch it again myself now :) xo

      Thank you so much Sue! yes, it's funny but somehow when I've done well, I am more inclined to work even harder at it the following week, whereas if I've had a not-so-good week, rather than make me try harder, I find it's harder to stay motivated. Strange creatures aren't we. I'm keeping myself very busy stitching, creating and planning at the moment, which really helps :) xo

    Wow well done that’s brilliant. Starting to listen to your body is so good. I have just started listening to my body and it’s working. Now halfway on my weight loss journey and it’s thanks to you for helping me stay long enough for my brain to kick in. I to have stopped snacking. ❤

      Wonderful! Well done Pippa, I'm so happy for you - yes it feels like a lot of willpower is needed to start with, but then it does kind of kick in as you say and hopefully now we've made a permanent change to our mindsets and lifestyles so that we can get back to ourselves and live our best lives - sounds corny, but it's true! It's brilliant that we're both about half way through - we can definitely do this! Have another good week Pippa, see you next week xo

    Well done Annie! You’re doing amazingly well. You’ve also inspired me. I finally started 4 weeks ago and am down 1st 1lb. It was definitely a case of getting my head in the right place to start and I really feel you helped! Thank you. X

      Thank you so much Carol, for your support and the kind words. You're right, it feels like a gradual change has been happening and hopefully "sticking", which was what I've been hoping for since the very beginning of this journey. It's the first time in all my years of yo-yo dieting that I've taken it so slow and steady and stuck to it for so long, and the first time it feels like a permanent change for the better. I'm probably shedding the weight only slightly faster than I put it on, but I do feel confident that I'll get there, hopefully still on target for Christmas, so I can start the new year as the new me :) xo

    You’ve done so well Annie! And I think it definitely sounds like you have found a great balance between enjoying food when out and about without going overboard. Plus when we’re travelling we do seem to do more exercise…at least that’s what I’m telling myself after stopping by the bakery here in Bright (after a big morning walk along the river with Travers) for yummy cakes to share with Alex when he returns from skiing today 😆🤗 The v neck on your top really suits you too.       Thanks very much Christine, yea so much of it is about balance, and I was definitely off balance before. I think for me as for many others, there's such an emotional element/response around food and when you combine that with a sedentary lifestyle, it's very very easy to get into habits that aren't good for us - too much of some things and not enough of others and all for the wrong reasons! But I do feel like I'm back on the right road now and my life will be so much better for it. Enjoy the rest of your hols and especially enjoy those yummy cakes :) xo

    Well done Annie. You’re doing so well. Ah food on train here in NZ the food is awful so I don’t snack if we go on a train. Water bottle is a must when you’re losing weight so keep up the water. Gotta treat yourself a little and yes Mac N Cheese is a weekness of mine a little treat is good. Have a wonderful week and go Annie GO Annie.

      Thank you very much Paula - ah yes the snacks on the train here aren't the best either, but I used to go to one of the outlets on the station before getting on the train and buy myself a picnic to take with me. I did once have a lovely meal on a train - many years ago, I travelled down to Cornwall first class for a treat (got the ticket way ahead so it wasn't that expensive actually), and ended up having a meal in the restaurant car. It was amazing - for a start, I didn't feel weird sitting alone, cos they gave me a one-place little table and I had the window to look out of. I had a really delicious 3-course meal with good wine, nice silver and glass ware, proper linen and all and excellent service. Worlds apart from the crappy stuff they serve in the buffet cars and it only cost me about £25 which I didn't think was too bad for a treat - and it passed about 2 hours of the journey very pleasantly.     Annie, if you get go to Looe in Cornwall there is a lovely little boutique near the quayside that sells beautiful clothing and accessories ❤

      Thanks for the tip Ruth - I'd love to be able to go to Looe, I haven't been there for years, but my sister used to live there, so my boys and I spent some happy times there when they were little, we used to go on the train, which was all part of the fun for them :) xo

    Oh well done that is brilliant. I have been using this programme for 7 weeks now and have only lost 3lbs and that was in the first week, I think I now know why I have been using my BMR as the number of calories I should be eating each day, I am going to reduce them by 200 cals an see what happens x

      Well I wondered about that myself and I did notice that they will tell you you've gone "over target" when your intake takes you over the BMR number, so from that I would assume they're intending for your BMR to be your target. Having said that, my understanding is that not everyone is the same, they can only estimate what your BMR is really, based on the average person of your weight/gender etc. If your activity is very low or your metabolism is slower for some reason, then you'll need less than the estimate, because at the end of the day you have to take in 500 cals per day less than you're burning in order to lose 1lb in a week. So if it's not working for you, I guess you need to adjust your intake until it does work. For me, although my BMR has gone from about 1450 to 1350-ish, in fact 1200 a day (most of the time!) seems to do the trick. It will go down as I lose weight of course, but then hopefully I'll be able to balance that out by gradually increasing my activity levels. Well, that's my non-expert understanding of how it all works anyway! :D Good luck this week Jean, let me know how you get on! xo
