- Inspired by an old video I saw back when I was a bit of a whippersnapper myself and when Detroit was fairly new, I made my own version of it. You can see a few scenes are identical, if not, the same, but most of it is different from the original. The original was a great reference though, cause I'm horrendous at drawing Hank! :(

That shot of Cole and Hank in the car followed by Connor and Hank in the car is just amazing!!! The imagery in that shot is just so perfect, and I never thought to make the comparison between the two of them riding together- just brilliant!!! That particular part stands out to me the most for some reason and I just had to say something about it cause I haven’t seen anyone else point it out! (The companions between Hank holding Cole and Connor while they die and flashing between them is also awesome. )

So I've seen the other animation, was actually subscribed to that cc when it came out. I couldn't help but notice some of the scenes were stupid similar, so I checked the description and surprise surprise
I wanted to let you know, the other artist had an absolutely beautiful art style and amazing presentation
You on the other hand, had a better grasp of how to put them together, I had an incredibly easier time understanding your animatic. Even then, you still had a lot of unique pieces about it. Just wanted to let you know, you did absolutely incredible and I love your art style.

I LOVE THIS SMM!! your art style is super cool, i LOVE the sliding image at the chorus - connor's pose in the second one especially is super well made and equally chilling, i love it! all the included scenes like the waiting for hank mission and him almost shooting connor were such nice touches too - really made the animatic that much more meaningful! the cut to hank holding the gun in time with the music, MAN
also the comparison with cole at the end AGHH. i love rewatching this every once in a while - super well made, deserves so much appreciation!!! also helped me get back into art

I actually didn't make the scenes in order of the music! So you can see the scenes tend to get lazier and lazier from the beginning of the song 😭😭 i did the Connor chorus scene as the very first scene! I'm so glad you noticed all the little details I put into this animation 😭❤❤

I've watched other ('original' /''inspiring') Animatic many times since I really liked the idea, but I was afraid that the author saw Connor and Hank in a more romantic relationship, rather than Father /Son . So I'm glad I've bumped into this video. You gave clearance with referring to Kara/Alice and Markus/Carl, that Connor and Hank relationship in this video is platonic 💙 Also, there's a lot more scenes with Connor, which I like, especially the one with graves- spine-chilling idea. Also, the artstyld is cute. Overall, I prefer from now on to replay this version :3

I had consulted and showed this video to the OG creator (ofc since it's heavily inspired and referenced), but I never thought to inquire about how they viewed their relationship, unfortunately..

I think it's a bit weird to ship them. Yes, they are both adults, but Connor is significantly younger than Hank, as well as the fact Hank canonically views Connor as a son
@@spoonsoop androids do not have age so shipping them is the most natural thing to do. Hank CANONICALLY views Connor as his partner/co-worker or friend (have no idea where you people get this nonsens about viewing Connosr as a son from) which he says himself as well as Connor confirms he likes Hank a lot. And even if Connor was a human, age gap exists in real world and is nothing criminal if both are consenting adults. All this father&son nonsense is just a headcanon made up by fandom while canon is friends and a lot of people outside of the fandom usually see them as lovers. But of course, hankcon is not for everyone and to ship it you have to be brave enough as well as mentally strong.
