Hi James & Chris. I have still got my original Ping Zing putter in my spare bag but changed to the B60 when it was re-introduced. One point that wasn't made relates to the ball you play. I think the combo between ball and putter is very important as not everyone plays TP5 / Pro V etc. I, for example, use the Wilson DX2 Soft and I love it on the greens with mu putter. Keep up the great work lads!!
I love the ping woods and irons James but got fitted for a odyssey 2 ball o works red last year and it's transformed my putting big time. Always purchased putters with toe hang as i thought i had an arching stroke but how wrong was i. Turned out i have a straight back and through stroke and the 2 ball works a treat. The putter that changed the game in my view and still one of the best putters ever made. One club in the bag i will never ever change as it gives me 100% confidence every time I'm on the green
Hi James just watched you with the new ping putter ,and yes it is the most important tool /club in the bag ,I’ve got the kushin c sigma 2 ,which after thousands of dollars and every other putter I’ve bought, this is by far the best for me ,love your show and thanks for being you ,Aussie Aussie Aussie, now that I’ve got my putting right, the driver is a f8 cobra and one length f8 6/pw 5 games in ,the rake 51,and callaway 54/60 ,a moon wood 5 /25 ,a Callaway ,rogue 4 hybrid, cleaveland uhx 3 iron, the epic gbb 3 wood,in my bag ,wow what a mess ,anyway I’m 56 and have had every club that has come out , 15 hc most of my life , I have played to 9 and have a pb 4 over ,and shot a pb 75/a few games ago ,love your show thanks
The Ping Heppler range of putters is very complete and very nice. I have tried some of them. Well made and work well. I love the Spider line from T.M. though and waited it out and just came away with a Spider S to try for 90 days. I really like it. Think its a keeper. Some of the Ping putters though did interest me. Its really a great line. Great job on this review James. Love your work !!!! Thank you sir. Joe
I went from a scotty m2 to a ping sigma 2 valor and it’s fantastic the height adjustment is amazing I’m down to a 32 inch putter from a 34 scotty and this has made a big difference , great video James well done mate 👍
I've owned a dozen or so PING putters (mostly Anser style) and currently bag a PING Anser 2 Vault. It's an excellent putter. Over the years I've used PING putters with and without inserts but prefer a no insert putter. I've also found the larger B060 grip to work exceptionally well.
I played a Ping Anser4 for years. On the advice of my pro, he had me switch to a mallet style. Been gaming a TaylorMade Monza Corsa for years now. I don't change clubs, especially putters very often.
The + & - dial is not for height, it's for braking putts. I leave my dial on all the time. Right to left putts, turn dial to +, if left to right turn it to -. About the hard face, just carry in your pocket ,for example, a Chrome soft ball for down hill putts and if you miss the putt past the hole, then switch to the Chrome Soft + for uphill putts . It works wonders for me.
All ping in the bag. Currently have the vault oslo at 37 inches. Waiting for the heppler piper arm lock to come in the shop to get my hands on. Loving the black chrome shafts and the new grip on this new range
Great review James ! I have a Sigma 2 ZB2 custom build which I just received yesterday!. Ping added 20 grams of Tungsten powder into the head ( I initially wanted 40 grams but they had to stop at 20 grams to avoid damaging the head). Cost me an extra $250 for the custom order, not complaining i needed it since the stock head is to light for me at a 350 grams I Prefer the SOFT dual insert TR (true roll face tech) thats in the Sigma 2. Getting same distance out of mishits off the face is an amazing technology ! I also have an Evnroll ER2 since March 2017 and they have similar face tech with variable depth & spacing of the grooves, which give you more energy to the ball on mishits compared to center strikes ! My ARCCOS putter handicap is +5.4, I’ve putted the best in 2019 in my life with my ER2 ! Also, one thing should be noted is that the Swingweight changes as you change the putter length! I wound up putting about 6 strips of Lead tape on the bottom of the sole of the ZB2 in order to get to a D5 SW. My ER2 is at E0, which is also nice and solid for me ! I’m comfortable within D5 to E0
Nice putters but like centre shafted putter had a Ping C67 centre shafted putter in my bag for 12 years with 2 thumb putter grip. Just put a centre shafted spider putter in last year . Great review
I have used a ping putter it is the Anser oldie but I am trying a Cameron Newport 2.My putting is not the best this past year. So I am getting fitted next month to see what I should be using. Shaft length, and what head to use too. thanks for the nice video.
The putter is by far the most used club in a round of golf yet it is the most over looked in terms of practice & proper fitting, thanks for the insights today James and kudos to your putting guru.
Never played a ping putter. Currently using an accu-line oversize that is an anser style. I just bought a knight ez roll, mostly to see if a putter that has more alignment tools will help my game.
Was expecting a different angle from the video title. For me Ping always made the best putters, but since their patents expired, everyone else is now making nicer versions of their designs. Just bought a Scotty Newport 2.5 as there's no Ping Anser 4 these days. Always been my favourite blade design.
I think putting is the key to lowering your score. I have always had some type of taylormade putter until 5 months ago. I got a odyssey stroke lab 7 and it had been working unbelievably well for me. I think it is mental with me but as long as it works that's all that matter. The idea that ping came out with is awesome but for now I will stick with the stroke lab 7. I wouldn't mind trying the scotty cameron putter you have been using but it is a bit to expensive for me.
Looks similar to the karsten tr they brought out a while back. Wouldn't mind giving a firmer face a go as my current odyssey proper struggles on long putts.
Question, why in Europe is the pronunciation for the letter "Z" pronounced "Zed" and not just "Z"? Is that the way with the pronunciation of Z at the end of the alphabet in Europe also? Just always wondered. Thanks!
Newman , its pronounced different ways, singularly its Zed, within words its zee or ze. Kinda like A, how do you pronounce apple? The mysteries of English!!
I have a Ping Anser that I love. I like a smooth faced putter...my theory is that if you have two irregular surfaces (ball and putter face) there is more room for error than if you have only one irregular surface...the ball. I will try this new range but doubt I will change at this time.
Played lots of ping putters. Was a putter junkie until I got an evnroll. But still have my first ping anser 3 I got in 1997. The old ping is trustworthy but the face tech from evnroll is a difference maker. Good video and to most amateurs getting the speed and enough roll to get there makes a difference. Soft faces do work well on fast greens but not all amateurs play on quick greens
You ever use the Check go pro James? I've found it's helped out my putting, and driving accuracy immensely. I personally have never used a ping putter, but I've always wanted one of the old school ones that actually make a loud "ping" sound with every putt. I like how the new style has the ability to change the length of the putter though.
Need to give this putter a try I actually do not like soft face putters specially trying to feel the ball for pace on slow and fast greens. Currently using the odyssey and I do not like there face🤷🏻♂️
I'm not a fan of the softer sigma feel. I also tend to use a softer feeling tour type ball and it makes it feel almost numb. I like the contrasting colors of black and copper. I am however not really a fan of the adjustable length. During the swing I could feel a bit of movement under the grip because of how the tech for adjustment works. Great video james keep em comin!
How tall are you, James? I would have thought that a 35 inch putter might be too long for you, but it didn't appear so in this video. Cheers, and keep up the good work.
i have a Ping ZIng 2 putter but can not get on with it, i actually use a Benross Tribe MDX IV putter which i like and works better for me than the Ping
I bought a stealth adjustable putter, the handle is loose, brought it back to golf town, ping told them it would cost "me" $ 120 usd to fix it....its junk...is there a fix
I had exactly the same problem and had to sell it. Such a shame as I loved the overall feel, the grip and the shaft adjustability but came up short of the hole too many times. I bought an Evnroll ER7 and have never putted better. Incidentally, there is a rumour that the latest version of Ping's TR groove technology is not as good as previous versions as they had to change it because it was infringing Evnroll's groove patents.
Uesd Ping Anser 4 for last 24 years went for a putter fitting the ping gave me a putting H'cap of 7 changed to a balanced face putter and it gave me a putting H'cap of +1.7 so Ping had to go lol
Got fitted for a new putter last year ended up with Ping Sigma 2 Valor set at 32" brilliant putter but I feel Ping have fallen into the TaylorMade et al trap having to release new product all the time for everyone's sake I wish they would release no more than every 2 years 3 would be ideal but that will never happen. Plus cost has gone through the roof it is not value for money. My favourite thing for improvement is free, short game practice, practice oh and more practice
I love the way they’ve done this. I’ve never personally owned a ping but in a way I do think that having just one putter doesn’t really cut it on every green because they’re all different (unless you have a circle T) lol 😂 I noticed when our greens were fast I was nailing everything with my Scotty Newport 2 but then when the rain came I struggled getting the ball to the hole because they were slow so I went and ordered a mallet to help when those conditions hit.
Bit of a "ClickBait" title there James? Everything about the Heppler range is pure class even down to the name, I couldn't see any of the other OEM's naming a range of Putters after a recently deceased long-serving employee unless their name was "Go Faster Mustang Turbo-Generator Smith"

A - lum - in - um. Spell it........Say it. What the heck........al - lu - min - i - um ???? Thanks to Chris for the arm alignment lesson. I like it. Putters are a head game. I found that if I sleep with my putter all is well. Thanks James.
Hi James & Chris. I have still got my original Ping Zing putter in my spare bag but changed to the B60 when it was re-introduced. One point that wasn't made relates to the ball you play. Now I find myself going back to catch up on all your videos you did before I started watching! Great to see Chris also! You 2 are so much fun!

Every time I come back to my Heppler Ketsch, I just love it. The feel is fantastic. Tremendous putters.
Still have my 11-year-old Ping Karsten Anser. I think one of the questions out there is grooves vs. no grooves: which is better?
I've owned a dozen or so PING putters (mostly Anser style) and currently bag a PING Anser 2 Vault. It's an excellent putter. Over the years I've used PING putters with and without inserts but prefer a no insert putter. I've also found the larger B060 grip to work exceptionally well.
James between the putter which one would be better for straight back and straight through?
I played a Ping Anser4 for years. On the advice of my pro, he had me switch to a mallet style. Been gaming a TaylorMade Monza Corsa for years now. I don't change clubs, especially putters very often.

Ha ha ha. This cracked me up. Nice one.
All ping in the bag. Currently have the vault oslo at 37 inches. Waiting for the heppler piper arm lock to come in the shop to get my hands on. Loving the black chrome shafts and the new grip on this new range
The whole colour scheme and their PP grip designs in the same colour scheme are really really cool. They nailed it. Annoying clickbait title
James I have the Ping Sigma Fetch in my bag and love it. Being 6ft 6" tall the ability to lengthen the shaft so easily really appealed
Johnathon Andrew I’m 6’5” and also have the Ping Sigma 2 Fetch. Not having to bend over while practicing is a plus.
Loving the content James! I renewed my whole bag last year but couldnt ditch my ping B60 from the 1990s, love it..
michael forrester I also have a Ping B60, 1987/88 I think. Have not used it for years but won’t part with it!
@@seancook2264 not far off being antique! Enjoy
I've got one too and love it. Just picked up last year for $45 on Ebay.
Please help !!Which ping heppler putter has the maximum toe hang ?? I don’t take the putter back straight or inside instead a bit to the outside
I would go with the Heppler line with the aluminum face and centershafted. I have said it multiple times, aluminum is not utilized enough in putters.
Wow what a great idea 😊 adjusting the length of the putter for the individual xx
Great review James ! I have a Sigma 2 ZB2 custom build which I just received yesterday!. Ping added 20 grams of Tungsten powder into the head ( I initially wanted 40 grams but they had to stop at 20 grams to avoid damaging the head). Short sleeves, you Northern chaps are made of steel...Loving the daily videos fella.👍🍺
Love it when Chris shows up.
Glad someone does 😂
Nice putters but like centre shafted putter had a Ping C67 centre shafted putter in my bag for 12 years with 2 thumb putter grip. Just put a centre shafted spider putter in last year . Great review

I have the Sigma 2 Tyne. I added lead tape to the bottom of the club to add some weight and feel. Love it now.
Never played a ping putter. Currently using an accu-line oversize that is an anser style. I just bought a knight ez roll, mostly to see if a putter that has more alignment tools will help my game.
Use the Sigma 2 Tyne and no reason to change. Insert in face but not really soft. Adjustable grip allows me to extend length to36.
Never owned a Ping putter - only Callaway but currently using a Wilson Staff now and can’t fault it. Great value for money.
Was expecting a different angle from the video title. For me Ping always made the best putters, but since their patents expired, everyone else is now making nicer versions of their designs. Just bought a Scotty Newport 2.5 as there's no Ping Anser 4 these days. Always been my favourite blade design.
Never had a problem with my shaft length and lie angle. Not that I've been told anyway. Maybe been going to the wrong pro.
Pros tend to compliment you on your length because they want repeat business...

This is my issue too. My 2ball is awesome from 6ft but it needs to be because I leave 20ft putts 6 feet shy. How have you got on with the heppler?
@@flipperboot1823 ended up with the odyssey o works 7 after much deliberation. Can't fault it.
I like a softer face. The greens I typically play are really fast I like to feel like I actually hit the ball versus slightly tapping the ball.

Newman I also wondered why H sometimes seems to be a vowel in the U.S. an (h) erb and not a herb with the H pronounced?
lambrettabad totally agree with you here. Where does the “h” go when pronouncing the word?!!!
Can the grip be changed to any grip, or does it have to be one of the PP grips from Ping?
The height adjustability is very interesting, but will that contraption affect my ability to re-grip it myself in future?
I have a Ping Anser that I love. I like a smooth faced putter...my theory is that if you have two irregular surfaces (ball and putter face) there is more room for error than if you have only one irregular surface...the ball. I will try this new range but doubt I will change at this time.
I like a hard putter, I'm gaming a Pal 2 BeCu, I find it shortens my swing, which means less variability/flaws
Great vid. Just my $0.02 from across the pond: it's uh-LOOM-in-um 😁
Black and copper looks mint, great feel, awesome putter
I’d love to see more videos with Chris on putting drills and techniques.

Great review on the new ping putter and fantastic having Chris back on your channel
I loved the sound of the ball coming off the putter. In the winter I tend to use a firmer ball due to the conditions.
Love the content as usual James. Fantastic facilities at waterfront and knowledgeable coaches in Chris Danny and Frank
Need to give this putter a try I actually do not like soft face putters specially trying to feel the ball for pace on slow and fast greens. Currently using the odyssey and I do not like there face🤷🏻♂️
Will you be reviewing the new Meevo+ in the near future
I got fitted last year (didnt know putter fitting was a thing) but added a ping sigma 2 to my bag.
Have you ever done evnroll putter reviews James? Can’t find any from yourself or remember you ever doing one
Yeah I used to have one of the redwood ones. Loved it but got rid about 20 putters ago 🤣
I'm not a fan of the softer sigma feel. I also tend to use a softer feeling tour type ball and it makes it feel almost numb. I like the contrasting colors of black and copper. Great video james keep em comin!
I have a classic Ping Anser, love it and just put on a new grip.
Mine is about 20 years old, brought from a pro shop at Piltdown, East Sussex.
How long is the circle T?
Still got and use an original Beryllium Copper B60. Nothing has beaten it yet.
Best looking putters I have seen in a long time.
Like the looks, would probably suit my game on slower greens.

Does Chris do putter fittings as well as lessons?
Muff 007 I will start doing fittings very soon at Waterfront in the next month 👍
Hi,
I bought the Ping fetch putter a few months ago and it’s awesome but I do find it difficult to hit the ball hard enough for long putts. 😒
Did you get the Sigma fetch? Switch to a Heppler
Always go back to my 20 year old anser it’s light and a firm face. Tried so many putters but nothing putts like my anser.
I love my Sigma Fetch but find the face too soft on slow greens. I can see me buying the new Fetch and switching when needed.
I’m using a Ping TR Tomcat S, for some reason it’s very easy to aim love the shape, but it has a dead feel compared to an odyssey O works.
Had my Ping G2 Tess for years tried a few others but still with the Tess, love it.
Ping is in it to produce the best products for all. They make different product, so everyone can find what works best for them.
Uesd Ping Anser 4 for last 24 years went for a putter fitting the ping gave me a putting H'cap of 7 changed to a balanced face putter and it gave me a putting H'cap of +1.7 so Ping had to go lol
Yes I have had a ping answer 2..(now the spider)..ping has great quality work in their equipment!
Yes. Owned a ping b60 fora whole bunch of years. Traded the one ping in on a Scotty that looks just like the old ping. Still use it to this day
I love the way they’ve done this. I’ve never personally owned a ping but in a way I do think that having just one putter doesn’t really cut it on every green because they’re all different (unless you have a circle T) lol 😂
I noticed when our greens were fast I was nailing everything with my Scotty Newport 2 but then when the rain came I struggled getting the ball to the hole because they were slow so I went and ordered a mallet to help when those conditions hit.
I still use my ping g2i craz-e h putter from 2004-2005. Ping everything or just don't swing.
Bit of a "ClickBait" title there James?
Everything about the Heppler range is pure class even down to the name, I couldn't see any of the other OEM's naming a range of Putters after a recently deceased long-serving employee unless their name was "Go Faster Mustang Turbo-Generator Smith"

Hard to go forward when you hit the firewall of perfection with the Anser 2.

I have had a Ping Nome for the last 11 year’s but love the look of this new line and will need to try it.
I'm not crazy about the color scheme. I tried them at the PGA Demo Day last week. Rolled great but the color isn't to my liking
