Dad had a one of these, same year, in white with white leather, white vinyl top. Kept for 20 years, sold in pristine condition. My wife and I borrowed it for our honeymoon in 81. I owned a couple of Cutlasses, all great cars! Olds might still be around if they hadn't quit making them.
Awesome old Cutlass! All of those GM Colonnade coupes really were some of the most cleverly designed and most beautiful cars of the '70s. Bill Mitchell truly was the master stylist! Thanks for showing us, Jeff!
I remember when my Dad bought this for my mom because she loved that metallic emerald green. I also remember her complaining because it sucked down premium gas, which had jumped to over 50 cents a gallon (and we had to wait in line for hours to get it due to the embargo). Of course with that 350 configuration, she was a little heavy on the gas ;)
My very first car was a 1973 Cutlass S (Sport) with a "Rocket" 350 4v; it was a fastback gold with brown vinyl top (yeah, vinyl - can you believe it?). That car ran great; wish I'd never sold it. Drank gas, but so reliable that it was still cheap to own and operate. Thanks for the video - it brings back some good memories for me.
Beautiful Olds. I've owned 9 Oldsmobiles and 2 Pontiacs. Although an Olds guy at heart, the car I drove when I turned 16 was the 73' Grand Prix. Triple black SJ. In 73' the GP's were equipped with real leather and real wood grain. In 74' the wood remained on all areas except the dash.
My grandfather had a 1973 Vista Cruiser wagon which he purchased new as he always liked Oldsmobiles , great video brings back a lot of memories of my grandfather's wagon as that was the car he taught me to drive in.
My neighbor had a car like this. With such a powerful engine, it ran very quiet. It was maroon with a black vynl top. Maroon interior, I think. Beautiful car. One of Oldsmobile's best.
@805ROADKING It's getting harder and harder to find them with low original miles like this one. I know you're not a huge fan of green, so thanks for checking it out anyway.
nice car, I always thought GM's personal luxury cars of this era are some of the most underrated classic cars of the era, it's not a wonder to see why these cars were so popular when they first came out.
This is too weird. I had a 73 identical to this. It originally had a blue paint job with a black vinyl top. I took the top off and had it painted the same color as this on. I thought I created that color. Craziness!!! I sold it before I joined the military. Wish I could've kept it.
I got a 73 cutless or my 16th Bday the carb went out after a few months and it sat in my yard for a few years. then my family moved and left it behind. to this day i have been kicking myself. and have looked high and low for another one. guess they're pretty rare nowadays
I just wish the engine was shown. When I was a kid my grandmother had this type of car in a different color and with a vinyl roof. Do to experiences with this car I have loved this car ever since and want one like she had.
Nice clean car. Don't see to many of those around any more, not one of the more desirable collector cars. And being a Caddy owner now, I couldn't help but notice the black Eldorado in the background....
Wow I had one of these it was my first car back in 1980 it was great car I paid 1900 bucks for it only had 50k miles red w/ black top sure wish I still had it:)
Very Nice Car!! Thank You For Sharing!! When I was 17 I had one....But not nearly in as good a shape as the one you have......it was black with a black vinyl top black interior....come to find out that it was originally Silver/Gray.....I called it Black Sunshine though.....I miss that car....I ended up selling it because the transmission went out on me....I sure wish I'd have kept it though.....But that's Life I guess....:D Beautiful Car you've got there though!!
Wow there's a 1970 buick electra in background with the first 455cid made by buick :376Hp and 510 f/p of torque ... my first car and had it for 15 years, It was a toque Monster ;)
what's the price for a 70's cutlass with the 350 rocket ordered from factory with everything ordered deluxe, original owner and paperwork, 51k original miles always garaged seats with plastic over them and vinyl top?
Your crazy 73 are the best there the rearer then any other Cutlass I have a 1973 Cutlass I'm restoring it now check it out under Vincent's 1973 cutlass

i can honestly say ive never seen a cutlass of that year on the road. mostly just the 77+'s..
@electra4554 Yeah, those 455's definitely are monsters. Maybe I'll get a look at it one of these days.
Oh Jeff brining back the memories buddy. How I disliked this color back then. Seemed every other car was pine green or brown.
Where you at Keith? I know you must have watched this video thousands of times, it's your cousin Bobby.
Nice car, don't see many of this year.
@wordface I had a 1973 Chevelle in this same color. They were very similar looking cars.
@FatGuyWithAKatana I had a 73 Chevelle in the same color...it was a pretty similar car.
I had a 74' in high school. Great car and lots of good memories. Is this one still for sale?
