    Fifty-five years ago, when I first stopped eating murder victims, I thought I would die because meat was "necessary." I was willing to die because I simply couldn't hurt animals anymore. Like Andy Mars, I learned gradually of the amazing health benefits of veganism. So many of the things he says resonate so strongly with me; especially the baked potato part!
    I'm only halfway through the video and will watch the remainder later.

    Interesting side note, 1989 my wife literally wake up in bed sat up and said it’s not right to eat animals ♥️. Wasn’t till 13 years ago till we we t all plant based no oils no sugars limited salt she lost 55 lbs and normalized her bp and I started ice skating and trail running at 58. Today we’re almost 70. I’ll run my first 50k this august. So happy the universe took us down this path. It wasn’t a conscious decision to do this…it just happened

Unfortunately, this society, our family, meat, dairy and egg industries are doing a great job of brainwashing people, making sure consumers are disconnected from their natural empathy and addict us to tortured, chemically enlarged body parts of innocent beings. #vegan4animals.

    I've also been a vegan for a long time.... discovered the teachings of the Ramban and this facet of jewish ethics spoke to me strongly. later, I began to see the health and sustainability issues and was glad to embrace those too. have never had difficulty w/ giving up animal products; by now, the idea of eating meat is revolting. I occasionally make some nondairy cheeses, but aside from that don't feel a need for substitutes.

    Live longer with beans. FOOD HABITS IN LATER LIFE STUDY was undertaken among five cohorts in Japan, Sweden, Greece and Australia. Legumes were found to be the most important dietary predictor of survival in older people of different ethnicities. The results showed that for every 20 grams (one ounce) increase in daily legumes intake there was an 8% reduction in the risk of death. This study shows that no matter what your ethnic background or where you live, eat more legumes to live longer, especially as you age. Of all the food groups including meat, legumes alone had consistent and statistically significant results.

      Thank you so much for watching, being genuinely interested in improving, commenting, and trying to do what's best! I have some resources on my website at veganlinked.com/govegan that may help. Essentially it's just a matter of eating legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a variety of each. Consider making a friend with a long-time healthy Vegan if you can. You may want to try vegan outreach to see if you can get a mentor. You can also see if there is a vegan Facebook group in your area or Meetup or potluck or start one if there isn't already! Don't be afraid to ask for help and if you have any difficulties you can always consult a lifestyle medicine practitioner.

    Verily I say unto you, in the beginning, all creatures of God did find their sustenance in the herbs and the fruits of the earth alone, till the ignorance and the selfishness of man turned many of them from the use which God had given them to that which was contrary to their original use, but even these shall yet return to their natural food, as it is written in the prophets, and their words shall not fail.
    Isaiah 11:6-9
    6 The wolf will live with the lamb,
    the leopard will lie down with the goat,
    the calf and the lion and the yearling[a] together;
    and a little child will lead them.
    7 The cow will feed with the bear,
    their young will lie down together,
    and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
    8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
    and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
    9 They will neither harm nor destroy
    on all my holy mountain,
    for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
    as the waters cover the sea.

    I only became Vegan 5 years ago. You won't believe this. I have never heard anything about Veganism and have never heard any Vegan activist speaking before. Never heard of anything Vegan. Only after I became Vegan, I found out about Earthling Ed, Joey Carbstrong, James Aspey, Paul Bashir, Anonymous for the Voiceless... I always loved to cook and I did see some Vegan recipes, but I had no idea what that was.
    But one day I saw movie: Okja. I made the connection right away when watching the movie. I will never forget that day. I decided I will no longer participate in abusing animals. I had no idea what to eat. I thought I will be eating Lettuce and Broccoli for the rest of my life, I did not care. Not realizing that I will be eating more food than ever. So many options, recipes out of THOUSANDS of Superior Protein - PLANTS, grains, seeds, legumes, mushrooms, tofu... I was never concerned about Protein or anything else. But every day I learned new things (like Nooch :o), veganized all of my recipes. I influenced my Vegan (steak loving) husband as well. He said he loves animals so much and made the connection for himself. Both my husband and I, we evolved into WHOLE FOODS Plant Based Diet (last 2 years). It took him about 4 months after I became Vegan. Now my step-daughters are Vegan, my mom is Vegan, my cousin is Vegan, my sister-in-law is Vegan. #vegan4animals

    He’s doing well and going vegan is a great first step. It’s a great transition from a sad diet. However, humans are primates and primates are Frugivores which means we are designed to thrive on fresh fruits and leafy greens, raw living food is what we are made to live on. Hopefully he will realize this and raise his life to that level because it is a world apart from just being cooked vegan. This may sound a bit extreme or crazy until you actually live it and then you will know what I mean. Going raw vegan will transform your body, your mind and eventually your life. If you want to know more read 80/10/10 or go watch John Rose’s RUclips channel.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  Месяц назад

      You're talking about a diet and a theoretical one at that. As for what "humans are", this premise is based in fallacies. We are what we do. We are omnivorous based our collective eating patterns. We are not confined to this. Because we can extend our lifespans exercising science we can be more than what we were.
      There just isn't enough science supporting a completely raw diet. It seems cooking some foods is safer in regard to removing pathogens and certain compounds. Cooking also increases nutrients in some foods like carrots and tomatoes. It's all in the nuance. I may lightly heat certain greens to make the nutrients more bioavailable and reduce certain compounds, beet greens, spinach, swiss chard, etc... to reduce oxalates and goitrogens. Perhaps if my parents systematically adapted me early on to nibbling on legumes, grains, thick greens, toxins in mushrooms, etc... perhaps I might live forever on such an acclimated and strategic raw WOE.
      It is important to get into the nuance of dietary patterns to consider. I'm actually digging into this more with certain upcoming interviews. Lots of food for thought.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah sadly I heard something similar, I don't really know the details though. So I can't really confirm this or the reason why someone would go in such an idiotic direction. I know plenty of lifelong and long time vegans who have been just as long or even longer than they have been and still to this day have literally no reason to acquiesce to the social pressures.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +2

      What's funny is Tony Robbins, when he started eating a lot of fish he ended up getting Mercury poisoning. What's with these Robbins, when are you going to get it and stop poisoning themselves. Fish bioaccumulate environmental toxins like pcbs, Mercury, dioxins, etc plus there's deadly pathogens and other things like the neurotoxin betamethyl Amino alanine. Not to mention the fact that fish are sentient and overfished and overfishing is devastating to ecosystems and ultimately the planet.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +8

      Out of necessity perhaps not stupidity. In this day and time fish are tainted with environmental pollutants that bioaccumulate in their fatty tissue like Mercury, dioxins, pcbs, etc and BMAA. They are gravely overfished to the point that it's devastating ecosystems. And it's completely not necessary since we have such an efficient plant agricultural system. So consuming them under these circumstances is excessive, dangerous, devastating, invasive, and just flat out wrong.

    • @natashatomlinson4548

      Yes in Luke 24 is documented that Jesus ate a piece of fish . But the ONLY reason Luke put that in there was because he anticipated that there would be people who would say that the resurrected Jesus was a phantom or ghost and they don’t eat anything as solid as meat .
      First c Jewish peasants were almost all vegetarians anyway whether they wanted to be or not . We forget today with subsidized meat how expensive it has AKWAYS been throughout human history to obtain meat .
      An occasional fish from the Sea of Galilee and a piece of lamb at Passover was about as good as it ever got meat-wise for the average Jewish peasant like Jesus .
      Thirty years or so ago I was doing research on Luke 15 , the story of the prodigal son , and found one scholar who concluded that the “ fatted calf “ the father had killed for the prodigal son would’ve been the monetary equivalent of buying the prodigal son a brand new Mercedes today . In contrast , today calves are routinely looked upon as waste in the dairy industry in particular .
      Jesus almost certainly ate some fish and lamb but I can’t possibly see him not being a vegan today -it’s a totally different world of animal abuse today .

    Veganism would have shortened human life on earth to one year. People would have starved to death during winter. Agriculture was discovered only 10.000 years ago. Before that the people lived with the seasons and specially during winter ate meat for the most part. Before agriculture was discovered, vegetables and fruits have only been eaten during their seasons, and meat was the only food accessible at all weather conditions throughout a year.
    B12 is essential for development and the substitutes that keep people with a vegan eating disorder artificially alive nowadays, have only been accessible since some decades.
    People who promote this are not telling the truth about their diet (which is common behavior for people with eating disorders).

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +5

      Why are you stuck in a period of desperation when there was so much violence? Do you think we should enact slavery and concentration camps and wars and All the things throughout history that got us to this point? Sure there was a time when consuming body parts, organs and secretions were necessary to get us past the point of having babies before we die. But in this day and time everything you're saying is completely moot. Don't be stuck in the past, don't be stuck and stupid.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +5

      As for B12, animals that you're eating do not make B12. B12 comes from bacteria. And the majority of B12 supplementation goes to animal agriculture because they are deficient in it as they are not in their natural environment. Furthermore when they are there's not enough Cobalt in the soil. So why would you rather get B12 through the blood guts and gore of an animal that was forced into existence through artificial insemination, fed an unnatural diet like back when we were feeding dead cows back to the cows and causing mad cow disease, stuffed into concentrated animal feeding operations before they are prematurely slaughtered and cleaned in hopes to remove the deadly pathogens that ultimately become endotoxins that are toxic to your body, and then they're packaged and refrigerated so you can cook their remains because that's really the only way you can safely consume them, God wanted you to do all this insanity? Why have such a distorted sadistic interpretation of something spiritual?

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 месяца назад +3

      Sure there was a time when it was necessary to do all kinds of violent things but that time has passed. Live here and now not in a bloody past. Don't pretend to know something and then go spread misinformation that increases people's risk for chronic disease and all cause mortality. God didn't want you to make people sick so their lives are miserable as they develop chronic diseases and diaper immaturely.
