The music video was filmed on the volcanic island " Izu Oshima". What looks like black sand is solidified lava. If you look at the documentary film of the shoot, you can see a small silhouette of Mt. Fuji in the background of them performing on the beach.
The blue-Ray of this live show arrived on the 26th. If you watch the documentary video of this concert, you can understand their relationship and how they organize their live shows. It's a documentary really worth watching.
Just before the live performance, Kanami, the composer of this song, muttered, "Grandma!" The reason Kanami wanted to perform at the Yokohama Arena, which is not far from Kanami's parents' house, was because she wanted to invite her grandmother, who was physically weak and loved Kanami and Band-Maid. Unfortunately, Kanami's grandmother passed away, but I think she wanted this song to be heard by her granma at this big venue.

Written as an "anthem" type song for fan participation. "Thank you" lyrics added for the ending section of this concert. Their emotion begets our emotion. For me and BAND-MAID it just seems natural anymore. A more consistently Awesome band I haven't found in over 40 years. Peace. 15.9

This was the last song of their 10th anniversary tour. BAND-MAID spent most of 2023 touring Japan and the United States. They capped it with this performance at Yokohama Arena, the biggest venue they’ve played yet.
I recommend you order the Blu-ray they released yesterday of this concert. In the mean time, try the other videos from this concert already on RUclips.

This song was created specifically for this concert. Kanami talked about a band meeting 5 years ago, where they discussed their future milestones. Kanami said she wanted to compose and play at YOKOHAMA ARENA where the song is completed only by the entire audience singing along. She was thrilled that the rest of her band mates were so enthusiastic about working towards that dream and Endless Story was born.
This video captures the moments they are finally realizing their dream through years of effort by the whole band. Add to that the gracious, humble and heartfelt words from Saiki, it really captures what this band is al about.
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the lyrics were written by Miku after she learned of the rising trend of youth suicide in Japan, encouraging them to stay alive and embrace life.

Great Way to wrap up the last show of their 10th Anniversary Tour. Playing to a home crowd, in the venue that you could only dream that would be achievable. Also as a special final show bonus .. all of those streamers were emblazoned with "Band Maid 10th Anniversary Tour"

Since you liked the location of this song, I think you will like "Influencer".
That location is absolutely stunning and the filming was done with drones
And the song is (of course) fantastic as well 😁

Thanks again from Japan 有難う。I was there in Yokohama Arena with tears of joy and sadness to say good-bye to the ladies at last. The moving finale of the 3-hour-40-minute long show. (33 songs)
A little off topic. I went to see Band-Maid's ACOUSTIC concert held in Shibuya on March 20. All of 14 songs performed there were amazing. The finale of the show "Daydreaming" was especially breathtaking for me. In addition to the beautiful singing, kudos to FIVE instrumental players ! (Saiki on piano)

Saiki has never been more emotional than she was here. She has been our Ice Queen; but she melted a bit with this performance. And so did all of her fans.
To catch you up with where you left off, here are Band Maid’s best music videos. Some of these songs have lives; however, the videos are actually very well done and are the best introduction to the music.
    “From Now On”
    “Blooming”
    “Daydreaming”
    “Warning”
    “Secret MY Lips”
    “Choose Me”
No clues for you. Let the random generator surprise you

Kanami said she wrote "Endless Story" as an "anthem" song that the audience could participate in. She nailed it! Great songs always make an emotional connection between the musicians and the audience. This song does that.

Izu Oshima, where the music video was shot, is a volcanic island. Black Desert is made of volcanic rock (scoria)
The gravel is large and porous, and it's not so fine that footprints can easily be left on it, so I don't think you need to worry about erasing footprints.

"Full of audience and long solo stage in Yokohama Arena (called Yoko-ari)"
It is a big dream of musicians in Japan. So this Yoko-ari live is their turning point in Band-Maid's history.
They are in Chapter 2 now.

Dumb question, what does art director usually do? I know like in gaming industry, AD usually keeps the consistency of the art direction with the game director. So yeah what else beside the broom part you explained, do you also plan on composition of each shots, make it more cinematic, how to plan/make the shots?

    • @ALovelyPenguin
      @ALovelyPenguin  5 месяцев назад

Hey!! This is an awesome question!! So as the Art Director my job is to pout plans into motion. There is someone called a Set Designer above me who works with the director and producers to figure out what exactly they want. My job is then to take that plan and make it happen, so I coordinate with the Carpenters, Set dressers and Art PAs to make it happen. I go an get any supplies we need to buy while the set designer gets the rental process started. from then its really exactly as you say, I am on set making sure that everything is in the right place for each take and along with the Set Dressers. then at wrap I am also in charge of delegating clean up and returns.
I also have been all three other positions (Set dresser, carpenter and Art PA)
