Mad props for the extra credit work to give us all the handy-dandy numbered map of all the deposits! I always feel like map making never gets the credit it really deserves, despite the enormous amount of time it ends up saving other players! I really hope that the Switch version will run better once it goes full launch next year, because the more of these live streams & tutorial vids I watch, the more I'm seriously tempted to get the game!
I have the switch version, and honestly it’s not as buggy as I was expecting, and I do not regret purchasing it at all! Yes, there can be a bit of lag sometimes (primarily when it rains, which isn’t that often) and there are crashes here and there, and you’ll eventually get into a habit of saving your game often, but the game is still 100% playable and enjoyable! I haven’t been able to put it down, and have yet to experience any major issues that prevent playability in any capacity. I HIGHLY recommend getting it. I was also on the fence about buying it and held off for a week after release (right after the first dev patch), for the same concerns you had about how it was going to run on switch. I finally just decided to take the leap and get it because it looked like so much fun, and as I said, I have absolutely zero regrets. It seems to run the smoothest on PC from what I’ve gathered from RUclips videos (though have no personal experience with that myself), but the switch version really isn’t that bad. I only wish I bought it sooner!
It’s not that bad to be honest. I’m playing on switch (v2, not oled) and honestly I was surprised how good it works. It crashes sometimes but the auto saves are really common so you rarely lose a lot of progress. If you like it I say get it! It’s an amazing game :)
I’d agree with the statements above playing on switch. Saying that, I wish I’d bought it on pc given how much I’ve had it crash and I had to restart once, so if you have that option definitely buy it on pc!
Skip the plaza/meadows/beach if you are only farming iron and gold. Other 3 areas are waste and the mine spots will still respawn in time for your path
If you're going to do this, don't rely on basic fruit for energy. Make Berry Salad, and increase your movement speed. Blueberry + Raspberry + Gooseberry = Berry Salad It gives you over 2k energy, and counts as a meal so you can overcharge your energy bar into the yellow. Everytime your energy bar drops into the standard blue bar, eat another salad and enjoy the constant speed boost to your movement speed.
I came here to recommend the Berry Salad too! I also travel to the Ratatouille realm before mining and make some free meals, so I’m “well fed” and energy runs out slower. Then supplement with Berry Salads.

Once I grind out enough dreamlight to unlock the forgotten lands I'll have the full map then I can finally try this route out 😭 thanks so much for all the work put into this
My best tip for the food. make fruit salad with 5 cherries. when you eat one, it fills completely the energy bar. So I eat twice and get the running boost completely filled. I legit always have at least 20 fruit salads made with 5 cherries, always running full speed while doing my mining run.
@@AbdallahSmash i see your point. But still, running slow while doing this is feeling time wasting. When you legit use 2-3 minutes to cook and buy coal from kristoff, it really feels worth your while. But hey, it depends on what you want specifically. For me, the fast running has become normal running on almost everything I do, just by giving 5 minutes of my time per day cooking.

Iron ingots are the only issue I have with drops in this game I can run freely around the map but it's rare to get a decent run for iron iron is hottest item
@@AbdallahSmash the numbers blend together on a small screen because they a bubble type numbers. 13 looks like 12 & all of the 30's look like 20's. It's all the 3's. That might be what he's seeing.

Omg!! I searched forever for those darn emeralds! While I was searching I was kicking myself in the butt for selling all my duplicates. My thumb was getting so tired from hitting the button so much. Lol
@@BUSTAThERiCk in theory, yes. I've had it not quite work right unless I use elsa for mining though. Its good for collecting all your crops tho too because when you get the golden crops, the villager can get in the way and you'll miss the extra crops you could have gotten. People also recommend using remy in that instance if you don't want to lock up your villager. IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: do NOT teleport or enter any homes once you have a villager locked up because they will show up behind you and ruin the whole thing of having them locked up away from you. lol

Don't do the berry salad. If you use 5 raspberries or cherries to make a fruit salad it gives you WAY more energy! 😊

That’s a good idea if you like spending extra time + coal cooking! Grabbing berries on the fly along the way is just as good and saves you a step.

You need coal for cooking.

They stay away from you and then when you're done and release them, they throw out all the extras they would have given along the way all at once.
