Nicely done, although as a coffin dodger, I've never seen a TikTok, whatever that is, however it appears to be a big fav of Marek :) (that might have been sarcasm) :) this reviewer / channel is severely underrated. Common people hit that subscribe button. :)
My boss got the 760 PHEV and in reality it looks a bit better (or maybe the M-pack looks better on the grey color he has). However, the inside is crazy comfortable and the soundproof is amazing. Personally would have bought a house on that budget, but I guess you can't drive a house (but you can definitely have a good nap in the 7 series).
The rear camera washes just bugs me -- why not to have the camera under the logo where it remains clean and expose it on need instead, like seome VW do?
Also Mercedes does this. I noticed (especially in VW) the logo pops out with quite a bang, so the first thing that pops into head is "I hit something". Also I imagine in cold climate it could freeze. So could this BMW contraption, I guess. As for the camera being constantly exposed, it may have something to do with the on-board video recorder. I think records, and saves last X seconds of what's going on around the car at all times. And you can also see it through the app. Kind of like Tesla's Sentry Mode.
BMW is a great car (in the days of Pierce Brosnan - 007). Today it is the car of a сhinese businessman who made money by stamping headphones for сhinese "smartphones". BMW is sliding into the same hole where Mercedes is already, but so far only Audi is rolling. All attempts to make expensive from scrap, have never been successful. Along the way, quality, reputation and interest to the brand are lost. And some Cupra Formentor looks much juicier than "newly made chinese-ish chewing gum." Thank you very much for the interesting review, as always
Enjoyed your review. I currently have a 2016 740d, which I love, but next week take delivery of a new 760e. Seeing this video makes me think maybe I should have just stayed with the diesel and its incredible range. Have no idea how the hybrid will do in this regard, but I thought better to get that than the i7, and then have range issue when on longer trips. I have ordered the Tanzanite Blue with night blue Grand Lusso interior. (Did this because I already have on order (in Australia) a BMW iX50 in Adventurine Red, and didn't want two vehicles the same colour. My wife and I are in our seventies and enjoy the comfort of 'full size' cars. The 760e is to keep in our home in Switzerland, and the size of this could be a challenge in Swiss car park spaces! We just came back from a road trip in Austria with average fuel consumption of 7 litres per 100km. Ordered the 32" screen, but will be interested to see how much we get to use it! Marek, please put up a review on the 760e. There are just none on RUclips, except walk arounds (not drive tests) and you being very informative would do all BMW buyers a service. (although too late for me, now our car is ready built).
Thanks. I'll see if I can get one in for a test drive, although probably not any time soon. There is only so much 7 Series content I can post in 12 months :) Very nice spec. And as it's Switzerland, the PHEV will probably be more welcome there, than a diesel. Meanwhile, I'd be very much interested to hear your opinion in the PHEV in a couple of months. Please drop me a line!
I know it's because of the EV version, but this new 7 series still looks hilariously chunky. I'm confused as to who the target market for this car is though. All that tech seems to be aimed at a younger market, but I'm not sure they're interested in big sedans?
Did I hear China? This car is borderline vulgar and the tech is as developed as aforementioned Tesla's automatic wipers. Undoubltelbly it is superior in many ways to majority of other cars, but to me this car confirms the industry lost its way and it develops features only for the sake of having them. I love the debunking of connectivity and streaming solution. To my knowledge you are the only reviewer that bothered to describe the half baked 8k display functionality. I loved the #donglelife reference! Awesome!
It's probably because I don't have a TV at home. I watch all there is to watch on my 13" laptop, and the idea of putting an 8K monitor in a car is ridiculous in the first place. And that's before we get to the UX.
I don’t like the BMW 7-series. I grant I’m a Mercedes guy my whole life (my first car was a 25 year old Mercedes 240D with at least 700k miles on it that ran reliably for six months until some nitwit in a Honda Civic t-boned it- I walked away, he died), but then I dislike the EQS intensely and feel rather meh about the new S-class. They just don’t seem luxurious enough for my taste; gimcrackery is not luxury- quality is luxury, time is luxury, solidity is luxury. The W126 is what a luxury car should be. Not saying I don’t believe in new cars; I just ordered a new Sprinter.
Ok, this video needs a warning for the intro..... I can't un see that now. 😂 As for the huge car, meh, it's a huge sedan that most people will never be able to afford. Now have you thought of a porn errrrrr. Tick Tok name?
problem with EVs is that they are expensive and that electricity costs more on rechargers then ordinary fuel while recharging around hour and this range for evs are only if you drive it around 80kmh on average so who wants drive shitty EV 80kmh on highway !?
There's that :) While I see an electric 7 Series as an airport shuttle for some fancy hotel or a corporation, I don't see a high-level executive driving it across Germany, even taking into account great charging infrastructure along the way. That being said, do high-level executives drive cross country or are they flow by helicopter or airplane, while not giving a toss about emissions they then generate? :)
@@MarekDrivesENG i7 seems more like fifth car in home of richer peoples for some showing in front of peoples in neighbourhood while for anything else its basically useless or you can only lost nerves/mind with it
This reminds me when E65 came out. Everyone was blaming it for the design, now it seems not so bad.
Just diesel in Europe while you are business man. EV just for fun and third car. Diesel rules. Way to go Marek! You are excellent!

There are many around Vienna and Zürich and I have to say it looks really really impressive.
(PH)EVs or diesel?
Bought one...same color but shadowline option🙂...incredible car...very enjoyable driving😊
Enjoy it
Thank you😊

A car to be driven in, rather than drive. For me at least. Skol Marek.
Skol!
I'd say this one does both jobs well.
I wish the BMW X7 had the interior design of the 7-series.

Headlights borrowed of a Citroen Cactus lol
Yes, a lot of people seem to notice that :)
Name and design taken from Citroen.
Thank you for your video. I opted for the 740i and agree with others, the 7 series looks way better in person.
Good choice!
In the Netherlands the I7 is very populair but you see never them in this beautiful colour.
The Netherlands seems to be the ideal market for EVs. How far can you drive across the country? 350 km between the farthest points?
@@MarekDrivesENG And the infrastructure is better. You can charge your car everywhere.

I'm a 67 year old Disabled African American, my BMWs will be 'Electric'. As I be treating them as the equivalent of a 'Senior' citizen's 'scooter'.

HIDEOUS!

The car looks absolutely hideous and tasteless.
